I bought it and it has been one of the best purchases I've ever made. It has steel straps that can't be cut and I can carry so much stuff in it. Easily, 2 full water bottles, my wallet, money, phone, keys, junk.
It's deceptively roomy inside. I use it every day even if I'm not traveling.
but I think the best and most obvious advice is to just be cautious. My husband and I had zero problems with pickpockets or anything like that when we were in Europe in December. You see a lot of train scams in Paris, so don't fall for those and WATCH THE KIDS...they're notorious for making off with things while trying to distract you on the trains.
