Mom guilt is a total real thing. Don't beat yourself up over things that aren't in your control. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 28 weeks, and then my daughter got diagnosed with IUGR at 36 weeks. I felt so guilty my whole 3rd trimester, I made myself pretty miserable. I kept thinking that I had done something wrong and how my kid wasn't even born yet and I was already a terrible mom. It's not your fault and you are already a great mom! Just do your best.
On a lighter note, here are some things I loved and plan to use again (sorry for the length!)
Please feel free to ask any questions! We are happy to help here. :)
I got these pads for the first few days that are super heavy. I still have some left, I only needed such a heavy pad for the first week. After that I was able to use these regular sized ones. The wings are really helpful in getting everything to stay put, and also the longer ones are good for night-time when you may be moving more. You can also get these pad ice packs, they gave them to me at my hospital and I loved them, but you could also buy some more to have on hand.
We are a 20 minute drive from the hospital and husband will not leave my side, so I'd like to get everything in. I'm a notorious overpacker, too, but I'd rather have something I don't need than have not have something that I do need.

I think that covers just about everything. I used travel packing cubes to keep all of the clothing items organized, and I already had several different other travel bags that I generally use when actually leaving town, for all of the "other" items. [edited formatting]
Your parents don't seem to have much consideration. What OCD "traits" do you have?

These ones seem quite thick.
I am on the copper iud for birth control and know all too well about heavy periods. There are different kinds of overnight pads. I like the always brand super heavy overnight ones, they almost look like the big ones the hospital gives you after baby lol. But they work wonders and are really absorbent. Here's a link to what they look like on Amazon.
