  1. Something Grey. Manatees love tea too.

  2. Something reminiscent of rain. I have have a 6 hour thunderstorm on my iPod that I listen too almost every night to help me relax and go to sleep. But, my pillow finally gave up the ghost, so I use ear buds...not as comfy.

  3. Food related, yet unusual. May seem tame to most, but my brain can't wrap around how these will/would taste.

  4. On my list for someone else. Slightly NSFW! For my wife who has sensitive...well, you'll understand when you look at the link. She needs this stuff to be more comfortable. I only have to look at them funny and it's too much for her.

  5. A book you should read. The Red Tent, is a book based on the fictional life of Dinah from the old Testament. She is is mentioned only once I think in the bible, but the author of this book weaves a life story based on how women where treated and lived back then. Dinah lives in a harsh world but learns from the women around her and see the workings of this mysterious entity called God in her world. It is a wonderful read and having to tell you about it reminded me I want it again to reread. Really a great book.

  6. Item that is less than a dollar. This awesome awesome fantastic song!

  7. Something for my kitty Cassie May. I've always wanted one of these for my kitty and this was the perfect opportunity to finally add it to my WL.

  11. Something that would have a profound impact on my life and help me to achieve my current goals. Currently I have no real space to do my painting and in a month and a half I'm moving and will have even less space to myself and my painting. This would enable me to paint at any table. I have heard that a lot of people like Lush, but it is significantly more expensive than plain henna powder. I don't henna weekly because it's a bit of a production, but I do it at least once a month. I don't do full dye-released treatments because I like my natural color and I just want some of the red highlight sheen and the conditioning, so I only prepare a small bit for dye release with ACV the night before and then mix in unprepared henna and amla the next day for conditioning. As far as I know you could use henna every day if you really wanted to, since it doesn't hurt your hair. If you've ever done a protein treatment, it feels kind of like that... strong, shiny, and slightly stiff or crunchy if you don't deep condition afterward (which I do with a shea and oil mask, plus the amla helps during the henna treatment).

I just use henna from Amazon or the Indian grocer, since it's much cheaper and as long as you don't have chemical pollutants it's all the same molecule. This Godrej Nupur one is nice and has a good blend of other herbs, plus you can't beat $4 for 150 grams! Hesh is also very good and can usually be found in a local Indian grocer for about $3-5. Whole Foods sells Rainbow henna for about $7-8, and they have premixed henna/indigo colors if you want more brown tones with the red. Don't get a brand you don't recognize or that doesn't list the ingredients, since some Indian products don't follow FDA ingredient labeling standards and you don't want to get anything that has chemical additives.

Lush's henna is just plain henna mixed with cocoa butter and lemon juice for dye release (you should use raw ACV instead for the pH level and photosensitivity on your scalp), plus a bunch of EOs and fragrance. If you want to have that feeling in your hair, you can warm up some cocoa butter and mix it in with the henna, or do it afterward as a deep conditioning mask. I would do it separately with other conditioners so it doesn't interfere with the dye. For the scent you can add anything you want to the henna, but I would research it to make sure it's not irritating. Lush uses clove and lavender, which I would avoid unless you're using the actual ground herb and not the EO. I use ground cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, clove, and some rosewater. Ok, enough henna talk haha.

For me at least, I tried every volumnizing product out there, but it wasn't until I really focused on having healthy hair that I felt like it had any life. I started using this shampoo/conditioner, and once a week this deep conditioner. I also got batiste dry shampoo and stopped washing/drying my hair everyday. Instead I wash it every 2-3 days, and spend time blow drying it well (breaking it up into sections, etc), then use dry shampoo in-between to keep it fresh(i like adding the dry shampoo at night letting it soak in overnight, and the smell isn't so strong in the am then). That routine alone really helped my hair -- I also use this dangler and it is hands down the best hair product ever!!!! It makes your hair feel moisturized, smooth, and it really helps the fresh hair last longer. I use this about 1-2 times a week on my wet hair, but sometimes I add a tiny bit to dry hair for some shine, or to tame flyaways. In the summer I put some in a spray bottle with some water and put it in my beach/pool bag. For adding even more life/volume, I sometimes use a tresemee mousse, but I honestly don't even know if they make it anymore (I think it was their climate control line?) -- but anything that doens't make your hair heavy works pretty well.

Anyway -- hope that can be of some help!

u/Punkergirl14 · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

I'm not sure if it will work on such coarse hair, but you might want to try a Brazilian hair straightening kit (I found this on amazon, but I'm in the UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003YUEF7C/ref=cm_sw_em_r_am_wp_am_gb?ie=UTF8). It's a home keratin treatment that is supposed to relax the hair and keep it straight/sleek for a while. I would also say that it may help hair to grow her hair longer as the weight of the hair should help to keep it straighter, or may at least be able to be tamed into nice curls as apposed to frizz.

It's very sweet that you're so concerned about helping your wife! I hope you find a solution.

u/elilili · 1 pointr/curlyhair

You have type 3c or 4a hair, but the photo is kind of blurry.

The Roots Naturelle Virgin Hair Fertilizer Conditioning Treatment is pretty good for growing hair. When I tried it once my hair literally grew overnight, but I also used it with an argan oil condtioner. A lot of people on this sub use that argan oil shampoo, argan oil supposedly grows you hair.

How do you detangle your hair? You should do it wet, with a detangler or leave in. Start at the ends of your hair and slowly work you way up. Kinky Curly makes the best detangler out there IMO, and they also have a hard water shampoo, gel and hair oil.

Mane and Tail Herbal Gro is a cheap hair growing shampoo that's petty popular with people who have curly hair. It works for me just as well as the argan oil shampoo, however it sometimes gives me acne.

Try putting a shower cap on when you sleep. It keeps the moisture from escaping and can help grow you hair. It also keeps your hair from getting messed up, you only need to wash it once every week or once every couple of days. Some people wash with conditioner every couple of days or every week but "clarify" with shampoo once a month.

Also you should check out r/blackhair if you don't already know about that sub. They might be able to help with protective styles and other junk. I'm just assuming you're black because of your use of the term "big chop" which means you hair takes relaxer. I see a lot of people over there transitioning to natural hair. Although admittedly most of the users are teenaged boys asking what a fade is.

Edit: Oh also take some Biotin

u/hilbedil · 1 pointr/PCOS

I'm sorry you're going through that, I feel your pain.

Have you had your insulin levels tested / do you have an idea if you might be insulin resistant? Insulin resistance can happen to anyone, regardless of your weight. When excess insulin is floating around in the body, usually excess androgenic hormones are produced, too — so it might be worth testing out your testosterone & other hormones too, if you haven't already (it sounds like you might have, if you're already on Spiro).

I've seen stuff like this posted around this sub lately:
https://thepcosnutritionist.com/resources/pcos-hair-loss/

With hair loss, it can be pretty difficult to pinpoint the root cause (I'm right with you, my hair has been shedding aggressively for over 4 years and I keep reaching new lows!). But maybe trying to determine what type of PCOS you have could be a good place to start. That's at least what I'm trying, so I'm not just continuing to throw a bunch of random treatments at it!

I think carbs, if they're coming from plant-based sources, are fine — but it's probably worth cutting back on sugar (I think pretty much everyone, PCOS or not, benefits from this!

If you're looking for more immediate cover-up solutions, keeping your hair short can definitely help with the illusion of thicker hair — that's what I've been doing. Also, Toppik seems to be a great product for filling in gaps on the scalp with keratin fibers that match the color of your hair. I'm also looking into this serum, to see if it will do anything: https://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Professional-Serioxyl-Denser-Treatment/dp/B00NU4LW00

Sorry for the info dump! You're definitely not alone — starting with lab work to try to pin down the root cause will hopefully save you time (and hair!).

u/sarah_jaaane · 1 pointr/mixedrace

L’Oreal steampod gets hair way smoother than regular straighteners but your hair seems too short to use it effectively.

You’d get a better result with a Keratin treatment, which you can buy on Amazon.
Use with superhot slim straighteners (will wash out if the straighteners aren’t hot enough). Do this in a well ventilated area, that stuff is toxic.

It’ll smooth your hair texture and give you looser, smoother curls which are super easy to straighten. It washes out after a few months.

I bet your hair looks really cute curly tbh.

1, 2, 3

So many people would be jealous of your cute curly hair if you embrace it. Most people can’t get that look, even with a perm.

But I get wanting your hair to be straight, I’ve felt that way before.

It sounds like we have similar hair types. Mine looks best and is most manageable when I don't shampoo too often.

I use a product from Burt's Bees, it's a pre-shampoo avocado butter treatment. Basically, I've noticed it keeps my hair much more manageable after shampooing when I use it.

http://www.amazon.com/Burts-Bees-Pre-Shampoo-Treatment-Rosemary/dp/B00012NI7E

Steps:

  1. Hop in shower, wet hair/body as normal. First thing, grab and apply the pre-shampoo. It's a thick oil and smells good as fuck. You don't need a lot, just enough to work into your hair. You don't need to lather it.
  2. Let it soak in for a good 5 minutes before shampooing.
  3. Use JUST enough shampoo to clean hair/remove excess product buildup.
  4. Condition as usual

After drying your hair, it should still have maintained a good amount of control. The avocado butter oil mimics the natural oil you produce, and it sticks around for a good 12-24 hours until your body has time to replenish your natural oils.

Also, I particularly like to do my shampooing the night before and will use a small amount of the avocado butter pre-treatment as a styling aid before going to bed.
u/infiniteloooop · 2 pointsr/CompulsiveSkinPicking

Hey! I have the exact problem as you do, except probably more advanced. I'm 28 and have been picking target areas of my skin since Elementary School. I think the scalp picking happened just after high school ended for me. I remember a time where I can run my own fingers through my hair and not lift a bunch of skin off my scalp to leave terrible looking flakes in my hair... I have to basically take a very fine tooth comb to pull the dead skin out of my hair follicles that lifted off of my damaged scalp. No fun. I feel that I've picked my scalp so much that it hasn't ever really had time to heal and so I'm here with a deranged form of dandruff where the flakes are large disks and not small flecks.

So, yeah it does gets worse for you. The worst area is right at the crown of my head right at the hairline. I'll have just taken a shower, after scrubbing my scalp free of dead flakes and I'll get out to find MORE lifted up. In plain sight, for everyone to see. I have to wear certain hairstyles to hide it and know I can't at ALL touch my hair lest I release another dandruff-looking monster. And, I hope you know that any scarring on the scalp is going to be a spot hair can't grow back. So there's that, too.

I just wanted to get all my horror stories out of the way before I get into some of the whys and fixes. Compulsive skin picking is indeed in the OCD family, and part of how it works is similar to having a drug addiction. We look for imperfections on our skin, and when we give into our moments of picking we not only get a large sense of relief, we are releasing endorphins and getting a mini high off of doing it! So, just know that when you care little about the damage you cause yourself and give into the feel-goods, you're giving into your brain and body's twisted urges and it may not be a conscious choice of yours at all.

I'm still trying to find ways to heal my scalp quicker than I pick it (because we all have bad days). I need to do research on Head & Shoulders because I don't think it's as good as I was lead to believe. Sucks too, because I found a SCALP CARE version of the shampoo. I purchased a $9 tub of hair masque from a beauty store recently and I use that a few times a week when I feel I really need a 'pick me up' for my scalp. I've also just ordered a "scalp shampoo brush" and tea tree oil shampoo from Amazon, which neither I have experience with yet but have heard wonderful things, especially about the shampoo brush.

Gotta end my babble here because I have to get to work, sorry if any of this is a jumbled mess to read. Hopefully, there's something helpful in there for you. I know giving into our impulses feels great, but out body can't handle these habits indefinitely.

Scalp Shampoo Brush (there's more options too)

Tee Tree Oil Shampoo

Read the reviews and questions for more about them and how they've helped folk. :)

Why don't you try a keratin treatment? You can do it yourself if you don't want to spend a lot of money at a salon. I've been doing mine for about a year with a kit I bought off Amazon

It's a bit of a palaver to do at first but once it's done it lasts for around 3-4 months, as long as you continue to use a salt-free shampoo (eg: tresemme naturals) afterwards. It's brilliant, makes hair less frizzy and dries straight in 10-15 minutes. I tend to go over it again with a straightener when dry but it doesn't take that long. Also, even when you go out in the rain (a no-no for anyone with frizz) it's not that bad. Quite often it doesn't curl at all, which is amazing, as I'm a frizz ball usually.

Also, if you try it and decide against it, just simply use a non-salt free shampoo to wash it out again!

u/IcemanBlizz · 1 pointr/curlyhair

Here are few I found:

Traditional Shampoo (These will remove oils from your hair, but also dry it out. Use a lot of conditioner if you're going to use these, or a deep conditioner like this.)

Eden Bodyworks Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo - This is clarifying so use it rarely when you need a "Reset" with your hair.

Kinky Curly Come Clean - This also has a sulfate, so it will remove oil from your hair, good and bad.

Non-sulfate Shampoo (Great if you don't need to get every last bit of oil out of your hair)

Maple Holistics Argan Oil Shampoo - Probably one of the more gentle ones.

Shea Moisture Baobob Low Porosity Shampoo - Great if you have low porosity hair.

Co-Wash (You can use these daily if you wish as they don't strip the hair of many oils. These are also conditioners)

As I Am Coconut CoWash - Thick and great for high porosity hair, but on low porosity, it can build up.

DevaCurl Original No-Poo Cleanser - Pricey, though I do think they ship to Canada.

u/lobster_johnson · 1 pointr/Psoriasis

Coal tar definitely isn't the most effective descaler. The best descaling agent by far is urea. You can massage a urea cream in your scalp and leave for a few hours or overnight, or use a urea shampoo such as SebaMed's Extreme Dry skin Relief Shampoo, which is 5% urea.

Another interesting urea shampoo I've not tried is Eucerin's Dermo Capillaire. Eucerin is a very good German brand. This shampoo combines urea with lactic acid (which is yet another keratolytic) and polidocanol (a mild anaesthetic that helps reducing itching). The combination of urea, lactic acid and polidocanol was described in this paper (where they use it together with Chinese licorice, which has antibacterial properties) with very good results. This product also comes as a leave-in scalp treatment

Your description of your scalp sounds quite a bit like seborrhoeic dermatitis, which is fungal in nature. Experiencing seborrhoeic dermatitis together with psoriasis is so common it has a name: sebopsoriasis. We have a wiki page on how to distinguish the two, but ideally a doctror should examine you. It can look very similar.

The combination of urea and lactic acid has been studied to help seborrhoeic dermatitis, too, by the way.

I use Virgo on my edges, and it's helped it grow back. It was recommended by my braider.

But what I think helped the most was wearing Havana braids. With micro braids I too lost a ton of my hair on my edges. But with Havana braids there's less tension on my hair since each individual braid is so large. Over the past few months my edges have slowly, but surely been filling back in. Right now I'm just doing simple 2-twists at night then taking them out in the morning. I will probably get more Havana braids in a month or two. I honestly am not sure I will get micro braids again, no matter how much I liked them :( But I do love the havana braids :)

Also be sure to let your hair rest after taking out braids!

I have fine and straight hair, and two shampoos I enjoy right now are L'Oreal EverSleek and ColorProof Crazysmooth. The first is about $8 a bottle depending on where you get it, the second around $30 so that's probably more pricey than you want.

Besides those, I know that shampoos you can get at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are almost always sulfate free and very gentle. Burt's Bee's is another affordable one. Some others I found that have good reviews from straight-haired folks are Carol's Daughter and DermOrganic. These are all more expensive than what you're used to, partly because SLS is so cheap of an ingredient, but when you wash less frequently you also use the shampoo more slowly - so less money spent on it over time!

If your hair is feeling soft and doesn't break easily then this is more of a suggestion, but if not then i highly recommend putting some sort of light conditioner on your hair after you wash. Conditioners are the best line of defense from cuticle breakage and cut down on dryness and frizz if you ever have those. Avoid stuff with silicones and SD alcohol or alcohol denat. if you can. Neutrogena Triple Moisture has many good reviews, as well as One n' Only Argan Oil Treatment, and Chi Silk Infusion.

I didn't think I'd enjoy putting oil on my face, but I really like TO Marula Oil. What oils do people put on their face?

Looking at oils from other brands that might be easier to actually buy. Has anyone used oils from poppy austin, Native Botanics or Naissance? They all have good reviews on Amazon but most people writing reviews on Amazon are also barely literate.

Is there a particular brand I want to buy oils from? And do I want to put raspberry seed oil on my face?

I'm still unsure if my hair is for sure low porosity, but I've been using the Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Hair Masque as a conditioner and leave in. I love the smell, and it makes my hair very soft. I get pretty nice results without leftover residue just sitting on my hair.

u/bluethreads · 1 pointr/curlyhair

my hair is extraordinarily thick. it just loves to be frizzy. I also plop overnight, otherwise, my hair will be wet the entire day.

like you, I never know what to expect. I can leave the house with it looking presentable, but if I happen to glance in a mirror a couple hours later - it looks like I've been frolicking with the mad hatter!

I get disappointed with most drug store conditioners, which aren't thick or moisturizing enough for my hair. I even splurged on expensive quality conditioners my curly hair salon sold me- but the conditioners weren't strong enough. I use this conditioner: http://www.amazon.com/Ors-Olive-Hair-Masque-Ounce/dp/B005YH1AC6
It is one of the best I have found- and it costs a reasonable $10. I apply it liberally. One bottle lasts me 2-3 months, since I only wash about 2-3 times a week. The conditioner is very thick and it moisturizes very well. I'm not sure how the instructions say to use it, but I use it like a regular conditioner. I squish to condish with it.

Also, I find that my hair always looks best with regular haircuts. If I let too much time go by without a haircut, it starts to look very drull and lifeless.

u/ravenseyeview · 1 pointr/curlyhair

Yeah, the smoothie one is the WORST! It feels terrible to even put it on my hair. The leave-in conditioner seems to be the best thing I bought, but it's still not great. I did the same thing at Target :) I ended up with this: Organic Root Stimulator Masque. It's supposed to be a weekly treatment, but I've used it for the past 3 days straight. I'm hesitant about it though, I have no idea if the ingredients are good. And it doesn't say anywhere that it's gluten free (I have celiac disease). It makes my hair feel kind of light and silky, but it's still super frizzy.

u/SoFluffyle · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I use this one:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MKQMM4O/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1520365357&sr=8-1&keywords=wella+luxe+oil&dpPl=1&dpID=31xrQBPuEYL&ref=plSrch

I don't know if you can get it cheaper (I'm from Germany and can say: that's way too expensive). Other than that I also liked the Paul Mitchell hair oil, if argan and coconut don't do anything for you. A friend of mine likes the moroccanoil series, so maybe just switch the brands. Good luck on finding your holy grail 👍

Hi there! Whilst my hair is currently doing okay moisture-wise, I also struggle with a dry scalp/dandruff and flakiness. My scalp is also sensitive and and gets itchy when overloaded with products so I have to be careful of that. At the moment, my way of managing it is to low-poo (not CG-friendly) once a week and co-wash (also not CG-friendly) every 3 or so days. I always focus the low-poo on my scalp and roots. This eliminates 98%~ of my flakiness at the moment, and until I can afford a proper CG-friendly medicated shampoo, this is what I'm going to stick with.

I've also seen that Cantu has a couple of products that show potential, namely the Refresh Root Relief with Apple Cider Vinegar and Peppermint Oil and the Refresh Root Rinse With Apple Cider Vinegar and Tea Tree Oil, but I haven't had chance to try either out.

I have used the Cantu Shea Butter Tea Tree & Jojoba Hair & Scalp Oil, but I haven't used it directly on my scalp enough to definitively say whether it helped with my dandruff. However, I do occasionally mix it in either with my hair mask or my leave-in conditioner when I feel my hair is extra-dry and it does make a difference. If you aren't currently using any hair oils, perhaps looking for one would be a good place to start to help your dry curls?

If you want to look for a CG-friendly medicated shampoo, I would start with this list from the Science-y Hair Blog.

I'm sorry I cannot be more helpful but I hope this has at least given you a few ideas on where to start.

oh one other idea: if you NEED a leave in conditioner, try a cream form instead of an oil. I use the L'oreal Elvive Extraordinary Cream and while on paper the ingredients are totally unremarkable, it really works well. If not that, some other brand; can't think of any more but know there are a few formulated as oil-to-cream and that's what consensus appears to hold is best for fine flatties like us.

I do a weekly scalp massage with the
Tropic Isle Living- Strong Roots Red Pimento Hair Growth Oil and it helps me with my scalp. I have noticed a big difference in buildup and overall happiness of my scalp. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VI0HVA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_pzvQBb3AYAV47

I went to a 99p shop with my mum and we found a tub of this 'argan oil' stuff that we had heard people rave about and we thought, as it is only 99p, we should try it and holy shit son! I look like a motherfucking majestic lion.
Amazon link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Argan-Oil-Hair-Poppy-Austin%C2%AE/dp/B00FVWZIX6 - its £20 as its the proper stuff but a lot of chemists and places like Primark sell them.

It's not the pure stuff like in the link buuuut i feel amazing and I keep making people touch my hair.

I have a few ideas that have been my go tos in the past to heal my hair:

  1. Mix an avocado, coconut oil, an egg and some jojoba oil in a blender. Put the mask on your hair for an hour at least once a week.
  2. Invest in "It's A Ten" leave in conditioning spray. I've been using it after every shower since 2009.
  3. Invest in Olaplex No. 3 - you can use a little in the shower and/or leave it on for a half hour around the house.
  4. Invest in Wella Lux Oil - it just goes on when your hair is damp and adds extra shine. Wella is awesome.
  5. The BEST head of hair I ever achieved was when I was doing yoga/working out daily and I was drinking about 2 liters of water a day. The shine and growth was nonstop.

I'm also in the process of making my hair healthier as we speak - it was a dry winter and I used heat like twice a week on it consistently. BUT, it will get better and so will yours.

I'm currently sporting platinum blonde hair (bleached from natural black), and while my natural texture isn't too badly damaged, my hair's been way drier than I'm used to. A combination of coconut oil, argan oil, this hair masque, and some CHI products are keeping it soft at the moment.

I'm using this blue-tinted shampoo and conditioner to maintain the blonde color, but back when I was sporting pink hair, I used the TIGI bedhead sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner and it was fairly good to me (didn't wash color out all that fast, kept hair looking shiny and feeling soft and healthy.)

Did the 1st attempt just look so harsh because your hair wasn't wavy or curled? Because the colors looks like an almost exact match to your inspiration picture, to my eye, except that the hair in that pic is very curly/wavy and that masks the "line." In all the other pictures we see your hair curled; do you have a pic of the first attempt with wavy/curly hair? I'm just curious.

Either way: your hair color looks very nice, now!

For dryness: my hair is very dry/damaged and last night I used some Burt's Bees Avocado Pre-Shampoo (I paid $10 in a store) all over my ends. I put a mix of 50/50 castor oil ($5 for a big bottle from Whole Foods; I'm using castor oil to see if it helps my hair grow..for science!) and olive oil (from my kitchen) on my roots, and let it all soak for awhile. After I washed and conditioned it in the shower, I put a small amount of the Burt's Bees product on my ends. (You can apparently use a small amount as a styling product, but it is very sticky.)

Ah-Mazing. My hair is sooo much softer than it was yesterday, after just one treatment.

There are some that use tea tree oil that smell pretty nice!

Like this one

And this!

As far as I'm concerned, mint is unisex

I've been using this for the past few months, and it's worked great for me. I can get two applications from one bag, and it's way cheaper and easier to use than the stuff from Lush.

Keratin Research Hair Treatment.

I had my friend do this on me because I didn't trust my abilities. I haven't washed it yet but I'm sooo happy with the result so far.

I really like the L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Balm and the Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask. There are often Target Cartwheel coupons and manufacturer's coupons for the L'Oreal mask.

I've actually seen Aussie 3-Minute Miracle with a pump at Target. It's a slightly bigger bottle and cost roughly the same per ounce for the mask.

Anything Gillette. Wash your face with a mild cleanser before and you shave. This is especially important if you suffer from acne.

Just throwing it out there, my barber recently used this astringent after cleaning my beard up. It didn’t burn my face or break me out in red blotches like most do (sensitive skin). It also smelled facking amazing. It’s called Sea Breeze, link below if you’re interested in trying it out.

Looks like you can get it on US Amazon, although it's $17.

I actually really liked the sound of the shampoo too, but it's $22. Might have to put that on my wish list.

Ingredients for the scalp treatment are:
Aqua, Urea, Methylpropanediol, Sodium Lactate, Laureth-9, Glycyrrhiza Inflata Root Extract, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Arginine, HCL, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cetrimonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol

I have been using this mask for a little over a month and I have to say I love it. I don't think it's 100% CG approved, but it works for me. I have higher porosity hair as well. Here's a link to Amazon

This Pimento Oil is great. It's a blend of Jamaican Red Pimento Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Wheat Germ, and Organic Coconut Oil. My hair is Type 2 and it's a bit heavy for me to use every week but is fine for my mom's Type 3 hair. Be careful if you have a sensitive scalp.

I also take False Daisy Root which is an alternative to Biotin.

Shampoo and condition as usual add the leave in conditioner everyday. Our hair has to moisturized constantly, or it won't grow properly. Additionally you can use an oil (olive, coconut, argan etc..) of your choice after the leave in conditioner to lock in the moisture.

Good luck.

I have very bad psoriasis that now covers my entire scalp. I'm 21 and I've had it since my first year of high school. Anything on my main wish list that is psoriasis related would be very helpful. Having this problem is very embarrassing and rather painful and itchy. It's so out of control that is starting to spread to my eyebrows and in many places is almost to the point of bleeding. I have yet to find a shampoo or medicine that works but I'm told that tea tree shampoo is supposed to help. Thank you for this wonderful contest. You're a very kind person. <3

You'd probably get more benefit from stem since it is specifically for thinning and increases the amount of hair in a area vs minoxidil which is more for regrowing on bald spots. But you can use both together.

L'oreal Total Repair 5 balm. I only use it on my ends (oily roots) and it makes my hair so soft and shiny.

It's a ceramide based mask which really helps my highlighted, blonde, curly hair. Loreal Total Repair Damage Erasing mask.

I've used the Aphogee two step treatment on very damaged hair and liked the results. I keep my hair nice and soft with the Elvive hair mask and reduce breakage / additional damage from daily activities with the Redken PH Bonder. I used to use Olaplex No. 3 but I found similar results with the Redken for my hair so I'm happy with it. Additionally, I use the Chi keratin protein spray daily, just a mist around my hair and a little fluffing to let it penetrate the underside.

Ugh I get this too. When I went on spironolactone, it went away completely. But I got off it to try to get pregnant so it's back in full swing. I started using tea tree oil shampoo that really helps and try to keep hair products off my scalp. I notice it gets worse after I use dry shampoo a few days in a row.

Heres the shampoo I use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0099EHM86/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1541287214&sr=8-5&keywords=tea+tree+shampoo&dpPl=1&dpID=510oTFKx5BL&ref=plSrch
