I had dated wayyy too many people before my current SO and as the relationships went on, the intensity of feelings increased for each person by misunderstanding my own internal pressure and desire for something real instead of what it was. I would see the potential in people and fall in love with my own imagination rather than the reality of who they were as people.

Susan Winter has a great 30-minute audio book I recommend everyone read regardless of where they are at: https://www.amazon.com/BREAKUP-TRIAGE-Heartache-Susan-Winter-ebook/dp/B01JP60DKG

The "spark" of love isn't something you can force and it definitely exists. As cliche as it sounds, you find it when you are not looking for it. When you are the right version of yourself, the right people (romantic or not) are called to it. You attract what you are. Being an INFJ has no influence on finding love any more or less than another personality type.
