If you have carpeting, you can do what I do. Get some of those slider pad things on the feet of the loveseat. You can push/slide it over a bit to center one seat when alone, and slide it back for sharing. I use the super sliders brand with great success, but I get those mostly because I can buy them in the store.

If they're on right, it doesn't take much effort at all to move even on a recliner couch. Unless it weighs more than you do, then you slide instead! :D
