It's a business line reseller like Teltik. Teltik offers the same ONE plan but for $3.50 more.

You have access to post paid benefits like T-mobile Tuesday.

There is nothing that can backfire on you. It's prepaid billing. If you don't like it, simply port out like any other carrier.

The sims are available on Amazon for $10 here.

Good luck.

Hej!

Fellow dane here, and I've looked into this exact same issue as I'm taking 3 weeks vacation in the US in June.

Personally I'm going to go with the $30 plan (100 minute, 5 GB, unlimited sms/mms).

You need an unactivated sim with activation code, but those can be found on amazon, I bought mine from advance mobile corporation, though I havn't tried it yet - but they do ship to Denmark.

Now my Galaxy Nexus seems to support AWS, so I don't have this concern, however if you are still concerned you could always buy a Mobile hotspot, personally I'm borrowing one from a friend and they work great (I use one regularly here in denmark), basicly it's a small pocket sized gsm modem and wifi router with a battery. This means you can use your tablets, phones and laptops off one connection. The friend I'm borrowing mine from just popped into a T-Mobile store and bought one, so that should work (AT&T wouldn't sell him one without a contract).

I've also set up call forwarding via voip for my danish number so I don't have to pay the crazy roaming prices our mobile providers charge us, let me know if you want to know more about this :-).

If you're in the UK I recommend this. I have a 3 blackberry and it works. However they do not give you £5 credit. They give you something like £4.60. So I make two £2 purchases. Still worth it. Next month I will be buying like 10 of these for sure. It's really easy just put the card in your phone. Go on lolclient purchase rp with mobile, by giving them your phone number, then reply to their text message with a "Y".

FP site not giving plan advertised on activation.

i saw the links to those two locations for $35.

There are several sellers on Amazon with the same AIS product, but I was planning on buying from GAC as they are known to be fairly reputable and the reviews are good (the packaging looks different but it's clearly a repackaged sim2fly.) They also sell a 2-pack on Amazon for $33. There's more info in that Flyertalk thread, but basically it's a Thai carrier and they sell an international SIM card allows roaming in many Asian countries. Based on reviews, it sounds like the AIS SIM connects to either Softbank or NTT Docomo depending on where you are.

I have no connection whatsoever to this company and gain nothing from posting the link above.

I have used this service in Cuba in the 3G Internet works pretty well in cities but not so well in the countryside. The $25 for 100 MB and their $100 for 500 MB are currently the best deals you can get for mobile Internet in Cuba. Your phone must be unlocked in order for the SIM card to work.

However the data does go very quickly so I had to ensure that I kept all of the data services turned off on my phone except for when I needed to use it. I burned through 100 MB in four days using mostly WhatsApp for texts, a couple of short FaceTime audio only calls, and some very brief web browsing.

If you're going to use your phone to navigate I suggest you download an offline map or download sections of Google Maps so that you can use those without consuming any data. I was able to download (while in the US) all of Havana to my Google Maps and was able to get driving directions without using any data whatsoever.

Most cost effective is to buy a sim locally. You can also order global SIM cards like one sim on Amazon. It will definitely cost more and I threw away a decent amount of money with it, but it works as advertised and can work in a pinch.

Edit: http://www.amazon.com/OneSimCard-Plus-International-one-Compatible/dp/B002ZJ5EDC

Free one day shipping if you have prime.

That's what I used. I lost money on it because I put too much credit on it which eventually expired. If you're careful with that its not too bad an option.

**Shameless plug** Check out Hologram.io for access to all 4G networks in the states through one SIM card (and hundreds more internationally). Available through Amazon Prime

Also, might want to check out the Hologram Nova USB modem we partnered with Raspberry Pi Foundation to launch. I've written a number of tutorials on the subject of cellular backhaul with Hologram. Happy to help if you implement one of your own. :)

Orange Holiday. I used it when I went to Europe in September and it was great. Orange Holiday Europe New Package - 20GB Internet Data in 4G/LTE + 120 mn + 1000 Texts in 30 Countries in Europe https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RXYH2NW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zHY3DbZT27GVV

any recommended ones to buy on Amazon?
is this one too good to be true? 2GB for 30 days only $25??

After the factory reset the sim was recognized for calls and SMS but no data. It took me a few minutes to realize there was no LTE data because I had WiFi on. I entered the APN values, saved, selected it and the LTE data came to life. Rebooted a few times just to make sure it stuck.

The GSM sim doesn't need to be active. I picked up a few H20 sims on Amazon for .01¢. You may want to get one for future use just in case.

u/TechLifeYT · 2 pointsr/mildlyinfuriating

LIFE HACK: I just discovered that you can actually just buy a SIM card for £0.01 to get free delivery. Even if you never use it, that's all you need to save you like £5 in delivery costs. My life will never be the same again.

u/peejay2 · 2 pointsr/travelchina

Hi,

Is it wiser to get this:

https://www.amazon.it/China-Unicomm-Taiwan-Prepaid-Ridotto/dp/B07DB8CZ9N

Or the SIM card at Beijing airport?

The one at Beijing seems much better value, but can I access Google/Facebook etc. with that?

Thanks a lot! Bit confused...

u/Dennygreen · 2 pointsr/CricketWireless

They used to, but it seems like they switched over to only the adapters now.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O6GKIYC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought one from there like a year ago, and it worked fine.

u/castlec · 7 pointsr/NoContract

She's going to make friends so she's going to want a local number. That's not to say that there aren't options like WhatsApp, but it'll make life easier for whatever official things she may need to do with a local number.

For yourself, I've picked up sim cards from Amazon for European travel. Stupid cheap for gigs of data from 3UK, with international roaming for pretty much all of Europe. I'll go find the link and edit my post.

Link to 12gb 300 minutes currently $28

Link to 1gb 'Tablet' for $13

There was a point a time when T-Mobile let you walk into any
T-Mobile store, risk-free, and they would let you try their network out (with unlimited data, calls, and texts) with an iPhone 5s for 7 days. Back then, I was already a T-Mobile customer and it was just a nice way for me to toy with an iPhone for a week. :)

Take a look:
https://web.archive.org/web/20140626015356/http://explore.t-mobile.com/test-drive-free-trial?icid=WMM_TM_RVR_STKIIK1HFV364

I wish they'd bring this back with maybe a cheap Android or another iPhone to test out their new coverage areas with Band 12.

I would tell you to just buy a sim on Amazon and run speedtests, but that doesn't work anymore, as Speedtest isn't whitelisted any longer.

The absolutely last way that you could get a "taste" of T-Mobile's native network was the free data for life with the tablet offer (you could always swap the sim into a phone to test once you activated it on an iPad or something), but they literally killed that like 10 days ago. :( It was a such a great way to do network testing with people unsure about T-Mobile service for all these years...sigh.

There's no "free" option anymore. Cheapest way now would probably find someone with an LTE tablet (hint: Apple Store :) and activate a sim https://www.amazon.com/T-Mobile-Micro-iPhone-Galaxy-Note/dp/B00HQ2DTCG and get a $5 day pass.

It's kind of counter-intuitive, but the best plan is actually a US plan that roams in Canada. For example, https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07RHRLZJL/ and https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07TB7R6FB/

If you do a quick Amazon search you'll find a couple of others that do allow hotspot. A little more expensive than the earlier one, check whether it makes sense.

One from O2 UK (looks like they're copying Three UK); $39.88

https://www.amazon.com/Hotspot-Tethering-Minutes-Texts-Europe/dp/B07JJMF8R7/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=three+uk+sim&qid=1569556751&sr=8-18

ANother from Three UK - this says 12 months and allows hotspot, $43.91

https://www.amazon.com/Europe-Countries-Registration-Needed-Roaming/dp/B01CMD4VKC/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=three+uk+sim+hotspot&qid=1569557010&sr=8-2

You can buy pay as you go simcards for literally a penny with free delivery.

You could create new accounts with only the extra effort of waiting for the simcards to arrive at next to no cost.

u/bipbob · 1 pointr/Axon7

Would it work if I used a $.01 sim off of Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B013OUS19E/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1486619420&sr=8-9&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=gsm+sim+card is the link. Then all I do is put it in. Restart my phone till I get signal. Then while still on replace the sim with my Verizon one. And repeat if necessary?

u/HomelessJack · 6 pointsr/NoContract

Is this instore or online only??

Edit

https://www.amazon.com/FreedomPop-Less-month-12-Month-Prepaid/dp/B0792D3LLZ

Amazon has it for $40

u/n0t_your_username · 3 pointsr/askTO

I go to the US semi-often about every month or two sometimes more.

I use a T-Mobile pay as you go plan on a US sim card. It's $3/month to maintain which includes a mix of total 30 texts or 30 mins talk time within anywhere in the US.

When I need data I pay $10 for 1 GB for 7 days or $5 for 500MB for 24 hours. If you hit the limit, they don't cut you off, it just goes down to 2G speed which is mostly fine except for streaming.

This is what you need to buy to do this: https://www.amazon.ca/T-Mobile-Sim-Card-Prepaid-Kit/dp/B003X7RY06

u/obou · 2 pointsr/japanlife

I bought this last time:

3 PAYG 4G Trio Data SIM Pack Preloaded with 12GB of Data

Get a simcard without sending it back, but you need to find someone to receive it. You'll need a simfree phone tough. Mobile hotspot should work
