honestly its mostly about aesthetics. do you have a spare PC power supply in your home?

you can create a test bed and then if everything works out, move it into an enclosure purley for aesthetics. message me if you need help.

another 2 options ive thought of is

a) go with seperate everything.
seperate amp, seperate speakers, seperate CD player, and an SD capable MP3 player. it'll be a bit messy but it will work.

b) second is this Grace Digital system:

then, add an inexepnsive DVD player to the aux input.

and you've got alot more features to boot.

Not exactly what you want, but it has optical out, DLNA, USB, RCA out, and plays a ton of internet radio. It also has an android app and you could use a UPnP or DLNA app to stream songs from your device.
