I'm cool with battery types.. I've got some eneloops AAs and AAA too. The priority is 'I want this now' and 'I'm cheap and don't want to buy my kids expensive stuff they can break easily'. From videos online the Anker look pretty durable, even if the 18650 may rattle a bit in the tube.

The Sofirn SC31B looks a decent alternative to my dead Wowtac A1S though!
