If you don't care about latency and scaling artifacts something like this is a plug-and-play solution.

Thanks for the reply!

If you're looking for ways to convert VGA out to composite/S-video (I. E. if your TV has a yellow plug or this), then I remember the Extron scan converters, such as the VSC 500, VSC 700, and the Emotia series, doing a good job of converting the signals to those formats. I don't remember there being much input lag there, either. They usually sell on eBay for around $70. They can also convert RGB into component, which is also a plus. I also looked up this, but I can't attest to its quality or viability for gaming.

No, that won't work.

A. Buy this.

B. Buy this.

Connect output from A to input of B.
Output of B is what you want - composite video.

You now have a working solution.

A bunch of converters but the image is going to look terrible.

VGA--> composite adapter --> RCA male to F Connector --> wall jack.

Find the cable in your wiring box and use a barrel f connector to connect to the wire where your TV is located.

Wall jack --> coax cable --> f connector to rca male --> tv.

Edit : use a powered adapter at the dvr .. https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Resolution-Composite-S-Video-Converter/dp/B001NXDQEK
