Omg I have the perfect one for this!!

A deep waver I've been wanting to try out on my hair for forever! Although I guess the price has changed since I added it to my wish list...if I get picked in the raffle, can I win a gift card for that amount?

Or if that doesn't count, double lash serum.

Thanks for the contest love :)

For years I used my roomie's chi. When we finally moved away from each other I was on the hunt for a cheap iron that could put me through until I could afford a chi. I bought this one and have ended up liking it more than the chi.

It gets just as hot, but has adjustable heat, same build quality, is better insulated than the unit my roomie had. Digital display and reasonably good locking mechanism, my hair never gets snagged. I don't think that I'm going to be upgrading any time soon :)

Thanks I just curled it with my Bed Head wand. I feel like it gives the perfect waves. This is the wand I use. http://www.amazon.com/Bed-Head-BH311-Raspberry-Conical/dp/B007ISRNCA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1407067443&sr=8-3&keywords=bed+head+wand I like any wand that isn't uniform in size because then each curl will be different and look more natural.

Maybe try a better straightener. The best one I've ever used is this one from Tool Science. I've had mine for about 7 years now and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It leaves my hair nice and silky straight without making it crunchy like Chi irons do

u/meowgusta · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

I have really thick, curly hair. When I used to straighten it I used a sedu (this one: http://www.amazon.com/Sedu-SU-150A-Ionic-Ceramic-Flat/dp/B000GFCRGO). Super awesome, worked great.

Hot Tools honestly work really well! This gold line is the "professional" line, is affordable, and a ton of stylists (myself included) use them and they're great! The one I linked to is a 1", which is the average size most people use/need. I'd recommend a 1" if the 1.5" was too large for you!

i have a brush that I got from Sallys Beauty a few years ago that is basically two brushes together that you use like you would a hair straightener. I use it as i am drying my hair straight. Its amazing.

Don't go shopping for makeup this weekend!! Set up an appointment to get your makeup done at a counter at your local department store. Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier are both great choices. If you plan on buying makeup you might as well get them to put it on you first!

This is a great and not very expensive curling iron!

> moisture therapy irons.

This is the first time I've heard of this. Is it something like this?https://www.amazon.com/Therapy-Moisture-Boosting-Jose-Eber/dp/B0091JMLF8

BTW, I'm currently living in Japan so if you know a Jpn brand for this tool I'd love your recommendation! My hair needs more love

u/HeroboT · 2 pointsr/BHOPorn

I feel like I get pretty close to that, I use this straightener, bought mine at Walmart, and this 600lb bar clamp from home depot.

I usually put the straighter at the lowest setting (310F) and then shut it off and wait about 15 seconds, then squeeze it as hard as I can with the clamp and wait til I don't hear anymore sizzling. Then I'll take 2 pressed chips and press them together at 310 or 330 without turning the iron off.

I've been using it for around a month and one of the plates on the straightener kinda collapsed into the body but it still works fine.

I also seem to get the best yield if I prepare a nug by putting it into a mason jar with a little piece of wet paper towel for a few hours to get the nug really moist. But sometimes I just want a dab so I do it with the dry bud and it still works fine.

I got this heat comb/brush thing on Amazon and I love it. I have never been good at using a flat iron, but this thing is so much easier and the result is not stick straight hair, but just smoother hair.

Between this and a good expensive hair dryer that drys super fast, this cut down my styling time by 20-30 minutes at least!

It was cheaper when I bought it, but I would buy it again at this price. It’s worth it!

I like Remington as a brand, but my 3/4 wand is a drugstore own brand which they don't make anymore!
https://www.amazon.com/Pro-Beauty-Tools-Professional-Curling/dp/B004W2OQCA This one has good reviews on amazon, and the woman in the comments has hair which looks like what you're going for!

u/Archeia · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I actually have long hair, THICK, curly hair, and it still works wonders!!
Comb I love it XD

u/aprilynn · 2 pointsr/FancyFollicles

Thank you! And I believe I use a 1 1/2 in round. I use a really crappy old one I'm not sure of the brand its like completely coated in hair products old…I actually need to get a new one soon. But when I'm at my parents I use my mom's Conair iron minus the wand that she got on sale at mejier for like $20 and it works great! When I use that one I feel my hair is much more sleek if that makes sense. As long as it gets hot that's all that matters :]

u/nlangenderfer · 1 pointr/ProductTesting

I had a seller reach out to me e-mail direct and I reviewed this one - https://www.amazon.com/KINGDOMCARES-Straightener-Straightening-Anti-Static-Straighteners/dp/B01G1F7FQY/ref=sr_1_296?ie=UTF8&qid=1473010902&sr=8-296&keywords=hair+straightener

Very nice and did the trick for my hair plus heats up super quick.

They offered it for $5 after the code.

If this would be a style you are looking for let me know and I can pm their e-mail :)

u/stepg · 1 pointr/femalehairadvice

I highly recommend getting this CHI flat iron! I have ridiculously thick, long hair and I used it all the time in Europe. It works just as fantastic as my normal CHI and I love how it's compact for travel!

u/krustykooch · 11 pointsr/malehairadvice

I use a 1-inch flat iron and 3/4-inch curling iron for these styles every morning because otherwise my asian hair would just be flat, stiff, and straight.

If you guys who also have a two-block have any styling questions I’d be glad to help you out :)

edit: I ask my hairdresser for a soft two-block (with #2 all around the sides and back) and for straight/blunt bangs up to my eyebrows.

I like my cheap iron.
Remington 1" Flat Iron with Pearl Ceramic Technology and Digital Controls, S9500 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003V249L0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_viNNAbPVBYGAS

I had the 2 inch version of this, loved it when I had long hair. Cut my hair shorter & needed a one inch iron. Husband got me a chi, didn't like the Chi as much even though it was a $100 iron. The temp wasn't adjustable, and my least favorite thing was the Chi has no auto shutoff. I was always worried about if I left it on and left the house. I like that the Remington has 60 minute auto shut off and I have peace of mind that even if I did leave it on, it won't be on all day. Got the 1 inch version. Use it more than my Chi.
