Hi there! Firstly, congratulations on your first contest! That's awesome! =D You're definitely getting some brownie points in my book because your contest is for books! I love reading so book contests are always my favorite. =)

If I win, I'd reeeeeally love A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny. It is the second book in the Chief Inspector Gamache mystery series. I read the first one a while back, and I immediately took a liking to the series. Mysteries are my absolute favorite books, but I'm weird and picky about them.

Anyway, this one looks really good, and if it's anything like the first one, it will be! Thank you so much for this contest, and again, congrats! =)

Today is World Animal Day, so your contest is perfectly timed :) hugarabbitday

  1. Oh geez, I've been bringing animals home since the day I could walk. More recently though I've been volunteering at an exotic bird rescue as well as fostering cats and kittens. I'm sure most people are sick to death of hearing about my fosters! And Cinna (who was a foster until my rescue group told me to put him to sleep because they refused to pay for a surgery he needed. My husband and I paid so he's mine now!). But hey, cats are my life and without them I'd have nothing to talk about. I also practice TNR in my neighborhood. So far I've spayed/neutered 6 feral cats. I've got 4 left in the colony that need to be fixed. Cats are smart, so catching them can be a real challenge!

  2. It's hard to pick a favorite vegan food. I've been a vegetarian for more than 10 years, was a vegan for two. I really love shredded brussels sprouts with apples and walnuts (got the recipe from the Color Me Vegan cookbook). Potato tacos are good, too. Or the vegan mochi from Trader Joe's. Yum!

  3. Would an ebook work? A cat (Koko) is one of the main characters :) I'd list something from my pet food list, but cats are carnivores and definitely not vegans.

    Thanks for the contest!

Yeah, if it was free to play I'd push a lot harder for people to try it, but I can understand not wanting to plop down thirty bucks for a game you're not sure you'd want.

However, I really love modern day/supernatural settings. Some of my favorite book series are The Nightside books by Simon R. Green, The Hollows series by Kim Harrison (especially so because I actually live near Cincinnati, which is where the books take place), The Hellboy graphic novel series, and so on.

So yeah, a game with a modern day setting where I get to spend hours fighting zombies, insane cultists, bloodthirsty vampires, and elder gods? Sign me up! :D

Feel free to check it out, it's up for pre-order now. If you want a free copy, I'd be happy to send it to you if you're willing to give it an honest review. PM me and I can get that off to ya one I get these street names sorted out. That goes for anyone that wants a free copy.

As for Madison: I wanted to pick somewhere that was far from me, woodsy, but still very rural in the 1800's when it would have been settled. Madison seemed like a happening place so I picked it, only I should have asked these questions a long time ago. I'm putting finishing polish on it right now and I realized that I had my protagonists house on Oak and First Street and never bothered looking up where those were. Imagine my disappointment when I realize those two don't converge. So that led me spending a couple hours on maps till I figured I should just ask people who know it better than me!

Have you ever read Terri Reid? I really really love this series!! Paranormal/Romance. Ann Charles' Deadwood series is REALLY good, too!!
