Cherry and Kailh made low profile switches not that long ago for low profile mechanical boards.
Only a few companies are making them like Havit and Tesero but more companies will hop on board later.

I know that there's some mechanical boards with low profile switches (since it seems like you want fast actuation). Such as the tesoro low profile board

Going with MX speeds would also be fine, although I don't know the difference of actuation between the two.
Any mechanical boards should be durable enough.

I had bought these orange keycaps: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DP1T49C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and was super depressed to find out that even though they were Cherry MX, they weren't compatible with my board; the keys were too large for the switch placement and they overlapped into one another.

Does anyone have a recommendation for TKL board that has both RGB under-glow and either white or RGB for the individual switches?
I am very intrigued by the Ganss GK-87. It's almost exactly what I am looking for... but I am a bit turned off by the "icy blue" LEDs on the top of the board.
Basically, I am looking for a hybrid of something with this beautiful RGB base and something with the top LEDs of this.
Expensive answer: Tesoro Gram Spectrum comes in white and features low profile/floating keycaps. You could buy it and harvest the caps, maybe resell the board on mechmarket to someone who could add their own keycaps.
