(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best cigar cutters

I have to say I wasn't planning on buying expensive accessories but I recently bought and received this Brizzard and Co cutter.

I regretted spending this much as it was shipped but I have to say I just received it and it is IMPECCABLE.

Its absolutely gorgeous. Feels fantastic in the hand and the action of the cut is so, so, smooth.... It really is beautiful.

If you feel like treating yourself I would highly recommend.

For a lighter I bought a pretty simple Xicar for about $60 which I've been happy with as well.

I bought this Cuban Crafters Perfect Cut cutter recently and I love it. Well made, good weight to it, super sharp, and has a lifetime warranty.

I'm also gonna jump on the Xikar train and recommend my go-to cutter, the VX. My first quality cigar cutter was a Xikar X8, but after trying the VX at my local cigar lounge, I had to have one. I appreciate how a V-cut keeps more of the cap on the cigar, and I prefer the way it feels to smoke a V-cut cigar over a straight-cut one. Also, the foolproof design and the fact that it doubles as a cigar holder are major bonuses.

Its not wood but it looks similar. The cigar doesnt pass straught through but it would be good for just slicing the tip

I have this Colibri in black/gold and its been flawless. Excellent chioce. No experience with the Xikar V cut, though

Xikar's v cutter comes with the same lifetime warranty and doubles as a cigar rest. It's excellent.

I've been using a regular, 2-sided cutter for a while now. This one actually: LINK.

I've been a bit hesitant to try to the V-cuts since I'm still new to cigars as a whole. Any chance you could explain how it helps the smoking process?

Decent lighter no, just a regular butane lighter from the local supermarket will do.

If you don't like that chances are cigars aren't for you. I would probably go to your local tobacconist rather than top25, if all you want to do is try one. top25 would be good if you want to buy a selection after your first.
