I've had a $200 chromebook for the past 4 years and it's still going strong. I use it for emails and stuff on the go, but can also remote in to my desktop with all my big boy applications. You'd also be able to use skybox on it. Would recommend.

Asus just announced a couple Chromebooks that would be perfect for your use cases! There is also a smaller model for cheaper, but you mentioned wanting a larger screen.

people are too attached to MS office. libreoffice for linux works really well and its totally free and open source. i use libreoffice on my mac even though i have office 2019 through my msdn subscription for free
