/u/TenzingNarwhal gave some great info. (Rockin' username too, trust him, he's practically a king among internet Sherpas)

And you gave almost no information as to how you're using it.

I fall in with the other suggestions here, "it depends".

I have two propane (oh, 3, got a new one for Christmas - untried yet) lanterns that I use for car camping and base camping. I have tent LED "lights" that absolutely rock the small cabin and tent scene. And I don't carry any lantern at all backpacking, just flashlight and headlamp.

It all depends on your use. You could go with a full propane set up, 20# tank, a tree, lantern on top, stove on the side. Or you could go super lightweight. No idea what you're lookin' for.

I will note, for the large coleman propane lanterns, I've replaced the globes with screens that don't break. Diminishes the light a little, but overall, is a great solution to constantly breaking globes (yes, I could be more careful, yes, everyone else has globes that have lasted since their great grandfather's lantern was passed down, whatever, I have to deal with many different people handling my lanterns at times).

Sorry this is not more detail, but you gotta share with us how you want to use them. "Camping" is a relative term.
