I love rice, and there is a ton you can do with rice. In addition to what other people have said. Here is a short list,

  • Chicken Stock (use instead of water to cook the rice)
  • Make Rice Balls (Japanese onigiri)
  • Dried seaweed (Snacking seaweed, you can buy and bulk and generally just goes well with white rice)
  • Make Rice Porridge (also known as jook or congee, you can get tons of different preserved vegetables and goods for this)
  • Pork Floss (Depending on budget)
  • Eggs (Depending on budget)
  • Rice seasoning (Japanese Furikake)
  • Different rice variants (fried rice, jambalaya, risotto, paella, etc)
  • Small seasonings go a long way, i.e. soy sauce, garlic ginger, onions, sesame oil, pepper, chili powder,
