Most of my products are under $10... but here's what I can think of off the top of my head:

  1. Rimmel Fix and Perfect PRO primer. I did trial a few different face primers, this one was definitely the winner.

  2. EcoTools angled eyeliner brush. I love how nicely it lets me make thin or thick lines and cat eyes are fantastically easy with this one. Also, eco friendly and all that jazz.

  3. Maybelline Color tattoo cream shadows. So far my favorites in these are Barely Branded and Inked in Pink.

  4. Flower superfine face powder. All right, so it's $10.98, so sue me. But it is lovely and matte and feels very nice on.

  5. e.l.f. gel eyeliner. A recent buy, but really stayed in place lovely-ly all day and went on nicely as well. Also, cheap as fuck.

  6. Covergirl Outlast Lipstain ($6) I really like this as a colored 'base' to layer tinted glosses over the top. Also it lasts through a work day, which for me usually includes snacks and sometimes ice cream.

  7. Milani baked eyeshadow, pretty and interesting to look at, and works nicely wet or dry.

  8. Lipstick I made myself ^.^ It cost maybe $25 to make six of them, with supplies left over to make another dozen batches. Also, delicious.

  9. Covergirl Clump Crusher, which does work nicely for me, just not terribly volumizing. But it's not clumpy, I'll give it that.

  10. e.l.f. Summer palette, lots of bright colors to play with!

i know i wont be the only person to recommend CG Clump crusher mascara. It does marvelous things.

i cant imagine being without my brushes, but especially my angle brush. i like this much better than the angle brushes that tend to come with cream/gel eyeliners...much more control. its my favorite brush!
lastly, just bitten balm stain is wonderful. great color but easier than lipstick, not sticky like gloss, and lasts for hours. love love love!

happy birthday, and i hope you find some great new things to love from everyones suggestions!

How and when/particular tutorials:
I have experimented a lot with eyeliner throughout my life and tried just about every product type and line shape/thickness/placement I could manage on my eyes. I don't have hooded eyes, but I don't have very much visible lid space with my eyes open, and my eyes downturn slightly at the outer corners. so, over time I figured out that the best thing to do was tightline starting from about the center of my lid gradually thickening the line toward the outer corner. this video happens to describe my method very well. I find that this maximizes lid space and opens and lifts my eyes most effectively.

Which eyeliner do you use? Do you use more than one type? Do you layer different kinds?/Which supplementary products and tools do you use, and how do you use them?:
one thing that has never, ever changed for me over the years is I never go in with liquid eyeliner first thing. I always draw the bulk of my line using a pencil and then sharpen the edges and form the wing (if any) using liquid or gel and a very thin angled brush. then I set the line with black eyeshadow using that same thin angled brush. I basically map out the shape first using the more forgiving product, then go over it with the one that requires a steadier hand. using this method I never end up with crooked or uneven lines.

Which eyeliners have the best formulas for the looks you wear?
I am a budget bitch. I like to use pencil eyeliners by NYX and a liquid eyeliner by Kate, an Asian drugstore brand. I find Asian brands supply you with a much thinner liquid eyeliner brush, since the majority of us are working with less lid space. I like to use a brush by Japonesque for potted gel eyeliners.

try light brown eyeliner!!
I would also like to take this opportunity to plug light brown eyeliners, and by light brown I mean something that is just a shade darker than your skin tone (think the color you'd use to subtly contour). the right shade of neutral brown can really enlarge your eyes without adding the drama/boldness of black eyeliner. really great for light, natural makeup days in the spring and summer.

i just went through the headache of finding my perfect gel eyeliner brush. i have two that i LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE and highly recommend. cheap, too!

first, Bdellium Tools Angled Brow 762 an angled eyeliner/eyebrow brush. gives me the most perfect cat eye.

second, Bdellium Tools Fine Point Eyeliner 706 if you are looking for something way more precise. for the days i want a thinner eyeliner looks. TRUST ME. these are great.

edit: i splurged on the bobbi brown fine eyeliner brush and hated it. it just didn't give me what i wanted. it was hard to use IMO. my cat eye never came out right, but i don't know what you are trying to accomplish with your liner. good luck.

One thing that has helped me immensely is brush choice. I tried for YEARS to get liner right using a pointed liner brush and every time the line wound up wavy. I thought I just couldn't wear eyeliner, because I couldn't make this work for me.

Then I started using an angled liner brush and I had a 100% improvement the first time I tried it.

If you haven't tried different kinds of brushes, I would highly advise you do so to see if one brush shape works better than others for you. Don't be afraid to start with cheap drugstore brushes, either. The different shapes will give you a general idea if one is easier than the other for you, and once you find one you love you can upgrade to a nicer brush if you want one.

I actually had just posted about the best eyeliner brush I had come across. I absolutely love this brush. Also, check that price out! :D

I would try a really long gel eyeliner brush. ELF makes one that has an angled top that gives you really good control over application. Gel eyeliner (comes in a little jar) is easier to apply I find because its thicker so if you slip up it's not dripping everywhere. ELF has a good gel eyeliner as well :D

This isn't the ELF brand but the brush looks like this (honestly this one looks nicer) https://www.amazon.com/Bdellium-Tools-Professional-Makeup-Studio/dp/B004L0BY8C/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=elf+eyeliner+brush&qid=1550926715&s=gateway&sr=8-8

If you have Amazon orders this add on sounds like what you'd need. Works great when I use my Mac Fluidline.
