It's definitely still going to be like Christmas! Lol. One of my packages arrives tomorrow and the rest come on Friday and Saturday. Gonna be an exciting weekend :) And here's a pretty good example of what the stand-up pouches look like-> ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C5K0NUO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_8b4pybGJ0YED3 ) A lot of vendors use similar ones, but with their logos on them. Usually, you have to order the pouches in bulk of like 100, but I luckily found a website that will sell a max of 5 individual bags. I actually ordered some for OP of this thread about a month ago, as a gift for him helping me out.

Ok, so I am a huge fan of cleanliness and organization. I have trouble keeping the refrigerator/pantry in order. I love containers like this that keep things easy to find and store. I literally get excited at the prospect of baskets and bins. I am so lame.

Butts are super funny!

u/verdantarcher Ā· 1 pointr/MealPrepSunday

I have limited cabinet space too and found that shelf racks like this are a great way to add extra space.

Hanging storage solutions are helpful too, like this towel rack and storage bin. I also like to hang infrequently used cooking utensils on the back of my cabinets with command hooks.

Good luck in your new place!

u/Kendallsan Ā· 3 pointsr/organization

i've been using random amazon boxes that fit well. eventually i will decorate them but for now it's fine.

also there are TONS of containers like these and these on amazon, target, etc.

if you get creative it's easy to find what you need.

Check out this cap maker we got recently:

https://www.amazon.com/Dailyloop-Plates-Holder-Filler-Gelatin/dp/B07BKPBH48/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1541972996&sr=8-19&keywords=capsule+maker

Instead of putting the caps in individually you just throw them in, shake the thing, correct the few that go in upside down (which is pretty easy) and then add powder - it does 100 caps in about 5-10 minutes. It's the best one we've tried by far, really happy with it. Just bought my mom one for all the nutritional caps she likes to make. It's a 000, so quite large caps, but you don't have to pack them so tight and I feel that makes it work better, it seems to absorb better.

Not an exact rec but I'm on the lookout too. I've seen some small vanity mirrors at TJ Maxx and Burlington (2-3 inches with cat ears if you like that). My coworkers used desk mirrors to see who's coming up behind them, and although big, they looked pretty inconspicuous and fit with the other office desk supplies: they used ones like example 1 and example 2.

u/sehrgut Ā· 3 pointsr/tea

I'd recommend to get her something tea-related, rather than actual tea. It's always iffy getting someone something they're guaranteed to have strong opinions about. Maybe some nice tea canisters (1, 2, 3, 4) if she drinks loose tea, or a tea chest if she mostly uses tea bags?

The problem with asking us is we're likely to try steering you towards the ever-more-involved and obsessive brewing methods and fine teas we enjoy, which may or may not be what she likes. :-)

Thank you!

Jars I love this shape - they all nest together so well.

Labels with marker

I have the most horrific handwriting...I spent ages writing those out trying to make them look pretty (like seriously it took so long). Pro-tip. A spritz of alcohol will let you wipe off the chalk pen if you screw up :)

I also learned to make sure the lids were on the jars and the jars oriented how they would sit in the drawer before affixing the label. Thatā€™s the only way to make sure theyā€™re all straight. And I learned that the way the jars are threaded allow for more than one closed position on the lid. I have to pay attention when Iā€™m screwing on the lid on to make sure itā€™s facing the right way.

I've found this and this to be helpful on the shelves where it's difficult to see what might be behind the things in front.

I tend to use a lot of rectangular Lock & Lock containers. They stack up easy on the other shelves.

I got myself one of these with some of my Christmas money--and not only is it really smell-proof, but it looks great, too! I highly recommend it for all the stoner girls out there. https://www.amazon.com/HarperLynn-Formline-Smell-Proof-Bag/dp/B07FYY3DCW

Thanks! It's actually meant to be an organizer that hangs on kitchen cabinets, like this . I got it at the grocery store in the kitchen organization section. :) It works really well for hay!

u/grooviegurl Ā· 2 pointsr/organization

There is a lot of vertical space that you aren't using very well. I'd start by getting something like this and then utilizing the added surface for small containers or long, flat produce.

Fresh produce like asparagus, carrots, and celery can be cut and stored upright in deli containers. That set might also be useful for your food prep and being able to stack your storage containers to use vertical space better.

We have a set of organizers similar to these which are useful for using all of the deep space without losing any food to The Void. We use the large storage box for condiments; it's sturdy enough to pull all the way out, and condiments hardly ever go bad in comparison to the rest of our food.

Something like this should do the trick-

mDesign Kitchen Cabinet and Pantry Storage Organizer Bins - Pack of 4, Shallow, Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XH9FNH1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1upnDbHGGSM6A

HOWEVER there a million different brands/sizes/lengths/configurations you could do. These are honestly a little expensive in my opinion- in the US I find these things for way cheap at Ross or Homegoods.

My mom has a ton of food storage/meal prep stuff and she found little circle-shaped organizers that spin like a lazy Susan for your pantry. Thatā€™s a good option if you have limited storage space, but for my set up the trays work just fine.

I find that a variety of trays/baskets/boxes are good around the house for general storage and sweeping messes into at a momentā€™s notice.

Yeah they're chalkboard stickers. My wife got them on amazon. Not sure if this is the exact one she ordered but it looks just like it.

72 Round Chalkboard Mason Jar Lid Canning Labels for Food Storage, Pantry, Spice Jars & Freezer! Waterproof Black Vinyl Chalkboard Stickers are Ideal for Chalk Markers (2.5 Inches Wide) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VQRFD8U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_v4Y-yb2X18HX4

Pack them away in storage containers (the kind you get at Homac or other DIY stores, and include dessicant -- if you are not afraid of them being tipped over (ie: earthquake-proof them), then you could put in the big humidity sucker thing. It's made for closets, but I think you'd feel more safe by putting them in a semi-sealed thing like these storage containers.

Here's a link to the humidity suckers: the brand I know is mizu-tori zou-san. https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E6%B0%B4%E3%81%A8%E3%82%8A%E3%81%9E%E3%81%86%E3%81%95%E3%82%93-%E3%82%AA%E3%82%AB%E3%83%A2%E3%83%88-550mlx12%E5%80%8B%E3%82%BB%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%EF%BC%883%E5%80%8B%E3%83%91%E3%83%83%E3%82%AFx4%EF%BC%89/dp/B0093W80QW

For your very important papers, you might consider a large tupperware container that actually seals.

Be sure you clean the apartment and try to get it mold-free before you leave. If there's nothing to grow, there won't be so much from "immigrant mold colonies".

u/Zombie_Lover Ā· 3 pointsr/Favors

I really want a Spiral Slicer because I really want to make home made Twister Dogs. I have never had one but damn that looks so unhealthy it is awesome. Not to mention home made curly fries. Being of Scottish lineage, I am in need of more tools to make fried foods with. Thank you for your consideration...

u/AgentDib Ā· 2 pointsr/boardgames

I got them off Amazon a few years back, I believe the medium model of [this](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053ES352/ref=oh_aui_sear ch_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Spray painted them to match the Kallax and bent the legs a little with some wire pliers to make the fit less snug.

I have something like this: Smart Design Kitchen Storage Shelf Rack w/ Scratch Resistant Feet - Medium - Steel - Rust Resistant Finish - for Cups, Dishes, Cabinet & Pantry Organization - Kitchen (13.25 x 6 Inch) [White] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0053ES352/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_H8RODb5DRCARH

u/numanoid Ā· 1 pointr/Whatisthis

It doesn't create "slices", per se, it creates a spiral slice. https://www.amazon.com/HIC-Harold-Co-4404-HIC-Vegetable/dp/B001BDRRSS

u/JimmerUK Ā· 6 pointsr/GifRecipes

You can get one of these for a fiver that does the same job.
