My Routine - Couldn't confirm for turbie twist and wet brush, but all the "have to re-buy" products are cruelty free and (I'm pretty sure, please correct if I'm wrong) CG Approved:

Co-wash with Love Beauty & Planet Lavender Conditioner specifically focusing on scalp-scrubbing and then rinse it all the way out. (I like rinsing it all out so I know how much I am using for the next part) Apply a handful more of the same conditioner with prayer hands, starting 3/4 of the way up and saving the roots for last.

Once it's crazy slippery I use my detangling wet brush til there aren't any knots left (I would spend my entire life on tangles if it weren't for this magical brush). Then I start the s2c process. I take little handfuls of water and scrunch them up, sometimes do a couple directly on the roots if they feel like I've still got too much product there. I usually leave some of the conditioner in to maintain the slip and that extra moisture because my hair is super dry. (still unsure if it's "best practices" to be doing that or not?) After that I put on a reusable shower cap and finish up the rest of my shower routine.

After shower I usually flip my head over and apply products upside down. I've been using the Blueberry Bliss Leave-In first, then OGX Curl Defining Cream second, and Blueberry Bliss Gel third. I apply all of them with prayer hands, then scrunch. Still determining if that's the best way to do it. Also still trying to come to a conclusion on the ideal amounts of each of those. Heh. Normally after products I would just go straight into a plop with a microfiber Turbie Twist for ~30mins... That was giving me a result like this

But this time I decided to try my diffuser. I bought this one at Target ages ago because I heard diffusing was good for curly hair, but back then, with no idea how to use it, I was yet again a frizzy mess. lol. Not this time though! I'd watched so many YouTube videos on how to use a diffuser I had to give it a whirl! I'm really happy with the results for the ends especially. I used the diffuser on cool til it was about 75% dry on top and the ends were all the way dry which is where I think I went wrong, and why the top looks kind of flat. But hey, now I know what to do differently next time. After everywhere was 100% dry I used the Love Beauty & Planet Lavender Oil to SOTC.

I appreciate any feedback or advice you amazing folks have to offer. Thanks for helping me get this far. I've been doing CG for a few weeks, I'll admit I often rock a pineapple all day which is prolly not ideal. I wore my hair in a braid for ~4 years because I didn't know what to do with it, so really anything is an improvement on that. Hehe. If I brushed it out when it was dry, it looked like this Hehe. So grateful for the Wiki here and all the lovely people who participate in this sub. <3

I added morninghead to Amazon . So I have some insight. It all depends on the product. For MH, people aren't searching for "Bed Head Cure" so I need to drive traffic. There are a bunch of awesome sites like http://thisiswhyimbroke.com that will add your amazon page if you have a cool product. So sites like them are great for a niche product/gadget. If you have a product that people are searching for... like "Torque Wrench" or "Measuring Cups" then I would assume it would all be able "Amazon SEO" and ratings. Prime also plays into it also. We use FBA and it's amazing. The only issue is that they take a minimum of $2 per order +15%. So for small ticket items (morninghead), it's not the most profitable. But there's nothing better than getting those emails just letting you know you made some cash while you slept. At morninghead.com, my wife and I fulfill all of the orders. If you're going to fulfill yourself, I would also recommend integrating with a 3rd party shipping solution like http://shipstation.com because then you can print the postage yourself (at a discount). Any more questions let me know.

I have a ton of hair and a huge noggin and I’ve figured out how to deal with both.

First, make sure you have the right size bonnet. I have 3 thanks to trial and error, but the one that works best for me has a thicker band and plenty of space for my hair.

Satin Sleeping Cap Salon Bonnet... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F1L2YNJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Second, try putting your bonnet on from the back. This is the video I watched to help me figure it all out (skip to 3:50 if you have longer hair).

Hope that helps!

Seconding the Xtava.

As for bonnets...I always get them at local beauty supply stores. Not sure if you have stores like that in Australia? Here they are usually geared toward certain ethnicity (black, Hispanic). The bonnets cost 2 - 5 dollars. They run small so you have to look for x-large or jumbo.

I'm pretty sure this is the one I use now. You can see in my history the general length of my hair. It fits all my hair and stays on okay. I always use the elastic band, rather than the wide band - wide band style always slips off too easily.

I also found this one which seems to be the same brand that I trust, and is a much larger size if that's an issue/concern.

My uncle has cows and in the winter, some of them give birth. Usually if a cow has twins, it will only accept one. One time he was checking up on his herd and he found that one of the cows had given birth to twins and rejected one, leaving it in the snow to fend for itself instead of taking it to the warm barn. My uncle managed to get it up on his shoulders (He's in his 70s) and carry it back to the barn and call the vet. He was able to feed it some warm milk and warm it up with some blankets. Once it was healthy enough to walk around, he was able to use another cow who was still milking as a surrogate for it since his mother wouldn't let him nurse. The little cow made it =) Falco peregrinus and either a gift card or a shower cap would be amazing =)

EDIT: Falco peregrinus (thanks!)

I originally ordered these but I found the band was super tight and left an indent in my hair line so I switched over to these. However these aren't tight enough and slip off sometimes. ha ha. I'll find the perfect one shortly but in the meantime I'm wearing the first or tighter one.

I went through your comment history for a while but I couldn't find anything for either bonus :(
u/UnderSomeRock · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

That was just an example! It doesn't happen to everyone so I hope I didn't scare you! At least you'll be aware of the cause if it does happen!

Youcan find them on Amazon and at your local beauty supply store! Satin is a cheaper alternative and works just as well!

The ones I have: scarf

Others: bonnet, pocket bonnet, silk lined cap

And there's a ton of videos on YouTube on how to tie them, I could send you a video if you need one! You can. There's a bunch of different techniques like pineappling, but you could also just tie it like a bandana and keep it simple!

u/Emnems · 3 pointsr/BeautyGuruChatter

This sounds ridiculous but Daiso (Japanese dollar store) has these ear caps that are to protect your ears while you dye your hair. They look like mini shower caps. I bet you could find some cheap on ebay or Amazon..

I don't like getting my hair wet every time I shower either. I used to just put in a ponytail, but then I started using a shower-cap so that the humidity in the shower wouldn't make my hair frizz.

Maybe buy her a fun shower cap, and then invite her to join you in the shower for some good times.

u/iownakeytar · 6 pointsr/AskWomen

Any beauty supply store should have them. I see them in most Walgreens, CVS, Walmarts and Targets. Amazon works too. Since you've got long, thick hair, you'll definitely want to go Jumbo.

u/unicornbomb · 5 pointsr/piercing

Im a stylist and keep a set of these on hand for clients who can’t get their ears wet. Seems like it would work well for you also. https://www.amazon.com/100Pcs-Disposable-Clear-Shower-Protector/dp/B00XBN0HA6

I have a bunch of those sport headbands that are super thick laying around. I have really curly hair as well (3b-3c) so on days it decides to come alive I stick it in a but for extra security. I also wear a bonnet sometimes if I really don't feel like dealing with it.

u/JadenCheshireCat · 4 pointsr/curlyhair

I have layered shoulder length hair, so many of my strands get loose when I pineapple and I don't tie the scrunchie too tight because that would put a kink into my waves.

I ordered a satin nightcap off of Amazon because I figured that would be cheaper than seven new silk pillowcases (acne prone skin, so I need to change mine daily) and it CHANGED EVERYTHING. Not only does it preserve my curls, but the humidity from my scalp gets trapped in the cap and absorbed into my curls, making them softer!

What I do is I flip my hair up side down, gather it in a scrunchie without twisting it, put my "pineapple" into the silk cap, flip right side up, and then carefully stuff any stands sticking out back in. The way you put it back in the cap matters because if you're not careful to "plop" the strand into the cap, it may come out wonky in the morning because of your weight when you sleep on it.

The only caveat to this method imo is that the cap gets rather hot and humid without AC in the summer (80F at nights where I live) so it might be a little harder for you to sleep. You also look frumpy and my boyfriend giggles everytime he sees it on, but the shed hair on our bed has significantly decreased. :P

Seriously though, this has made second day hair much more attainable for my 2B/2C hair!

This is the nightcap I use. It's pretty cheap, but after two months of use, the elastic has worn so it doesn't stay on as well as it used to. You probably would want to look into getting a better one if you can afford it.

Use a hair band that covers your hairline. Etude house has a cute one. I'll link it asap.

I'm on mobile so I hope it shows up well.

This headband will make my day because it's cute and I can wear it around the house.

u/Twilightmagic17 · 1 pointr/trichotillomania

I bought this cap https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ACF1QJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_bqxIxbYAG3H58 (it should stay on, at least I hope )

u/lizziejo82 · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

Maybe try something like this?

u/buttfluffvampire · 2 pointsr/curlyhair

My hair frizzes so easily overnight (any time at all), and pineappling didn't help; I just ended up with flat hair on top and frizzy, tangled ends. I got this cap to sleep in, because it doesn't look quite as stupid as a lot of other ones, lol.

It's been a big help! I can usually wear my hair down on day 2 now!

u/tc88 · 1 pointr/AskWomen

When I did, I wore a regular shower like this so I wouldn't wet my hair in the shower, the water will undo the work. I just washed my hair every few weeks like usual.

u/erixxi · 2 pointsr/curlyhair

I just clip my hair up with two big clips and then put it in a reusable shower cap like this one. I'm just wearing it in the shower, so I don't feel inclined to get anything more expensive.

u/KitSnicket18 · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

Looks like they do make a black one. It is currently out of stock in their Amazon store but the picture is still there. The one OP got looks legit and may have just been bought a while ago and resold now.

u/Noticemenot · 2 pointsr/pics

No thanks. I have Morninghead

u/sxzxnnx · 9 pointsr/Austin

I have some of these things. I needed a half dozen when I had an ear infection last year but I could only find a 100-pack. I am out of town at the moment and will be driving in all day on Sunday. If you want them and can wait until midnight or so on Sunday, they are yours. https://www.amazon.com/100Pcs-Disposable-Clear-Shower-Protector/dp/B00XBN0HA6

u/kimbrasplice · 1 pointr/piercing

Could use this but still be mindful it can still get bits of water in it.

u/MoonkeyPirate · 2 pointsr/Hair

If you can't find anything, there's this shower cap-esque thing that wets your hair in the morning without having to spray it down or soak your head. I haven't tried it but apparently you just fill it with water and put it on your head and massage it and it gets your hair wet. A few reviews say it doesn't do anything but the majority of the other ones say it works. I wake up with crazy hair in the morning too but I just take a shower.
