You can get this. It's up to 50% more powerful in games.

It's an extra $20 for the RX470 which is an average of 25 fps ahead of the 1050ti, plus better DX12 support. And then an extra $20 for the RX480 which is an even bigger beast.

Cards I recommend for your price range:

GTX 1060: Same manufacturers, same price as the 8gb model above

So the choices are RX470 at around $170-180 or save up a little bit for the RX480 or 1060 @$230. If you do not choose to save for the 480/1060, go for the 470 as it's soo much better than the 1050ti

Between those two, I'd actually stick with an RX 470 unless the 3 RB GTX 1060 cost literally the exact same. If anything, I would go all the way up to the 6 GB GTX 1060 - that seems to be a different pricing tier, though. (There's an EVGA one at mindfactory for €267.)

I'd also avoid the RX 470 reference design (I believe the Sapphire RADEON RX 470 is one; the custom-cooled Sapphire card is called "Nitro") and go for an aftermarket-cooled version like this one.

Put a rx 470 in there and call it a day

Will it be as simple as plug and play?

That's on my amazon wishlist. What's the advantage/disadvantage between the two?

u/piechooser · 1 pointr/buildapc

Would that be something like this? These are comparable to 1060s, right?
