A lot of official otome items can be pricey, especially like fanservice-y things like seiyuu CDs, art books, and illustrations. Games themselves, too, are pricey and it's hard to get something that comes with fast shipping from official stores because they ship from Japan or Korea and sometimes it's a pre-order, etc.

I may not play every since otome game out there, but I don't need official merch to be happy. What I mean is, I think even if you don't get something official for your friend, if it looks really nice and cute, I'd be happy with the thought that you got me something you usually wouldn't buy yourself. Sometimes fanmade things from storenvy or tictail can fit around your budget and are really cute!

Just as many people have said here, etsy and amazon are good choices to search for some merchandise, but before ordering, be sure to check how long shipping will take to you. Read reviews too, just in case the seller says they ship within 2 weeks, but some people get it 4 weeks later.

As for the contest, I like to sew, doodle, and find other crafty things to try when I feel creative. I even took a lost wax casting class and made some pendants and rings! I have been doing these things since I was a kid and it helps to unwind me. I made a silly monster for my dad for Christmas and this lovey bear for my grandma just because I had been wanting to make her something.

I do like to do other creative things like sing, play music, and make up fun stories.

I went as a zombie for a Halloween bike ride for the second year in a row (pic).

My makeup looked better than last year, and considering that I never really wear any makeup, let alone special effects makeup, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The makeup was all what I had left from the Mehron kit I used last year, along with some white Mehron makeup I bought separately. I wish the red makeup from the kit was darker and the black makeup wasn't so purple... I was in a bit of a rush to get everything done before the ride, but if I do it again next year I will do some more blending of those colors to get the wounds to look better.

My best tips for good zombie clothes: 1) Get two cans of spray paint, black and dark brown, and do a series of very light coats from far away so the paint particles float down. It does a good job of making the clothes look generally dirty and worn. 2) Do not under any circumstances use scissors to distress your clothes. On tougher fabrics like jeans, use a drywall sanding block or carefully just hit it with a belt sander here and there if you have one. On more delicate fabrics like knit shirts, roughly "shave" the fabric with a razor and it will create great, natural-looking holes. I especially like using the razor on hems and necklines.

If I was making this disneybound for my son, I'd pick Sora from KH3, its pretty straight forward for a disneybound I think. I'd get black knee-length cargo shorts, and sew/fabric glue/heatbond the strips of red on the thighs, but even without that the black cargo shorts would be fine. Then I'd get a black or dark grey tshirt, and a really lightweight black zip-up hoodie that I'd take the sleeves off of and wear unzipped over the tshirt. (Or, you could buy something like this ) Since I sew, I'd just line the hood part with red. Cheap black and yellow shoes available here ) I'm pretty sure some variation of the shorts, hoodie(s), and shoes can all be purchased at places like walmart too. The Sora necklace is available here - hook a keyblade keychain to your beltloop (available here ) or you could stop by a craft store like Michaels and see if they have crown and key charms available. Your local second-hand store probably also has shorts, tshirt/hoodies and shoes available, if the color of the shoes isn't just right, fabric markers or sharpies are available in craft stores. I hope this works out for you, please post a pic if you pull the outfit together!

The weather is gorgeous, my house is clean and I am toxic-friend free! Life is good and I am looking forward to my Relay events....oh I even managed to get the yard cleaned up! Gardens are next! Also been getting great feedback on my Egypt articles and heard that they want me back! Happy!

I love the Terry Ryan treat pouch. It pops open and shut on a springy hinge, which is really convenient.

If you don't need to hold as much, I've found the cheap simple Petco brand treat pouches to work well. No frills, just a cloth bag with a drawstring.

I have both of those, and use/abuse them both heavily. They both have smooth cloth liners without plastic coatings, so they clean up well in the sink with a dish brush and soap & water.

If you're feeling really crazy, you might even do what I do sometimes and wear both. I use the big one for the dog's daily kibble and the small one for high value treats. Kibble for reinforcing ho hum sits and whatnot, high value treats for counterconditioning. Looks dorky, but it works great.

I use a verbal marker instead of a clicker on walks so there's nothing to fiddle with, but if you want to use a clicker then put it on a wrist keychain band thingy. They should be like 50 cents a pop at a local hardware store. Then you can drop it without losing it, and always have it handy at a second's notice.

There's also starmark quicker clicker which I haven't personally tried but looks like a good idea. It clips on your belt or bag so it's always handy without needing to hold it in hand.

keys--put a house key on a second wrist keychain band thingy and put it around your upper arm to keep it out of the way.

I don't know if it would help per se, but you could totally put some EL wire on it. Given the boots have velcro straps, and those velcro straps have loops, you could thread some EL wire through the loops/straps, and not have to sew it or anything! It would be visible, but also super cool looking. If you did decide to do that, you could clip/strap the battery pack to you boot and it won't add much weight overall.

If you don't know what EL wire is, click here. You can get some that have one battery pack and multiple colors, or you can get one long strand of one color that goes to a single battery pack.

Alternatively, you could also just hang some little LED rings, or thread some LED strip lights through it. Whatever you decide, I think it's a great idea, as long as you keep it light (pun intended). And if I see someone with a boot with EL wire on it, they can expect a high-five ;)

When we picked these up from the costume shop it was a choice of very small LOTR style points) which might not have shown over wigs and the large ones which are less D&D elf and certainly not half elf. We went with large, after all it matches some fan art and the ears though not that big weren’t tiny in the live action intro.

However, I’m thinking of ordering this set. Different sizes to try to see what works best with our wigs AND it looks like these are clip on and don’t require spirit gum glueing.

Although if anyone has any recommendations off ears that would be wonderful!

I don't regret a single thing I do in life and I'm done some dumb things. But, regretting things implys that you would change them if you could and you wish you hadn't done them. Really everything we did previously makes us who we are today so there's no point in regretting. You CANT change it and it made you the wonderful person you have become. You learn from everything good bad and stupid.

Ouch 9 hours? That's hard. Do random stuff in your area! have a picnic, go to the museum. Or not self entertain. Watch some movies. Take on a do-it-yourself project. Dress up and take pictures of yourself. Do whatever makes you feel good! Say "I'm going to get a coffee" when you feel like one... then drive 200 miles and go on a mini vacation on accident. Anytime he barks (someone at the door, etc.) then say "speak, speak, speak, good boy, speak, good boy!" - then he learns to associate the term speak with when he barks. Similar to how for the first month or two, I would constantly say "poop" when he went out to go poop so I could tell before I went on a walk if he was going to just pee or poop too.
  
  Another fun training thing, I bought some of these and hung four of them up by my door to get him to nudge it with his nose anytime he needed to go out.

I've been to it a few times. It is a lot of fun. As far as suggestions go... I would say Baby Wipes. They will be your best friend I promise. I'm not sure if I will be able to hit up Rothbury this year but you'll have a lot of fun!

This is the cheapest thing on my list, and, since I love owl jewelry, also the coolest, in my opinion.

• One food forever? Is that assuming I won't die in a diabetic coma? Because then it'd totally be Krispy Kremes.
  
• My phobia: heights. I am seriously terrified of heights.
  
• Biggest pet peeve: mouth noises. People who chew with their mouth open or snap gum or just randomly make mouth noises...ARGH.

I have a sad-then-sweet animal story.

When I went to college, I had to leave my dog and my two rabbits with my parents. I didn't come home for the first month and a half of school, to acclimate myself. Then one day I get a call from my dad, telling me I should probably come home...to say goodbye to one of my rabbits. He had stopped eating and was SKELETAL. He had dinosaur spikes on his back from being so emaciated. He wouldn't eat a single piece of food.

So I toughed it up, came home, and held my rabbit for HOURS, crying like crazy. He nuzzled into my neck, he checked out the dog, he hopped a little, then he would just lay down on me, too tired to carry on.

I thought this was the end. We were going to schedule an appointment to have him put down the next morning. Then, by chance, I decided to feed him a raisin, just to see.

AND HE TOOK THE RAISIN.

Then another, then another. Then some lettuce.

We found out that my rabbit missed me, thought I had abandoned him, so he stopped eating because he was sad! That is the only explanation, because from then on I started coming home every weekend to work, and the rabbit went on to live another year of his happy, hoppy life!
