With some goods, yes.

Edit: For example: .com and .uk
Same products, but factoring the exchange rate, one is half price!

Personally, I would go for IEMs. For commuting, especially on planes they are unbeatable.

They are not for everyone due to fit and comfort issues, but I have never had an problem with it, just some people can't get over it.

Soundwise they can be amazing and as they passively block most noise you can actually lower the volume and really hear detail.

I have Etymotic ER4-Ps which are pretty much the grand-daddy of IEMs but something like these UEs or these shures would also be great.

Yeah well 90% of the time I'm in a bar it's because I'm playing in the band. I've got a wireless guitar setup so when I'm not busy singing I'll jump off the stage and run around the bar interacting with the crowd.

Best part? I'm also using in-ear monitors so I really really can't hear what anybody is yelling at me as I wander around.

I just have to assume that they're either giving me some sort of random compliment on the band "You guys are great! Blarkha blarkha blorp!" or they're asking me if we know such and such song "CAN YOU GUYS PLAY SOME BON JOVI?! BLOARHFRAMBLAMBADOO!"

I'm weird with compliments so if I think they're doing that I'll just clink beers with them (playing one handed while drinking a beer with the crowd is worth the effort) and go "WOOOOOO!" and pose for their photo. If they have the serious "Asking the band to play a song face" (that's a thing, you know) I'll usually shake my head and yell "SORRY WE JUST DON'T KNOW THAT". All of this taking place with me hearing 0% of their side of the conversation and while playing at the same time.

I can only assume that the following scenarios have taken place.

> Customer : "HEY YOU GUYS FUCKING SUCK, WHY ARE YOU PLAYING A HELLO KITTY GUITAR YOU FAG"

> Me : "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! [pose for photo-op]"

--------------

> Customer : "HEY CAN YOU PLAY MY-FAVORITE-SONG-EVER?"

> Me : "SORRY WE JUST DON'T KNOW IT"

Then I run back to the stage and the next song on our list just happens to be their favorite song and they go apeshit and think I was just being an asshole.

I probably was, though. I love being an asshole to drunk crowds.
