40. PMD Sports CR5 Professional Creatine Complex - Fast Recovery, Reduce Soreness, Lean Muscle Mass Gainer - Better Than Creatine Monohydrate Powder - Perfect for Your Home Gym Workouts (240 Capsules)

    Features:
  • Optimum Strength: CR5 offers an unmatched super-charged formula that features Magnesium Creatine Chelate, Creatine Citrate, Creatine Alpha-Ketoglutarate, Creatine Pyruvate, and Dicreatine Malate. These powerful ingredients support increases in muscle strength and lean muscle mass. Train harder and longer.
  • Enhanced Endurance: Betaine Anhydrous was included in the CR5 formula to support and enhance endurance. Betaine Anhydrous is a compound derived from the amino acid choline and is naturally-occurring in plant species. This compound has a multitude of benefits for performance, including: increased power output, increased capacity to perform anaerobic work, increased energy levels, and promotes cellular hydration.
  • Maximum Recovery: The benefits of using this formulated creatine results in an ideal setting for restoring your body’s energy stores and enhancing quicker muscle recovery post-workout. Reduce muscle damage during your physical conditioning program and accelerate energy to keep your response levels high and body in a prime state. All elements for a high voltage workout.
  • Energy Boost: The Dicreatine Malate found in CR5 is a highly soluble creatine salt, and it provides a greater increase in creatine bioavailability over regular creatine monohydrate. The dicreatine malate binds to malic acid, which offers greater ATP production and thus more energy. The increased energy allows you to get the most from a workout. Boost your natural energy for a greater, more intense workout.
  • Build Lean Muscle: Creatine and magnesium both play roles in part of the process that creates ATP in the body. Supplementing creatine increases the amount of creatine in muscles that are available for the ATP process. Magnesium acts to catalyze this reaction. Also, by binding creatine to magnesium, it is less susceptible to breakdown in the stomach to creatinine, leaving more creatine for uptake into the body.

For losing weight I'd suggest Animal Cuts I've lost a crazy amount of weight using them, while maintaining muscle mass. Some people will likely disagree with me but that's my ten pence and my source is personal experience.

[EDIT] These sups can feel very intimidating but you will quickly adjust.

Creatine is wank. You will manage a rep or two more but for the most part its superficial gains that will vanish when you stop lifting. Granted whatever you do gain from the extra reps, you will keep but its simply not worth it. Again my suggestion is my suggestion but I'd recommend a pre workout mix laced with amino acids. I would point you in the direction but I'm using C4 and I wouldn't recommend it if your very overweight as it could raise your heart rate to dangerous levels. Something from ON nutrition like This.

Don't be too concerned about keeping up as its all individual in crossfit and your personal best is YOUR personal best. Just give it your all until you can give any more.

You'd be surprised how fast weight loss happens initially. It kinda sneaks up on you, other people will likely notice before you. Plus you will start to feel better in general! But everybody is different, give it 2 months and there will be a noticeable difference. Just remember your diet and you will make real progress.

[EDIT] The mirror is your enemy! Don't believe what it might tell you... Unless you look beast!

Your perception of yourself/your changes will always be off. A real response comes from others who don't see you naked everyday.

[EDIT] Take really unflattering pictures prior!! I couldn't recommend this more! Seriously when your feeling like your not progressing look at them and feel humbled by the progress you've made.

Here's what I'm doing right now and it's keeping my weight steady with positive muscle gains after only 3 weeks of P90X (I've got some fat and am trying to burn it without losing weight):

Syntha 6 (slower digesting protein)

  • 1 scoop 3 times a day

    Protein isolate

  • 1 scoop (around 20g protein) with breakfast
  • 1 scoop 30 minutes before workout
  • 1 scoop right after workout

Creatine Ethyl Ester (no loading time for ethyl ester)

  • 30 minutes before workout
  • right after workout

Force Factor (nitric oxide, I got myself a trial bottle)

  • 30 minutes before workout

    Water

  • Drinks lots of water throughout the day

Along with my normal protein-based diet (dairy, meat, eggs, fish, beans), this takes my protein intake to 225g-300g per day. I think 300g would get you around the point of bulking up

Also, for all the weight lifting exercises, I choose a heavy enough weight to where I can't do more than 10 reps. If you're doing more than ten then get more weight. Try modifying the high-rep weight routines in the video to ones that are 8-10 reps.

By the way, I'm just a normal dude, not an expert. I'm curious to see what your results are and I might borrow your routine when I'm done with P90X because I prefer working out at home myself. Good luck!

What are people's views on supplements? I've researched a bit but have seen very mixed opinions. I'm looking to buy: (Money not an issue, but do care about effectiveness)

Creatine Pills

BCAA Caps

Glutamine Caps

Currently only using whey protein, all feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/P90X

This is the bare minimum for what I need when I do p90x.

  • 10 lb dumbbell
  • 20 lb dumbbell
  • 30 lb dumbbell

Over time, you can collect more and more. I now have dumbbells ranging from 5-40lbs, but I think I need to get some 50 or 60 lbs as well.

  • pull-up bar.

As for supplements, these are what I use.

Protein: Helps with recovery and building muscle.

Creatine: Generally helps with endurance/energy during exercises. I found when I began including this in my supplementation, I could usually do a few more reps, which really helps you with muscular hypotrophy, which helps you wear out your muscles more in a workout, so they breakdown and rebuild.

I also use BCAA and a fish oil supplement, but this is a good starting point.

here are my favorite work outs and creatine powders:

for a creatine: i like this one http://www.amazon.com/Beast-Sports-Nutrition-Creature-Creatine/dp/B0051ZH17E/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451881087&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=beast+breatine

It tastes good, and its one of the highest rated creatine powders on bodybuilding.com

For pre workouts ive notived my best lifts would be with jym Pre jym, and evolution http://www.amazon.com/Evlution-Nutrition-Build-Supplement-Watermelon/dp/B00F2NVMMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451881181&sr=8-1&keywords=evolution+pre+workout

I cant remember about the evolution, but jym pre has a small amount of creatine in it.

Also, if youre having trouble meeting your calorie count, i would say dont go with another shake, just find new foods to eat that will boost it. In the morning pancakes, certain cereals, oats, and peanut butter are awesome ideas

Hey. I started lifting weights about a year ago. Feeling like I've plateaued lately and am thinking of adding supplements. Right now all I take is Whey Protein after each workout. Was looking into other supplements and was thinking of adding Creatine and possibly BCAA for preworkout. And Casein Protein for before bed. Would this be a good regimen for gaining muscle? Are there anythings I should worry about when it comes to these supplements? The research I have done makes it seem that these are all pretty safe. Any and all advice is welcomed. Thanks.

At the moment I have the ON stuff, but its really expensive. $27 a pot (has 20% off at the moment), and only 28 servings at 5g each. So in a few weeks it'll be gone.

I've had better deals with Alpha Aminos and BCAA's combined. Those usually come out at a better price when you can find them on sale like this old deal

u/DrDeath666 · 2 pointsr/Fitness

Well first, I do shoulders on their own day. One thing I changed was I started doing incline DB first then flat BB. Good way to change shit up. And besides those 2 major lifts, I do your normal stuff: incline cable fly, decline cable fly, bodyweight and weighted/machine dips. Another thing is that I always go to failure on the last 1 or 2 sets and having a great gym partner is key for that. I don't think I would be wear I am today if my partner wasn't helping me force out that last rep. I remember Arnold saying something like, the only rep that counts is the last one, that's the only one building muscle. Never leave a rep in the tank on your last set.

Also I started taking Kre-Alkalyn. I don't think its a miracle creatine but its worth trying out. The smaller bottle is only 14$ with free shipping with prime. My friend recommended it to me about 2 months ago.

Hey dude, I replied with my workout plan in a different comment here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0088XS44K?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2

But if you’re trying to work a certain set of muscles, I’d recomend working on that 2-3 times a week. Maybe even throw some bicep workouts in with your back day, or triceps with your chest day. Go check out some youtube videos or the other workouts on the site I linked in the other comment. You want to find some basic exercises that you feel comfortable with. Then keep the weight to a minimum/moderate weight. There’s no reason to go heavy for every lift. You want to focus on having proper form, getting the proper contractions on the muscles, and keeping the intensity high. Good luck!

I just went through my first tubs of Altius and Powerbuild by Jacked Factory. This was my first pre-workout set, so YMMV, but this stuff worked really well for me. From what I've heard about C4, it gets you really pumped but then you crash. Altius brought me up, but what made the difference is I just stayed there. I go through my whole workout without that crash. They also are very clear with what ingredients go into the product and there's no "proprietary blend" garbage in there either. Just tested ingredients.

It's definitely cheaper to go the "bulk supplements" option and buy the ingredients individually, but I liked the Jacked Factory products and will buy them again.

I’m already on their mass gainer so hopefully their creatine is just as good!

I've had good luck with CBH, probably the cheapest 600g container I've found and quality is standard. link

u/wigbuns · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

I just started about two weeks ago! I've been lifting on and off for a 2+ years and my SO takes it so I thought I might give it a try. This is a [great video] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9eCtOFIf40) if you want to know more about it. Such as no need to load... Also, since I just started taking it I can't really say if I've noticed much of a change so far... but hopefully I will! And this is the one that we [buy.] (https://www.amazon.com/Integrated-Supplements-Creapure-Creatine-servings/dp/B0021Y15HA/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1483240704&sr=8-1&keywords=creatine+monohydrate+powder+integrated+supplements)

So I just bought this at GNC. The bottle says to take 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. I've never taken creatine and I can't find anything consistent on Google about this stuff. Should I be taking 8 pills a day for this?

I know the general rule is 5 grams of creatine, I just wanted to confirm. Thanks

u/GrandFappy · -1 pointsr/Fitness

Creapure Creatine, not quite sure the blend, im pretty sure its monohydrate, but heres the link to where i bought it.

I'd substitute the ON Creatine with this one..
http://www.amazon.com/Integrated-Supplements-Creapure-Creatine-servings/dp/B0021Y15HA/

1000g for $35..or atleast buy more of the ON because you save more when you buy it in more bulk, lol

Also fuck Kirkland, I would never trust their fish oil, hell, just fucking eat fish, excess fish oil has been shown to cause adverse effects anyways. Food is best source of protein powder, and if you go that route why even bother getting beta alanine powder.
