Stinkybutt Axegrinder.

She's a human ranger who can drink any man under the table and piss her name in the snow with flourish. She's no great beauty, but she's striking. Especially when she's got her sword to your throat. She's not against following the rules, but only if they don't get in the way of her plans and fun. She once become mayor after getting the real mayor too drunk to function, and the townsfolk decided she did a much better job. But that became too much like work so she stole his horse, gold, and lingerie collection, shouting "Vescrean will be back" over her shoulder as she left.

I'd like this.

Matt Frank is a popular artist, he illustrated a lot of Godzilla books including the Rulers of Earth series, which he co-created.

As for whether or not he'd accept a message? it's always worth a shot! He's a pretty nice dude, but can be extremely busy as you can expect, so there's never a guarantee.

Just message him and tell him you're from Reddit, planning a 1st time trip to Japan and ask if he has any "must have" locations he'd recommend. Can't hurt!

But I think the Shinjuku hotel is probably the coolest spot you could hope to visit by a long shot.

Fun fact: the scripts for the Gary 7 series were written. When the show didn't get the green light they were turned into comic books. They're pretty interesting: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Assignment-Earth-IDW/dp/1600102913

I got them as part of the star trek comic book humble bundle and I was pleasantly surprised.

If you're a fan of old Archie comics, this is worth a read! It's basically just Archie in space (even down to the boy's name)! There's a nice coffee table style book that I think collects every issue. It's standard Dan DeCarlo stuff, by which I mean it's some of the best art in comics history. I'm a huge fan of his if you can't tell haha!

I love undertaker as well. He has a graphic novel

WWE Original Graphic Novel: Undertaker https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1684152305/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_q6R8Bb8D7ZWD5

There's also the undertaker funko pop.

Original Mirage volume 1 of course. Get the Ultimate Collections. Every single one of them. Brilliant stuff.

the new Eastman/Waltz run on IDW is okay, not great, though. The micro series and various miniseries (Secret History of the Foot, Utrom Empire, Turtles in Time) related to it have been extremely good, though.

Also, Tales of the TMNT volume 2, published by Mirage by various writers and artists, is something any TMNT fan can greatly appreciate. IDW is starting to publish them in collected but I don't know how far they'll go. Also, they've collected the volume 1 Tales which is cool, too. It's the first two volumes of the Tales trades.

Dominaria has perhaps the *most* lore associated with it, given that it was the primary plane for most of Magic's history (pre-'mending'). There's a ton of books from those blocks (some are even good). I always thought the Rath and Storm anthology was the best MTG story/book money could buy, back when I was into that sort of thing. The Dark Horse graphic novel Gerrard's Quest covers the same ground and is also acceptable (and a much quicker read).

After that you can probably be forgiven for skipping the Mercadian Masques books (though I will defend the Nemesis book to my dying breath), but the 3 Invasion cycle books leading to the Apocalypse event were exciting as hell.

The Thran and Brothers War stories are worth checking out just to get the proper appreciation for Urza as a character (though the writing contained within the books aren't especially good).

This'll get you started, I suppose: https://mtg.gamepedia.com/Dominaria_(plane)

It’s a graphic novel. It’s quite rare now. I have it as well. Some have OP’s cover, some have a drawn cover. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1401223699/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qaSADb205SSS6

They go on a series of adventures, if memory serves. I believe something involving a maximum security prison or something, you could tell they had a lot of fun with it.

Make sure you pick up the Dave Stevens comics. The movis is good, the comics are better,

The guidebook helped me a lot to understand the background of the world. It's possible the wikis and other areas have this same information, but I thought even just reading the intro of the guidebook made a huge difference for me, and it was much better organized. https://www.amazon.com/Pillars-Eternity-Guidebook-Horse-Books-ebook/dp/B00VCZPVIS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492461940&sr=8-1&keywords=pillars+of+eternity+guidebook

The comics are available from IDW, Amazon, or eBay for physical copies, and Comixology, iTunes, and Amazon Kindle for digital copies.

There are actually several comic series: Friendship is Magic is the "main" one, Friends Forever focuses on putting two characters together and having them do stuff (Spike & Celestia, Shining & Blueblood, etc), and the (now-ended) Micro Series just showcases one character at a time.

u/BockerKnocker · 1 pointr/gijoe

What's been great is my two boys are getting into these comics, and they hold up well.

You can buy various collections of comics (like this https://www.amazon.com/G-I-Joe-Classics-Vol-1-ebook/dp/B00939OLRC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1509720049&sr=8-1&keywords=classic+gi+joe+vol+1) and they're pretty good for kids. Now, you don't get the original advertisements, but still. They're very readable this way. (We have paper, not Kindle versions)

u/berktree · 4 pointsr/stevenuniverse

The original run of comics (by Jeremy Sorese and Coleman Engle) ran for 8 issues. They are compiled in these TPBs: Vol 1 Vol 2

There was also a Greg Universe one-shot in the same series (probably my favorite of all the comics). That's available here

The more recent series, Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems, ran for 4 issues. They aren't available in a volume yet, only individual issues. Issue 1 is here, and this is the upcoming paperback.

There's also a standalone graphic novel.

u/protossFTW · 2 pointsr/SquaredCircle

Yeah, volume 1, vol 2 and vol 3 are available on Amazon. Each one focuses on a different member of the Shield.

u/savedavenger · 2 pointsr/gijoe

https://www.amazon.com/G-I-Joe-COBRA-Serpents-Coil/dp/1600108806

There's the trade. Cobra Civil War and Cobra Command build on the events of The Last Laugh. They are good, although they drag a bit at times.

After that, Mike Costa did more Cobra issues that focus on a new cast. These too, are good.

IDW Gijoe isn't always easy to read, but it is worth it.

u/Braveryedoryu214 · 0 pointsr/thedivision

And you can read the new one for the division 2 Broken Dawn when it releases March 26th.

EDIT: Extremis Malis part 1 & part 2 (2/13/19) comics are out now as well.

Part 3 comes out March 13th, 2019.

u/Phonzosaurus · 2 pointsr/TMNT

The [secret history of the foot clan] (http://www.amazon.com/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-History/dp/1613776098) was also really cool.

u/joelschlosberg · 18 pointsr/RetroFuturism

There's also a book compiling the issues and a bunch of extra material.

u/Ploddit · 3 pointsr/projecteternity

Which versions of the games did you buy? You might have PDF copies of the guide books vol 1 and vol 2.

Look in your game install folder for extras.

u/stevebobeeve · 3 pointsr/DaystromInstitute

Well slap my ass and call me Shirley!
