I'll fix the cables again later. I just had my lower wisdom teeth pulled and I feel like complete ass.

The unit is mounted to the wall, so my only option would be taping/clipping to the bottom of the unit. Here is the TV stand if interested. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G36GU1W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I have 2 surge protectors, 6 console power cables, and 1 TV power cable in the hidden compartment behind the games. The 2 cables that you see coming out of the bottom of the unit are the surge protector cables to the outlet.

Is the fan on the side? Ive got this shelf I put my projector on: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012OVJOQI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00

Thinking maybe you can put something like this up high on your wall and then place the projector upside down on it with using rubber furniture feet on the 4 corners? Might be a dumb idea lol but figured I would suggest it just in case

Edit: Didn't see you can't drill into your wall sorry

IF you have room on the wall behind your desk..... I use a floating TV stand, it has channels built into the back for wiring and power. This is the one I have:

Maybe you can look up a small independent shelving unit that can sit on the floor so they're not stacked on top of each other but still is compact.

On a very quick search there is the following. They may not work for you specifically but could give you an idea...

Yeah, I don't really like the clutter on top of the kallax. My plan is to actually go for a Salamander Synergy cabinet but as were looking at buying a house in the near term we're hesitant on big furniture purchases before knowing what the style and color scheme of a room will be.

An equipment rack would take up less space than your current wood cabinet. It won't look as pretty though, and you'll have to figure out where to put the wood cabinet.

Here are some examples of equipment racks:

Turntable goes on the top, rest of components on the lower racks.

That should be the one, I've had my figures up on them for a few months now with no problems.
