Alright...
Ol' Florida boy here, so I'm aware of the pain.

First, you need a good offset umbrella. Get the offset, so that the pole isn't in the middle of everything. Deck chairs are up to you. Everyone has their own comfort level for chairs.

I recommend a big ass fan that you can put far away, and that can move air across your whole area. If you're so inclined, a fan mist kit can help a lot too. This may or may not be convenient (or necessary) for you, depending on your setup.

I'm an outdoorsy kinda guy, and I'd rather hang out outside all day than sit inside. As such, I recommend Adidas Climacool Shirts. They make other styles than the golf/polo shirt type, but the fabric is amazing in the heat.

Keeping with the staying outdoors all day theme, I always recommend a good hat to keep you cool. Hats are, of course, a personal preference, but anything with a nice wide brim, and plenty of ventilation is great.

Now, a cooler isn't necessarily required, however, if you're the cooler type, then you can't go wrong with a stainless steel patio cooler. If that's a little outside your budget, maybe go for a plastic one. Those Marine Ultra ones can hold ice for days without a problem.

If you've got the cooler, but you're more of a mini keg kinda guy, you could get a jockey box kit to slap up in a cooler. If you had a decent sized cooler, then you could still keep some sodas or water in there.

Now, I don't know about you, but when I'm chillaxin' out by the bbq, I like to get down with some tunes. You can get some outdoor radio setups for pretty cheap. We always managed to hide speakers under the roof overhang, and this seems geared towards it right out of the box.

Now, I'm not much of a TV guy, but if you're hanging out with the friends and family, especially in the autumn, someone's gonna demand to watch the football game. I have a crappy little 32" TV that I like to pull out and connect to the stereo, so we can put the game(s) on. Get one you like. That was just the first one I found for under $200. The one I've got is an older model from Sharp, and has a matte finish on the screen, so the viewing angle is very wide, and it's pretty easy to see, so long as there's a little shade over it. Also, $200 isn't a critical loss of cash if it gets rained on. Though in the 5 or so years I've been pulling the TV, it has never gotten wet enough to be a problem. (It rains nearly every afternoon during the summer where I'm from in FL).

Those are just some ideas, and not a comprehensive list. I didn't mention anything about mosquito control, as I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to Texas as "swampy".

Ok. Look,’the reason these things look well together is simply because they are visually pleasing. There is nothing more or less to it. Stop searching for the why. There is no reason to the why. It just is!

The guides that people provided regarding fabrics working together is correct and a perfect guide to help keep you looking presentable at work. Patterns and cuts will change, new fabrics may be invented, but there are things that are “classic” looks especially for men that haven’t really changed much.

Button up you can pair with slacks of any color and jeans and look polished. You’d want, white, brown, black, blue.

Khaki pants look good with all the colors I mentioned above.

polos are also another option to shirts especially in warmer weather. These will also look acceptable with khakis.

As for belts and shoes, you’d want your shoes to match your belt. If you’re wearing a black belt, wear black shoes. Wear a brown belt, wear brown shoes.

The The color wheel can give you a visual ideal of what will look good together. Here is some overview of color theory to help you understand where the idea some colors look good together.

Your employee handbook is also going to outline for you what is acceptable to wear and what is not acceptable. Stay within those guidelines and find colors you like and look visually appealing to you. You’ll be fine.

Aside from the obvious (gear), some great gifts/accessories under $50 are....

Antibacterial spray. Spray this stuff on after every use while the gear dries. Helps reduce the stink. Everyone should use this stuff.

For those of us that sweat, these liners are a godsend. I played once without one the other week by mistake and sweat would not stay out of my eyes. These are a must.

Superfeet carbon or hockey comfort. I was skeptical at first, but they really are great. Worth the price of admission

I enjoy stick wax. Helps keep my blade a little cleaner, tape lasts a little longer, and I get a nice smell.

Too much volume in the toes of your skates? Bauer clearly realized this as their latest lineup has an anatomical toecap which effectively does exactly what these do.

It’s a personal preference, but I switched to Tacki Mac over a year ago in place of traditional hockey tape. It really does extend the life of your gloves and lasts a lot longer.

If you have a lake nearby then you are good to go - just be sure to use completely bio-degradeable, non-harmful detergent. I recommend Dr. Bronners, you can use it for everything, and it's all natural. You could drink the stuff and be fine. Don't though. You can also get a water filter system like the Sawyer Mini for your drinking water. Biggest advice I'd give you is to get rid of as many items of cotton clothing as possible an replace them with wool and synthetic. This is essential. I am an avid camper, and replaced everything I wear this year and the difference is amazing. Clothes smell fresher for three times as long, are easier to clean, dry 4 times faster and are more comfortable to wear in general. I use:

Hi. I've been looking for a casual jacket for some time now- mostly for casual outings when you don't want to dress to up or too down. And the one Jason Bateman's character wears in season 2 of Ozark seems just perfect.

Looking on Amazon the closest thing I could find are 'Golf Jackets', which look similar but I have no idea if it's the same style or material. The one in the photo seems to be made of wool or cotton blend and not nylon like most Golf Jackets.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Rickie is wearing a snap back these days... His fitted hats of old were pretty sweet though.

I have 5-6 of the titelist fitted mesh hats, assorted colors, with the script on the front, FJ and ProV on the sides. Amazing hats and very well rounded to look like a normal golf hat.

Here's the one: https://www.amazon.com/Titleist-Sports-Medium-Large-White/dp/B01D25XG0K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1523393689&sr=8-2&keywords=titleist%2Bhat&th=1

I know what you're talking about with the dumpy fit and look on many of them.

Under Armour

I know the brand doesn’t get respect here but I have a few pairs that I got years ago at Marshall’s that are my favorites. The branding is very subtle.

The slim version is perfect for me. I got a pair of the straight legged ones and they were too baggy.

u/bernardobrito · 3 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I don't play much golf, but I have found some really effective yet stylish 2nd layers among golf clothes (think about the climate in Scotland).

For example, I own this Nike Tiger Woods Platinum Collection merino wool 1/4 zip in black. It is trim-fitting with nice stretch, and I get a lot of compliments. Only detail is a pocket on the left sleeve (for tees?).

https://www.zappos.com/p/nike-golf-tw-sweater-crew-black-wolf-grey/product/8879300/color/240592

I also own a Mizuno brand sweater that is merino wool and has a thin windbreaker lining. Also trim-fitting.

Some of these Italian Nike line clothes are outrageous. I've got a $200 shirt. It's not anything special, got it from a buddy who had an account with Nike (pro athlete). He was like, 'yea I had some leftover money in my account so I found these golf shirts' and sold it to me for $40. edit Here's the shirt, only $100 on amazon! Retail in Italy is a shaft job!

The jacket was pretty nice, but not worth the $250 or whatever he said it was. The sleeves were this neat material that was flexy, and it was that material all the way up through the neck, so swinging in that jacket was super smooth and easy. He wanted $80 for that though, and I didn't need a jacket.

edit And here's the jacket, pretty sweet to golf in, really.

I keep arguing golf isn't a rich mans game, but Italy is making me look bad.

Awesome. They even ship to the US. Thanks! Found it on Amazon US too

I have a switch belt that looks nice enough. TSA friendly as there's no metal. I've had mine for a couple months now and been happy with it.

u/SmoothAsBabysButt · 1 pointr/NYCbike

For my daily commute, I wear layers:

  • rain pants over my slacks (if it's rainy)
  • undershirt, Shirt, sweater, golf pullover, Visijax rainshell/windbreaker
  • Gloves (cheapo leather gloves from C21)
  • if it's really cold, my Skullcap
  • My Buff

This will work, even in pretty low temperatures (10s/20s F) with moderate wind.

The layering allows me to adjust to the local conditions pretty well. Everying fits even into relatively small bags/ knapsacks

I snagged this..

Adidas Golf 2016 Climaheat Prime Fill Insulated Quilted Mens Golf Thermal Jacket Dark Grey Heather/Black Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYH4DZX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i1TVBb9PJ5NKG

I love it! But most quarter zip golf shirts will have performance advantages since they are designed for sport.

u/loddist · 2 pointsr/onebagging

Hahaha, I like how the pic says "not this", "not this"...
It's good to be specific.

Unfortunately I haven't got any recommendations for you (that I've tried myself). But you could possibly find beige golf pants.

Example on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Puremotion-Front-Khaki-35x30/dp/B00HVRGFHC/

I know I haven't got the exact shade right. But really, any brand golf pants in your colour should work. They're all designed to be moisture wicking and dry quickly. You should be able to find some cheap ones too. Just hunt around a bit online for golf pants in that specific colour.

If you were in the UK, I'd tell you to just look in sportsdirect. If you're US, maybe walmart?

Hope this helps.
