Apostrophe / Over-Nite Sensation. Those are two albums (often sold as one) that were recorded in the same sessions. Over-nite hit #32 on Billboard Pop Charts in 1973, and Apostrophe hit #10 in 1974. They're his best-selling albums, and for good reason: accessible rock beats, strong guitar solos, and... I dunno. They're definitely awesome, I say this as a >20-year fan.
And it's a safe bet that if you don't hear a single thing on there that you like, the chances are you good you can turn around and move on to something else! :) So at the very least, it'll be an efficient way to figure out if you don't like his music.
Perhaps that's an interesting question to discuss: if someone hated Apostrophe/Over-nite, what album(s) would you recommend they try instead?
I asked because Vapor Trails is the only one I haven't been able to acquire, but I've honestly never looked online. It's one of my favorite albums but it's so compressed and digital, the vinyl is worthless.
EDIT: They go for a pretty penny http://www.amazon.com/Vapor-Trails-Rush/dp/B001BZBLQA

|name|The Hair & Skin Trading Company|
|about artist|The Hair & Skin Trading Company were a British experimental rock group formed in 1991 by ex-Loop members Neil Mackay (vocals/bass) and John Wills (now Pumajaw) (drums). Joined by ex-Savage Opera guitarist Nigel Webb, they released their debut album "Jo in Nine G Hell" on Beggar's Banquet in 1992. Their early work mixes fairly generic early-'90s alternative rock with strong influences from post-punk and the work of Swiss industrial rockers The Young Gods. You've got a fun ride ahead of you.
My favorites...
Also, you may find online various dvds of his live performances, which are somewhere between a concert and a better-than-average stand up comedy routine.
Weird, I bought this at Best Buy for $12 several months ago and now it's apparently selling for much more.
Well, I searched on Amazon and found Rick Wakeman's No Earthly Connection
Hey, its available and only $147.77!
There was this release, VHS and CD, from long ago but I'm not aware of a newer release. It's going for $100-$150 so hopefully it will see a rerelease at some point. I bought it when it came out but I don't even have a VCR anymore to check it out.
How can you tell if it is the jewelcase version?
I mean you could buy this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Afterman-Ascension-Coheed-Cambria/dp/B00965MP76/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1374164283&sr=8-2&keywords=afterman+ascension
but who knows if its the real thing.
