Only way I'm aware of is to temporarily toggle F10 on a keyboard to speed through it.. adding max frameskip (f8/f9) helps as well.
'Course that means you'd have to have a keyboard attached. I keep one of these around near mine should I need it... although it seems they've raised the price from when I got one.
