You can also carry a fixed blade knife under 4 inches but there is a saying that "the person who wins a knife fight is the one who dies at the hospital and not at the scene." So I would actually recommend getting one of these "defense pens." Getting slammed by that is going to fucking hurt. Plus even though it's technically a kubotan, it's also just a pen.

I carry one of these if I have to go somewhere dangerous. It's perfectly legal. Plus a quick flash of that to the eyes (I tested it on myself) is blinding for a good 2-3 seconds. Additionally, the bottle cap like edges on the flashlight are going to do a lot of damage. However it is quite expensive so as a minor I'm sure it isn't an option, but perhaps a small Mag-Light would also work.

Never heard of a tactical pen before so I had to look it up. Turns out Smith & Wesson makes them..

Dwight: Don't mess with me, I own a Smith & Wesson.

I wear my best set of those and carry this for paperwork when I go to buy a new firearm.

I carry a smith and wesson one, similar to this but not identical, if your employer really breaks balls about it, just put the cap over the point like in picture #2 and it looks like a regular pen

Wut? I apologize if I came off as a slam. Wasn't intentional.

I meant more that a pen usually has a clip that can be attached to a pants pocket for quick access instead of fishing around for it.
