My company makes lights and we include an IR remote. The advantage is that any smart hub with an IR blaster can then activate and adjust the lights. I'd recommend finding an IR dimmer that works over 5v.

We don't use anything like this on our products because we'd be answering connectivity issue emails all day. We'd rather just focus on the lights with a "dumb" bridge to smart home hubs.
