I totally feel for you on the "lying in bed" not sleeping. Laying there with bad thought's is not good (I experience this as well). Can't stand it.I I have to get up and read or surf the net. Do whatever exercise you can. Even 2 minutes running in place and a few situps will help over time as far as exercise goes. Owning a bicycle can change your life. I suggest not buying supplement's from walgreens. The brand and type can make a huge difference with supplements. The vitamin shoppe or amazon offer better sources. For immune system take this 2 to 3X per day and Vitamin C (500 mg 2X Day). 400 mg of Magnesium Citrate will make your shit too loose,. Thats why u/Tonaso recommended magnesim GLYCINATE. I prefer this
I dont know enough about the other supplements besides 5HTP and I dont recommend taking 5HTP for more than 2 weeks striaght and even then only take 50 mg of a good brand (NOW). Over time It can make your body think it already has enough seretonin and cause it to lower the natural output. I prefer L-tryptophan to increase serotonin. I take this about 1 hour before bed and it has helped me sleep. Melatonin 1 mg is pretty harmless and I would stick with it. L-theanine is said to be a good thing for daytime anxiety, Sam-E made me nervous. IMO. Please dont take a benzodiazepine like valium or xanax . Honestly, These drugs are the most addicting thing on the planet. NOT EXAGERRATING.
