Definitely worth trying PS4 sticks, imho. You can get a set here for pretty cheap.
These are the one's I bought, they arn't exact replicas and the plastic feels a little cheaper than what is used on PS4 controllers, and I would probably buy a different set and hope they are a bit better quality

I had a similar issue. I just purchased new sticks on amazon and installed them myself. It’s pretty straightforward. Go to YouTube for a video if you’re not comfortable taking the controller apart.
