You don't have to sell me on it, it's your call. Just some points to consider, since you asked.

With regards to liner locks and window punches, there are several other quality brands who make knives with rescue or emergency-oriented designs which could be re-purposed for your work.

  • Gerber Hinderer - This one looks promising: no auto-assist, has a liner lock and glass punch, full serration for heavy cutting and construction-y work.

  • Kershaw KO Rescue Blur - Liner lock, partial serration, window punch. Probably-better grip.

    These last two are a bit weird, and probably out because they're auto-assist (though generally legal, in most jurisdictions), but including them because they're kind of neat.

  • Serrated model
  • Straight edge
