(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best skin care sets & kits

I love myself because my in progress art is becoming an Esthetician. I recently competed in a competition where i got to make over a model and have her go down the run way, it was a lot of fun! Skin care is my passion and this would really help with better skin for me and my clients! :3

It looks like it has a lot of great reviews, so that's good. We'll do some more research together. I wound up getting this to try as well as some Cetaphil moisturizer, so we'll see. Also, if you have questions, /u/SpecialJNess is really great at helping. She directed me to some things as well ♥

I'd add in a toner/essence. Like the EVENPRIME mist (will help reduce pore size and soothe redness post shaving / gym sessions). Nice easy-to-carry hydrator post-workout.

$6 moisturizer kind of scares me, but if you want a good deal and slightly better formulas, I'd opt for the EP cleanser + moisturizer set. Cleanser is pH-balanced like the CosRx one, and the moisturizer has better antioxidant ingredients (plus it was designed by one of Korea's leading female chemists).

Otherwise, I'd opt for CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and Cetaphil Daily Face Moisturizer (I don't know if I trust Garnier's formulations). They're owned by L'Oreal which is pretty dodgy.

Since she's interested in the Moistfull Collagen Cream maybe you could get her another product from that line? I saw this kit on Amazon. Also, I recently bought an etude house brow pencil that I really like if you think you could match her brow shade. Also you could do some small items like a cute eyeshadow palette or hand creams or something like that as well!

Alternately, if you want to give your older/less-used palettes some love, you could do one of those makeup basket challenges for a week and rotate the palettes that way (e.g. use a basket/bowl/whatever and put in the products you want to use, and only use products from that basket for an entire week) - I've seen people doing this on instagram and it seems like a great idea!

I use the Eminence Organics Eight Greens products for my hormonal acne and I think they’re incredible. Highly recommend. They smell kinda weird tbh but...worth it. This one is the best value bc you get the full size serum and then travel sizes of all the other products I’d suggest for a hormonal skin type. Fun contest! I wanted something vintagey so this is the pattern I chose and this is the yarn I chose (I know nothing about yarn so I don't know if it's good!) and for the colour, I'd pick Lemon Yellow, to match the original pattern :) And finally, this is my wishlist item under $15 including shipping :) Yarnasaurus Rex!! ;)

I use rose quartz roller twice a day! what you experiencing is from both but, facial roller really help to improve the absorption of product. When I use at night it really helped to remove my under eye puffiness. Quick tip: I roll over the rose quartz roller over facial mask. It really helped me to hydrate and smooth out my skin. Oh, I use Sanleevo rose roller. I have used few other brands and all broke or had squeaky noise. This one by far the best!

That looks great!! I'll definitely scrounge up whatever I have left of the stuff she gave me and ask my friend if she has anymore. Now I really want to try their CC cream! This set is similar to what I have, and that waterfall emulsion stuff smells ohhhh so good.

This is the one I got and I personally think the build quality and feel is up there as far as rollers that I've seen go. As far as if it works. I originally got it to massage my jaw because I'm stressed alot and tense my jaws too much but it works nice to get rid of puffiness under my eyes and that pale look first thing in the morning as well. As for sucking energy I highly doubt that haha. My favorite super soothing moisturizer is Loreal Age Perfect Golden Balm. It's suuuuuuper thick and leaves a bit of a film on my skin, which I personally like. It's not talked about much in this sub and may not agree with everyone, but my skin drinks this up, particularly when it's very red, flakey and painful.

You may also want to consider adding Aquaphor or an oil as the last step over your skincare before you go to bed. This, combined with a humidifier in my room, has really helped my skin from losing all of its moisture overnight, which has been an ongoing issue for me.

I still use the Loreal under makeup - it provides a great base. BUt as something lighter, I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost for dry skin.

They are the smallest size/safest needles (.25mm) , you can get longer ones - and I have a different one that has .5mm but my mom got it for me and I have no idea what brand it is. I’ve seen great results on deeper scars just using this one and a really good vitamin-c/collagen serum though!

Wow thanks for this! Yeah I've stopped using the strips. I will definitely get some of these products today. How do I tell if something is a "light" moisturizer? I currently have this is this an acceptable substitute?

I keep both Bioderma and Garnier around (pink caps), but I have to admit, I think I like the MUCH cheaper Garnier even more. Here's the travel sized version, if you want to test it out.

I bought theseand they're pretty much perfect. I was able to fit 2 sample baggies of Shiro's Smashing Pots in one with no problem.

I used this, and it worked pretty well for me.

Does anybody have any opinions on Whamsia?

If you're going to pop them you might want to get an extractor kit with different tools for pimples and blackheads so that you're not squeezing them and causing unnecessary damage and scarring. Something like this, although the screw in ends on this type tend to not stay tight, but they sell kits that aren't the screw kind.
