Rice will work just fine, but it may not be a bad idea to keep Sillica Gel somewhere around the house. Throw that in a ziplock bag with whatever you want dry; works great on watery phones and Famicoms. Plus, you can reuse these by drying the gel in an oven.

They come in a couple of sizes, are rechargeable (pop them in the oven for a couple of hours). A little expensive but they are very convenient compared to loose dessicant and cloth bags.
Get a desiccant pack or two for those sealed cases. Wet climates and water-tight cases can lead to ruined tools just from high humidity when the case was closed up.
