I have them too. Can confirm reset issues. It happens constantly throughout the day. Perhaps 20 times in an 8 hour period. I have these on the way (arrive tomorrow, woo!) to replace them: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003BYRGKE/ref=shptrk_scth

i would go over to /r/headphones and ask them what headphones they think what you should get because they live and breath headphones over there. but some quick and easy recommendations would be audio technica m50 , Creative Aurvana Live! 2 , V-MODA Crossfade LP , Brainwavz HM5 , and Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro . if you have any questions feel free to ask.

New post with different needs:

  • Budget - Around $100, at most $150
  • Source - ASUS Xonar soundcard, smartphone, standard laptops.
  • Requirements for Isolation - Somewhat isolated, with the ability to hear outside noises.
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - Over ear with a large cup
  • Preferred tonal balance - Mainly balanced with some bass.
  • Past headphones - Monoprice 8323 with a v-moda microphone cable. Using it right now to watch the LAN show and comfort is a little bit on an issue.
  • Preferred Music: Gaming, Electronica, VOIP.

So my main concern is comfort. If these Monoprice cans sound good enough for me, most headphones should be fine. So comfort, overall looks (black/red/white main color scheme), and a removable standard cable for my mic to be compatible. So these are what I found that fit my budget/potential needs:

  1. V-MODA Crossfade LP. There are MANY positive reviews mainly about comfort and build quality, as well as good sound to match. A few people said to stay away from them, but for what reason really?

  2. Audio-Technica ATH-M40x. Again, people say to get other products but don't give specific reasons why. They seem to have everything I need and are reasonably priced.

I would want them to work on any device without needing an AMP or whatever. Thanks!

A friend got these, and in an attempt to try out a different pair of headphones, I paid for these (Though they were only 100 at the time.).

They were just as good, but too tight for me.

After some time I finally sold the VModas for basically the same exact price, and got myself some ATH-M50s in white.

As I said, the VModas were just as good sound quality wise, but these headphones are way more comfortable. I do miss my removable headphone cable though.

I am using my V-Moda CrossFade LP. The audio is terrific and people can hear me super clearly (even when i'm forced to speak very softly when I play at 1am because my brothers are asleep)
