I know it's not what you've got listed as something you really want, but:
http://www.amazon.com/GoFit-GF-PUB-Push-Up-Bars/dp/B0007W2FLS/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1320159827&sr=1-3
These are really good. Coach Sommer, author of the book which I also read and love, really recommends doing a lot of l-sit work. If you can get to the point where you can hold an l-sit for even a couple seconds, those pushup bars are your best friend. Seriously, wake up and hold an l-sit on those suckers for a few reps, and your abs will be tough as nails quite quickly.
As far as rings go, don't go cheap. If you want to make your own, make sure you find a guide that will build rings to support your weight. I bought:
http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Rings-2-0-Gymnastic-Crossfit/dp/B0030CEHYU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320160318&sr=8-1
They have treated me extremely well, and I have made a lot of progress on these rings, from barely holding myself up to doing a muscle up to planche to handstand on them. They are still good as new. They are like 37 bucks and are available with prime, so it's a pretty good deal. If you're willing to spend some more money you could actually get a nice pair of wooden rings. They are pretty nice and work well with chalk.
Here's my "asshole with too much disposable income" version. .
The toilet seat is wonderful - I mean we're piping in and heating up water for the express purpose of making going to the bathroom a much better and toilet paper free experience. It even has a pink button for girls I never press.
The chair costs far less (and I bought mine in person for substantially cheaper than amazon sells it) than many people will spend on inconsequential upgrades for a car. It is soothing to know that on-demand you or anyone you choose to let use the chair can access a pleasant, therapeutic experience for the price of a dime's worth of electricity.
The parallel bars gave me access to press handstands, something I can do on concrete in public now without fear. I do street performance of acroyoga for fun and it's incredibly inviting to be able to be at ease playing acrobatically in public. The pole is crazy difficult, humbling, and a party in 4 square feet. AMA!
I dont know what kind of rules exist regarding hanging from trees, but buying (or making, somone had a link to a howto around here in the last day or so) a set of Gymnastic Rings might provide a light piece of equipment to carry in but allow you to do all kinds of stuff.
Once I am in better shape to use them (Im not strong enough currently) I think I will add them to my routine as the workouts look pretty awesome.
Hi there!
I've removed this post under Rule 5: No advertising
We appreciate your good intentions, but this is not the proper outlet as of now. You are welcome to re-post this in the Daily Discussion Thread. Here is a copy of your post for your reference:
>I've had these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ETR4FEQ) for a year now and they're amazing. Unfortunately, I'm moving and just realized I can't take them with. If you're in SF, come take them off my hands. I'm asking $25 (https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/spo/6288622383.html) but would do it for free if you're from this community.
Cheers x
If you don't like going to a gym or find a gym membership too expensive or don't have time to hit the gym, buy one of those doorway pull up bars.
Then purchase a set of gym rings to hang off the bar like these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gymnastic-Exercise-Crossfit-Gymnastics-Sundried/dp/B071YHVPP6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=gym+rings&qid=1575113795&sr=8-3
Probably the best investment I have ever made. Think you can do a push up? Try doing them using rings.
Plenty of tutorials on YouTube ranging from simple to more complex exercises. See massive changes in my body since picking these up!
Thanks so much for the feedback! I was afraid that the dimensions might be weird because there wasn't anything to scale the parallettes with. /u/iggy_koopa recommended these, how do you think they compare against the ones you recommended?
Have had these for a month now and am very happy with them.
They're a little pricey, but these ones are what I got. They've been working really well.
I bought these for $30. Good quality
https://www.amazon.com/Vita-Vibe-MP12-W-Wood-Parallettes/dp/B01DC8UK60/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1505170495&sr=1-1&keywords=mini+parallettes
For my back, I really just do lots of deep, powerful bends. I do dropbacks, Viparita Chakrasana work, etc. That combined with pull-ups and I really don't feel like I need much more than that. YMMV
These parallettes are 9" off the ground, 24" long: http://www.amazon.com/The-Beam-Store-24-Inch-Parallettes/dp/B001TP3B2Y/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=301W7IOI8560K&coliid=I195JPCIB6ULO5

mini parallettes are another alternative for doing exercises on your fists.
I've not actually tried the brand in the link, it's just an image as an example.
I bought them from Amazon instead of making them because I am not good with
computerconstruction and I'm also lazy.Shipping+duties made them expensive cuz I'm Canadian but still a bit cheaper than what I'd find them for at the stores around here. I got these ones.
Tim Ferriss is always talking these up

You can do full rom hspu off a curb - can you find a curb in this dystopia you are in with no books?
