Reddit mentions of Sunwayman R10A LED EDC Flashlight 140 Lumens Compact and Elegant Flashlight

I've had a Sunwayman R10a for about 6 months now that I've been pretty happy with. Like you, I was looking for something really simple in a single AA, and decided to take a chance on one of these (there's almost no info out there in the community about them). Removable clip, forward clicky, and only 2 modes: high and low, accessed by cycling the button quickly.

It has good build quality, nice and bright and battery life has been satisfactory. The only issue I had is about a month ago it started to become unreliable, not always coming on when clicked. It was also no longer giving me the highest brightness mode, which I assumed was a weird quirk of a partially discharged battery. 4 days ago it stopped turning on entirely, so I took it apart. It turned out the LED/driver assembly was simply loose where it threads inside the body. Tightened it down and it's been working perfectly since. I suspect it came from factory a little loose, but could be the result of getting dropped a few times.

I was actually planning on replacing it, but now that it's working properly again, I'm really happy with it and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future. I think it's good value at that price, and sounds like it may be exactly what you're after.
