I don't have a Husky but I have Samoyeds which are from the same family of breeds.
Keeping the nails trimmed is very important, you can either use a doggy nail clipper or a pet dremel. I prefer the latter because there is pretty much no way I could hurt their quick with it whereas with a nail clipper I've done it on a couple of occasions :/
