The Acer KG241Q bmiix 23.6" shows a list price of $149.99 on Amazon, then Price of $116.80, then "With Deal" for $104.99. Yet on the Acer website they're showing a price of $99.99, with Amazon being the only merchant that sells it.

How does that make any sense?

I don't really see any decent deals in my range except that $90 monitor from Acer with 1ms.
This another one is not Primeday sale one, but what are you guys opinion on this 1440p monitor from Acer?
I am little hesitant about buying the $90 one because I feel like it would be underusing my GPU.

Only 75Hz, but I don't think there are any 144Hz monitors for that price at the moment.

I bought this one a couple of months ago and it has been great for me. Also it's on sale right now if you have prime although I'm not sure if that applies to you since you're in Australia. Bonus points for this one since you can mount it if you want to.

This is also late, but I was also looking around for the KG241 Pbmidpx. 27 inches is too big for my desk to do a dual monitor setup, which is the only one they have on Amazon. I do have this monitor though, "https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XYGQBY2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1" and it works perfectly fine. It is just the 75hz version of the 144hz, and a little bit smaller.

I saw this, but am leaning more towards this. Has a lot of the same specs. Worth a look for those considering this one.

I found a pretty good looking monitor on Amazon although it's not IPS. Biggest and Cheapest 1ms 75Hz Freesync monitor I could find

u/dukegang · 1 pointr/buildapc

I bought this monitor on Amazon Prime Day (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XYGQBY2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_zGVlHF4FMeRbU) and shortly after the price dropped again. I tried to cancel the first purchase and rebuy the monitor at the second discount, however Amazon said I could not cancel my purchase since it shipped already. Fast forward to today, I just received the monitor and my refund!

What should I do?

This one is a good deal. You probably won’t find a 144hz monitor in your price range but this one has 1ms response time which is good for gaming and it also has free sync.

Ah, I misunderstood your original post. I thought you already had a system in mind to purchase and only needed advice on the monitor/monitors.

If you have Prime and can stretch your tower budget a bit, this isn't a horrible deal. Similarly, this one is stronger, but greatly eats into your monitor budget.

For monitors, you're looking at:

1 - Basic 1080p 60Hz monitor. Only real negative to it is the port options (VGA or DVI only).

2 - Refurbished, but alright.

3 - IPS panel, so better color accuracy than the others.

4 - Larger and has Freesync (75Hz refresh rate).

EDIT: Just reread your original post and noticed you specified LCD for the monitor type. Is that a 100% must-have or is LED okay too? I'll need to revise my monitor list if it's a must-have.

I'm just adding a second monitor to my laptop. The laptop is technically a gaming laptop with an AMD GPU, but while I might do some light rocket league here and there, I don't game much. I'm mostly looking for more workspace and a decent screen to watch movies/TV on. There are some good cyber monday deals like this Acer Gaming Monitor or this Dell 27 inch, but I don't know if I necessarily need 27 inches or gaming capabilities.

Any monitor recommendations under < $100?

No, it's only 60hz.

  1. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07CYJ47JB - best if you can afford it. It has freesync as well, which is great as you have Vega GPU. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFaktO_lJ6g

    Other options:

  2. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B06XDY3SJF - same as above but no freesync
  3. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B06XYGQBY2 - same but no freesync

See if you can find these for cheaper somewhere or even if you can find other monitors with same specs. These are best i could find.
