Oh bananas!!! You're so freaking sweet!!! I'm so happy you chatted with all of us last night, it was so fun!

Here are my go to's in my collection (Also, all Korean cosmetic links are to BeautynetKorea (where the shipping is free) or RoseRoseShop (where it's cheap), and all others are from Amazon. But shop around before ordering just in case!):

  • Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever primer OR Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer - Both primers are wonderful and really help even out my skin tone! I feel that Etude House minimizes my pores better, but the Too Faced primer is pigmented, so it offers more coverage. Both are matte when you put them on!

  • Nature Republic's By Flower BB Cream - I LOVE THIS STUFF. Hands down it's my Holy Grail BB. It was a perfect color match for me, evened out my skin tone, and didn't melt away during the day! It had some great staying power and smelled nice and light as well. I have an oily t-zone, and it really stayed quite nicely compared to my other makeup! For reference, I used shade 2 for mine, and I'm an N5 in MAC Studio Fix powder.

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay powder blush in Dollface OR MAC powder blush in Fleur Power - Both of these blushes are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES. They're both kind of pinky colors, with Dollface being more of a "Barbie pink" with blue undertones, and Fleur Power a bit more "dusty rose". They both go on so naturally and beautiful, and have wonderful saying power. (Though be careful with Tarte's, if you have a heavy hand it might go on waaay too much, haha!)

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder - This is my holy grail item, no question about it. This powder really mattifies my oily face and helps my makeup last so much longer before the first signs of shine appear. I can even dust it on halfway through the day to re-mattify everything!

  • Covergirl Lineblast 24 hour liquid eyeliner - This is my favorite liquid liner I've tried! The applicator is nice and small, so it's easy to maneuver and SO much easier to make winged liner than a brush. It stays all day long, too!

  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara - This mascara makes my lashes stand out, look natural, and it helps keep the volume all day as well!

  • Tonymoly Petit Bunny Gloss Bar in Neon Orange - The bar is nice and lightly orange scented, and adds just enough orange tint to your lips to make them pop! On me personally, the orange kind of mixes with my natural lip color and gives them more of a natural coral color.

  • MAC lipstick in Mocha - This is my "perfect for every outfit" lipstick. It looks great when I dress up, and can give more of a polished look for my day to day as well!

  • Tarte Matte Lipsurgence in Exposed - It's a very similar color to MAC Mocha, but this has a matte finish! Plus is makes my lips tingly and almost minty when I put it on!

  • NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red - Straight up, this is my perfect red. It has cooler/ more blue undertones than most other reds I've tried, and it looks absolutely beautiful!

  • Nivea Lip Butter - I wear this stuff religiously when I go to bed, it's perfect for moisturizing my lips at night so they're soft the next day! Also, it gives a cute shine if I don't feel like wearing any colored lip product during the day.

Shoot, I hope that wasn't too much, I just have a lot of favorites!! xD

Holy. Shit. Everything about your line is AWESOME! The names. The colors. HOW DO I CHOOSE!?

  1. Maybe I'm being super simple but my everyday beauty "tool" is EOS Lipgloss. It keeps my lips hydrated and smooth, it smells/tastes delicious, and I am never without it.
  2. This is seriously a DILEMMA. I have SO many I like. Ughhhh... I'm going to go with "I'm Not a Doctor, I'm a Cosmetologist". Or "Protoplanetary Disco". I seriously can't decide, so surprise me.
  3. In the course of the next year I just want to continue losing weight. It's a difficult goal because of my medical conditions, but I'm at least committed to losing 10 pounds. If I lose more, awesome, but anything is better than nothing. I'm doing well on my diet and have been for the last 6 months, but I'm also trying to do more now with it to make it even better.

Poppin bottles! I'm a nail polishaholic. It's a problem. You make BEAUTIFUL polishes. Thanks for the opportunity!!

**Skin type and skin concerns:**

Main concerns: Dryness, acne (cystic and general acne all over chin and cheeks), and splotchy discoloration all over my face (my dermatologist said it was melasma). My skin is consistently congested and breaking out, yet my entire face is sensitive, dull, itchy and flakey. After years of reading tips here, I've finally gotten to the point where redness and the majority of flaking is gone and products don't burn when they touch me, but my skin remains dull and feels tight.

While the products I've selected are relatively affordable, they add up. Plus I'm worried I'm doing more damage than good by overwhelming my skin with all these product. Mostly though, I'm so jealous of all your minimalist routines I see on here, and I want to create one that would work for me. I don't know where to start. What are your thoughts?

  25. Once a week, spot treat acne problem areas with Proactiv Skin Purifying Mask

    **Daily behaviors possibly impacting skin:**

My diet is crap. While I don't eat a lot of processed food, I eat too much sugar, too much oily and fatty foods, too much red meat and not enough vegetables. Because of my family, it's going to be difficult to make adjustments, and honestly I'm not sure where to start. Caffeine consumption is pretty high, while I only have the occasional coffee, I drink a TON of green tea and oolong tea. Water intake is fair, and I usually refill my 32oz water bottle 2 times a day (yes, I have to run to the bathroom at least every 30 minutes). I pretty much stopped wearing makeup a little over a year ago, now I only wear for special occasions and the occasional eye liner.
u/mochugo · 3 pointsr/muacjdiscussion

I looked up nipple creams and most look pretty normal unless you look closely (then they usually have something like "for nipples and dry skin"). Anyway, you could get just one Lanolips at Ulta with the 20% off, but the plain Superbalm one is out of stock, and I feel like the other ones might be risky for you since they've got different things like cocoa butter and essential oils. Nordstrom has the Superbalm for $17 (free shipping), JCrew has it for $17 (plus $5 flat shipping) but you can get 15% off with an email signup code, QVC has it for $16.95 (plus $3 shipping) but you can get $5 off with your first purchase with the code FIVE4U, and if you're wanting your balm fast Amazon has it for $22.99 with Prime. I've got a Prime membership I'd be happy to share with you if you don't have it and want to try the balm quickly:)

I also tried to find pure lanolin balms since Lanolips isn't exactly cheap, but the vast majority have other ingredients like shea butter, beeswax, jojoba oil, etc. Those all sound very nice, but I'm assuming the point of trying Lanolips is the fact that it's pure lanolin, so those balms probably aren't right for you. I did find one product that's 100% pure anhydrous (idk what the significance of that is, but they made a point of it) lanolin balm. They've got it in both tube and tub form but I figured you'd prefer the convenience of tube - you can get four tubes for $9.80 plus $3.95 shipping through Amazon here. I couldn't find just one tube though, they only do four at a time:/

u/Maggieneato · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

This would be a better question for r/skincareaddiction, but since I experienced extremely dry skin while on Accutane, I'll tell you what helped me. I think it's very important, if you're taking a medication that dries your skin out, to make sure your skin is hydrated during the day and even more hydrated at night. I used a bunch of different lip balms (mostly Aquaphor, which was pretty good). The untinted Fresh Sugar lip treatment was my favorite, but it's pricey. What really helped me was the Neosporin Overnight lip renewal protectant. But the main ingredient is petrolatum, so I'm pretty sure Vaseline would be equally effective. I not only put it on my lips, but I dabbed a little extra in and on the corners of my mouth because the skin there can crack and become very painful if it gets too dry. It looks gross, but it will provide some relief so you'll feel a little better in the morning.

u/TheThirstyWitch · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

This is so great OP! Thanks for sharing - I love camping, traveling, whatever and it definitely takes a toll on your skin + you're limited to such a small amount of liquids for planes as well...

Does anybody know the pros + cons of Vaseline vs. Lanolin? I've read they're pretty comparable in terms of what they're meant to do for your skin (occlusive, protects, moisturizes).

I've tried regular Vaseline before and it's pretty greasy, makes my face shine like it's been polished, easy to wipe off by accident. Then recently I tried this expensive tiny little bottle of Dr Lipp Nipple Balm (which is primarily lanolin) and that proved pretty sticky (like nearly adhesive-level sticky) and uncomfortable...

u/Llygoden_Bach · 7 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

No, you can definitely go with just the basics. I'd even wager that's how most of us got started! I know that was the case for me; it began with just some Bare Minerals face powder I had a gift card for, then what the heck let's try eyeliner, then boom fast forward ten years and here I am with a whole "battle station" full of beauty products. But you definitely don't have to have all of that. So if you're aiming for minimal product usage, this is what I'd recommend (I'm linking to some classics I personally like):

Since it seems like one of your big concerns is evening out your skin tone, you will definitely need a BB cream or foundation (that's what the "face goo"s that even skintone are called :} ). Finding your color match is the trickiest bit, and can be kind of a trial and error process. If you can get someone to take a picture of your face, straight on, in natural light and upload it here, that'll help us help you. Powder is probably easiest to apply, although I personally think the liquids looks more natural.

Other than foundation, to get a more put together look all you probably need is mascara and tinted lip balm or lipstick. If you can stomach getting one more product, I'd recommend a nice bronzer/blush combo, because then you can use the bronzer as eyeshadow too.

All of this is available in the makeup aisle of most drugstores. You'll also find brush sets there (EcoBrush and ELF are nice and inexpensive). Another option would be to get one of those inexpensive all-in-one sets to play around with. I know they're not popular on here, because frankly the pigmentation and wear is shit compared to higher-end products, but for a beginner it's nice to have so you can figure out what you like and what you don't without having to buy tons of stuff.

Home sweet home! Welcome home. =)

Thank you for the contest!

If I were to win, I'd like to try this lip balm, please. Thank you!

u/cia1120 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

22 pages sounds like a good guess! And an impressive amount of information! Lol.

This lip balm would be nice, if I win!

Thanks for the contest!

u/Derpahontas · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I have this lip balm on my list. I need it because my lips get disgusting in the winter and this is the only stuff that works. It doesn't have a smell or a taste, so it doesn't bother me, and it goes on so smoothly and keeps my lips super soft.

I promise that I'll use the GC to gift someone else here. :)

Thanks for the contest! Sharing is caring :)

u/jepsycha · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

What a wicked fun idea!! This thing that I have needed for a berry long time...heh heh. And for when you need healthy sweets, why not this? And this is cute and sweet, which is always a great match! Thanks for hosting!

u/mymagicalbox · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

Nivea lip balm is the first lip balm I ever thoroughly used a whole tube of, then bought another. I like the blue ones the best, a kiss of smoothness and a kiss of moisture I think. The lip butters in the tins are nice too and smell really good! I recently bought a Palmer's cocoa butter lip balm on a whim from a 5 Below store and it's actually really nice! When I first opened it, it was a bit hard so it takes your body heat to warm the product up but once you use it several times it's good to go and it's really moisturizing. I'm really picky about lip balms and chapsticks! :P

u/buttercup_prncss · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

You can wear a lot of colors. I like the ones others are suggesting. There is a website that might help you find beauty bloggers who have similar coloring. Then you could look at their makeup.

http://www.savvyist.com/beauty-guru

Here are a few pinks and nudes that might work:

Maybelline Pink Me Up She actually might have similar coloring to you.

A few Maybelline swatches from a different blogger.

Revlon Colorburst Pink Truffle

Revlon Colorburst Rosy Nude

Revlon Lip Butter swatches

More Revlon Lip Butter swatches
I think a lot of these might work. Maybe Berry Smoothie or Candy Apple.

If you're open to asian beauty products, this is a tint. Etude House Cherry lip tint Red or orange might be fun.

u/hey_dummy_ · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

This is me! I recently picked up DHC Lip Cream thanks to some recommendations on subs here, and it has been a godsend. It's easy to apply, not sticky, and is really very effective. I can't recommend it enough.

u/AR_317 · 2 pointsr/beauty

On the left of the search page you can choose the seller. I usually click on AMAZON and feel like that weeds out all of these random sellers out there. Also, some beauty brands have accounts on Amazon where it shows the actual company name as the "seller" on the right of the product details page. Example - My favorite lip balm.

u/queenblackacid · 1 pointr/eczema

I've had great success with Nivea Hydro Care SPF15 during the day and Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm at night.

u/i_do_declare_eclairs · 45 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I failed to keep the mascaras I went through this year... my bad... But I always use Maybelline Lash Stiletto.

What have I learned? I should really tone down my purchases of products like eyeshadow palettes and blush palettes. It takes FOREVER to get through one. And yet I have so maaany.

I'm going to warped tour on August 3rd! Holla at being the last warped date!

I think this
is so freaking cool.

Like it's a little honey pot. Plus it has a little wooden wand to put it on. It's adorable plus I used to love winnie the pooh so yeah.

u/Belloved · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I have the same problem and recently bought the Monistat primer and Skindivia Setting Spray(which sadly I got for 19 dollars a week ago without Prime so I'm really sad it's on sale now :( ). The monistat didn't do much to control the shine but the Setting Spray did completely. I lasted a good 6 hours without blotting and no shine! Soooo happy I bought this... Try it out while it's still on sale :)

u/katieaa5 · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

I really love this one it doesn’t leave a white cast and it smells delicious (and tastes fine too)

u/reversemermaid · 2 pointsr/beauty

I also get fairly shiny/oily in the summer (and live in constant humidity in coastal South Carolina) and the best thing I've found for combating shine is a mattifying spray before primer and then a light BB cream. I use Skindinavia No More Shine spray and Smashbox Photofinish primer and follow up with Maybelline BB cream. I admit, I'm a little new to the world of mattifying sprays and BB creams so I'm sure there might be better out there that I still would need to try, but these have worked for me pretty well so far. I still get a little shiny around my nose and chin, but it's nothing a bit of blotting tissue or powder can't take care of.

u/txmoonpie1 · 0 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

I'm on bed rest right now too. I know it's not a lot of fun, so I hope you can get back to being active soon. AS for my favorite product right now, it's not very glamorous, but I needed it to able to wear any lip product. I take meds that dry out my skin and while I do drink a lot of water, my poor lips have been torn up and wouldn't heal. That is until I tried O'Keef's Lip Repair. My lips look like the before and after picture of their advertising. It's a great product. I wish they sold it in tinted shades. https://www.amazon.com/OKeeffes-Original-Lip-Repair-Stick/dp/B01HWIEGIO/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1487888327&sr=8-1&keywords=o%27keeffe%27s+lip+repair

Their lip butters in the tins are great, but for my purse I keep this, or aquaphor also makes one that's specifically for lips that's also awesome. they're not quite AB, but i haven't found anything better.

u/nessi_saltares · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This liptint on my $10 & Under list ❤ I've been wanting to try some Asian/Korean cosmetics for a while and I've heard good things about Etude House.

u/doombubble · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I want one of those EOS lipbalms to see if they're really as awesome as they are popular right now.

Elephant Barber

Always third thing!

I teach music! My personal weapon of choice is the majestic french horn.

u/inblackheels · 1 pointr/FancyFollicles

Hehe yeah, KVD ones are awesome! The lip lingerie by NYX is nicer than the others. The Lush stuff is pretty moisturizing, but goes on dry. It's kind of interesting. I used this super cute lip balm throughout the day when my lips felt dry. :D

u/Yoyochan · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I've been loving Nivea lip balm lately, and they also make versions with SPF added. I also have a chronic habit of biting and licking my lips, and when I put a thick and nourishing lip balm on like these it helps remind me not to chomp on my poor lips. These do have a slightly sweet scent and flavor to them, so that might not help you if it tempts your taste buds. :P

I also do a quick exfoliation on my lips every other day when I get out of the shower by wetting the corner of a towel and gently buffing my lips for 5-10 seconds to slough off the dead skin that softened up in the warm water - helps keep damage from peeling at bay.

u/aychexsee · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Paula's Choice Lip Screen SPF50 is pretty good. I can't have anything with fragrance or strong irritants, so it's not easy to find something that works for me.

It's not SUPER hydrating, but it is better than most lip balms/chapsticks available at the drugstore.

Aquaphor Lip Repair SPF30 works in a pinch, though. If you don't have anything else with you, and you're fiending for some lip balm.

u/babiesgettingrabies · 10 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

The Skinfood honey pot lip balm is cute. It's about $8 for the prime option.

Tony Moly also has adorable lip balms. Here's an Amazon listing that has all 5 "flavors".

It's Skin also has cute macaron shaped lip balms.

I can't really vouch for their effectiveness – I have the SkinFood one but I mostly just look at it. I mainly use aquaphor and lanolin on my lips!

u/peony_chalk · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Since nobody said it, Black Jack lip balm is hands down my HG. It's expensive for lip balm, but I feel like it's actually moisturizing and protecting my lips instead of just coating them, and it's the only SPF lip balm I've found that doesn't make my lips white or have a funky aftertaste. It is on the thicker side though -- like it's probably only a little bit thinner than Carmex, so it might not be up your alley.

u/chocolatepop · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I've had good luck with Dr. Dan's so far. Carmex, Blistex, Chapstick, and EOS were all duds for me.

u/takzhe · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I buy and love little tubs of pure lanolin from Koru Naturals on Amazon. They also have it in chapstick form.

u/madipadifofaddy · 1 pointr/Accutane

My favorite lip products keeping my lips moisturized and not crusty are the unscented O'Keeffe's Original Lip Repair during the day and Lansinoh Lanolin at night before I go to sleep.

Neosporin Overnight treatment is incredible. I used to get really chapped lips all the time, and have not had any issues for over two years thanks to this stuff. I use it at the first sign of dryness.

a month. I also got the Laneige overnight lip mask, and have been topping that off with vaseline at night.

Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. I'm naturally pale and you can literally FEEL yourself burning, even while coated in sunscreen.

I've found it's way easier to keep up with the necessary water intake by buying a lot of La Croixs. They're a godsend.

I'm two months in and my face is finally clearing up. My first month was pretty much hell, and it started clearing up about a week ago. It's weird, because I was breaking out a lot, but even still my face still seemed more even toned than before? I don't know, it's weird.

I think that this chapstick would be ever so useful for me to keep my lips hydrated and soft! Plus it's <$3 with free shipping!

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water: $22.99 - Lasts me ~3 months

Cereve Hydrating Cleanser $12.39

Thayer's Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Toner: $6.99 - Lasts me ~4 months

TruSkin Vitamin C Serum: $19.99 - Lasts me ~4 months

Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer SPF 15: $8.11 - Lasts me ~5 months

Simple Quench Sleeping Cream: $9.96

The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%: $7.90

Jack Black Lip Balm: $7.50

I'm sure there's variations in price based on where you get it and if amazon is having sales/add ons etc. Total is about $110 if you went out and bought all the products at once or roughly $20 a month. Totally reasonable imo!

EDIT: Bad math, sorry, I needed to count the Micellar water twice since it doesn't last me as long as the other products. Totals are estimates.

EDIT #2: Forgot the CereVe cleanser so I added that in as well. Some of the items don't have estimated time frames of how long it takes me to use up because I've never used them up.

I use a makeup finishing spray that might work. I too have had the horror of an amazing sharpie scene that degraded into ruined clothing & sheets. :( I buy my finishing spray on amazon & it's well worth the price. I haven't personally tried it for sharpie but it works well to keep makeup in place for hours so I think it's worth a try?

This is the brand I've used, but there are tons out there!

Any recommendations for a good korean/asian lip tint? I've had my eye on this one by Etude house, but I really have no idea if it's any good!

I'm taking isotretinoin (Accutane) at the moment. My dermatologist recommended Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. It contains 1% hydrocortisone.

It's cheaper to get at Amazon than the pharmacy.

Lookie!

Get a lip balm that is 100% pure lanolin. This is a natural moisturizer derived from sheep wool that doesn't hurt the animal. But it's the most moisturizing substance available and has no scent. Some ingredients like petroleum actually cause your lips to dry and make it necessary to reapply constantly. Lanolin looks very similar to petroleum but works wonders. It's more pricey but only because you can't get a lot from each sheep wool. So lanolin is very thick and can be sticky though. You'll want to apply it at night before bed. Your lips should be soft the next day and you won't have to apply in the day time.

[This is what I'm talking about] (https://www.amazon.com/Pure-Anhydrous-Lanolin-Balm-Tubes/dp/B015M2KAG4/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1518683488&sr=8-5&keywords=lanolin+lip+balm)

I’ve found that Aquaphor and DHC Lip Cream help penetrate my lips on a deeper level, but unfortunately it doesn’t really help when I just keep ripping off the skin that heals back...

I used an overnight lip treatment every night and it helped IMMENSELY. So much that if I really wanted to I could wear matte lipstick and be okay. It's by Neosporin and you can find it at Walgreens or on Amazon.

I used this when I was on Accutane.
