ThruNite Archer 2A
Not a very common enthusiast form factor, but the ThruNite Archer 2A looks good. Has a belt clip, and loosening the cap a quarter turn should prevent accidental activation.
Thanks a lot!
I guess I'll try out the archer 1a in nw because I already have a t10 and still want more AA lights for pocket carry.

I don't believe there are a ton of decent 2xAA lights out there. This is one of the more popular ones.

Thrunite Archer 2A. Thanks for this opportunity!
Thanks man, great giveaway!
Thrunite Archer 2A
Your best bet would be one of these. Yes, its expensive. You won't be able to use AA's anymore, either. This driver only works with 2x14500 Li-Ion cells. You won't find a readily available driver that works with 2xAA. Let us know if you decide you want to do this and we can discuss the options.
Realistically, you might be better off with a new light. If you want to stick with 2xAA, something like the Thrunite Archer 2A V3 in neutral white. It'll have a better UI, and it will be much more robust and reliable.

No, please don't look at maglite.
Instead look at the Atactical A1, Thrunite T10 neutral white or the Thrunite Archer 1A V3
Edit: or the Thrunite Archer 2A v3 for a little more baton for " beating on the kids"
ThruNite Archer, current one is a little old and long in the tooth.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Love your site!
USB charging in a light smaller than a 18650 is going to be rare.
Here's three options, but be aware they don't have USB charging.
The ThruNite T10 and the ThruNite Archer 2A v3 are both available on Amazon.
Or check out the ArmyTek Partner A2 if you want to squeeze the max out of AAs at this price point.
Wow.... Thanks so much for doing this!
ThruNite Archer 2A V3 Neutral White for my hat into the ring!

Thrunite Archer 2A Neutral White with the L91 batteries that parametrek mentioned would do well. Nice long run times on the low modes to not eat up those expensive batteries. And you can always roll with Eneloops when you know you're going to be using it on a trip or something and not storing it in the sweltering heat.
I dont know how to embed it in my comment.. so here's just the url

First, 10440? or 14500? 10440 is AAA size Lithium, 14500 is AA size.
Also, for both AAA and AA you can run Eneloops in almost any AA/AAA light to save replacing batteries.
Nothing in a AA/AAA size is really going to be "throwy" in that form factor.
The ThruNite Archer 2A would have a throw of ~100 meters, which is WAY bigger than you'd need for a theater, and you can buy some Eneloops and a charger for less than the Coast.
If you want the smaller form factor, the ThruNite Ti4(or its Titanium Cousin) will have about ~54 meters of throw (which would be enough) in a slimmer package and again leave room for a charger and batteries.
