It is a fascinating subject for me, too.I know the symptoms of common ailments like hay fever can be treated with off the shelf meds, but it would be nice to be able to eliminate it entirely.

I understand your fear of developing antibiotic resistance. However, it is possible that your Dr. may be prescribing antibiotics because of infection indicators in your blood test, such as white blood cell counts. You need to know what those indicators are, and how they change over time. I do hope you are not going through multiple courses of antibiotics. As this doctor relates, they can be detrimental to our normally self-regulating bodies.

The deeper one gets into homeopathy, the more one comes to appreciate and honor that self-regulating ability. Part of that honoring is making our medical doctors be really clear about why we are put on any particular course of treatment, and following up with research on any prescription drugs we are given, to learn about side effects.

And continuing to learn more about what homeopathy has to offer that works for us!

One of the best books for a beginner is Homeopathic Medicine at Home by Heimlich and Panos.

im gonna go on a limb here and not give you financial advice but healthcare advice. ultimately this little information could save you alot more money than you think.
your auto immune disease is most likely a culprit of three things. your diet, you exercising and your mental well being. i highly recommend that you pick up this book asap.

I used to always get sick, miss work, miss school, assignments. But now, I never get sick, I mean never, maybe 24 hour symptoms tops. I travel very frequently, always outdoors or in public as I frequent shows and what not. I never get a flu shot and never get the flu. Its a waste and will never target every strain. Read the book Never Be Sick Again. You are smart, you are in college, now study how to be a strong human with a super human immune system. Healthy lifestyles do not end with avoiding germs. You can't avoid germs. Its about building your immune system to the point it can fight off germs with ease.

EDIT: Downvotes? For health knowledge? Zero responses? College doesn't work for everyone I guess.

Very neat article! It is actually medical astrology that I’m particularly interested in!

I read Dr. George W. Carey and Inez Eudora Perry’s book the the Zodiac and Salts of Salvation .

I have been really intrigued by the subject ever since. It is based on Dr. Scheussler’s biochemic system of homeopathy with cell/tissue salts.

Check out Victorian Pharmacy.

This book has some sweet photos as well as actual recipes and remedies with a breakdown of what's what in a Victorian-era apothecary.

I don't know how my answer did not address your claims.

If there is a Set A proven not to work, any subset of that set is also proven not to work. Therefore no element of the subset should exist on the market.

If any element of the subset exists on the market, then your contention that the market will take care of products that don't work is false.

I think you would agree that education is a product.

http://www.nyhomeopathy.com/ is a homeopathy school that has existed since 1990

Here is a listing of a book published in 1981, and which has glowing reviews

>“There is 50 years of data that says tobacco use is bad.”

There is an even longer history of iatrogenic disease (long before the current pharma-disease-mongering trends).

And plenty of studies indicate it is (still) a FAR more deadly phenom than even tobacco... its either THE leading cause of premature death, or it is a close second or third (depending on which study you look at -- here's an interesting one).

Cf "Death by Medicine" essay and the larger book version as well as other books, often by doctors & surgeons themselves, like "Doctors Are More Harmful Than Germs: How Surgery Can Be Hazardous to Your Health - And What to Do About It" by Harvey Bigelsen M.D.

Don't always believe the CDC, do your own research. A good book to read The Peanut Allergy Epidemic.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/163220357X/?tag=thethimomre08-20

I'm just saying, do your own research. Facts don't lie. There is a bond between the use of food oils in vaccines and allergies caused by those vaccines. Of course the CDC says it's not in there, why would they want to be known to have caused so many injuries from vaccines. The same organization that doesn't want CBD oil used because the billion dollar pharm industry would be hurt by it.

Once again, do your research. Form your own thoughts. Make your own decisions. Ask questions. Do what is right for you. Open up your opinions. Maybe you will uncover some things you didn't know.

>I just showed you some evidence. I talked about Esselstyn's book

Talking about a book is not showing me evidence.

Hey look at this book! Boo hoo. What do you mean you're dismissing it you didn't read it!!!! Boo Hoo, I'm a sad panda who doesn't understand science and the need for double-blind randomized trials.

>Go take a look at the 99.999% of people in a similar condition who were told that there was literally nothing that modern medicine could do to treat their heart disease and are now dead. The people in this study literally all had multiple heart attacks, some had multiple stents, bypass surgeries, etc.

Source? Seriously, I'd like to see the source that 99.999% of in similar condition fit the description you've given me. And stop using "literally" as an emphasis. It's literally the wrong way to use that word.

>No one is saying that eating food will treat a viral infection in the same way that anti-viral drugs will, but that's the type of straw man that you keep babbling about.

"we don't necessarily have to run to conventional medicine for non-severe, non-emergency situations. Instead, do your research, and run to your local grocer."

Really, though, you're not very good at this. At least have an understanding of the issue that is being discussed before you decide to white knight pseudo-science.

I've got a possible cure for you, but, it's kind of a complete pain in the ass.

Strict organic paleo diet, sunlight, no drugs / weed / alcohol. High on life, no bullshit.

I'd imagine most of your energy comes from carbs (vs fats / proteins), and these carbs are from wheat/dairy/soy/grain/processed food with their anti-nutrients plus added pesticides, preservatives, and GMO toxins.

Took me about 3 months to switch fuels and go into ketosis. Feels good.

The books would be A B. I have them both in pdf if you're interested.
