Not who you asked, but I have pretty dry skin and prefer the Canmake Mermaid UV Gel. It has the best finish of any sunscreen that I have tried and also plays well with my makeup. I've tried a few other sunscreens and they haven't compared.

Multiple SPF in nonsunscreen products don’t help, you would need to empty the bottle for it to matter. You need a stand alone sunscreen that is the highest possible. Remember wrinkles / sun spots / aging are primarily from the sun (other things play a factor, but the sun is the main way you age).
I would highly recommend Asian sunscreen. Two that I like are Biore smooth UV carefree kids - no alcohol
And
Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel
As for redness Asian skincare has helped there too. I love Benton Snail Bee Essence. Check out /r/AsianBeauty
If you want to not go to crazy, this is a USA brand: Cerve PM Moisturizing Lotion that helped my redness.
Oh and Azelaic acid is a godsend. I am currently testing one from The Ordinary
I will be that person for you, lol. For reference, I have normal to oily combination skin and am prone to occasional breakouts.

There are also minis of some of these products at Sephora or on the brands’ own websites — that way, you don’t have to invest too much money off the bat if you’re not yet sure. Sephora also has a great return policy (which I will be utilizing for that retinol) and will give you samples of any of their products if you just go into a store and ask! (Somehow I did not know this until just recently.)
Hope that helps!
I've had eye issues too. This one worked glorious for me & I have tried so many.

Kids Smooth UV Milk SPF 50+ PA++++ -- on amazon, it is cheaper than the sunscreen you are currently using - and it has the advanced (photostable) asian chemical filters (if using american sunscreen, i only use physical with at least 20 percent zinc oxide - i have read that american chemical filters are not great - avobenzone is the only 1 that protects against UVA rays- but is is very unstable)
it uses the following UV filters -- Octinoxate, Tinosorb S, Uvinul A Plus, & Uvinul T 150
I was just recommended this sunscreen by someone on Reddit (i have not used it yet - but am planning on ordering it soon - i have too many sunscreens right now to justify ordering another 1). It is very cheap, alcohol free, and has high PA rating. I will add their review of the sunscreen also.

it is also on Yesstyle.com - although, it is temporarily out of stock --> https://www.yesstyle.com/en/kao-biore-kids-smooth-uv-milk-spf-50-pa-90g/info.html/pid.1049159128 (note that prices on yesstyle are usually higher)
like you, i have purchased Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk (SPF50 PA ++++) - but it is quite expensive. so, i am still on the search for my HG sunscreen. i have also purchased Canmake Mermaid Skin UV Gel (cheaper than your current sunscreen) -- which honestly it isn't too bad price-wise. it is cheaper than the skin aqua super moisture milk. i just tried it recently and really like it. it isn't water-resistant though. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X3E456K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (Canmake Mermaid Skin UV Gel)
other review:
"I highly recommend Biore UV Kids Milk SPF 50 PA++++! I have rosacea and acne and this is the one (completely chemical) sunscreen that doesn't irritate my skin or break me out. It very gently moisturizes my skin, isn't greasy, is sweat and water-resistant, and is my favorite sunscreen ever. My heart will break if Biore ever stop making it. It comes in an adorable 90ml yellow squeeze bottle. You can order it easily from Amazon - it will take a few weeks to ship, though!
**Edited to add some info I forgot: it's also completely alcohol-free and fragrance-free!"
"It's such magical stuff, too, I wish I'd found this a couple of years ago. The lack of alcohol and fragrance means it doesn't burn my very irritable skin at all - I feel absolutely nothing when putting it on and it's like spreading delightful protective water over my face! It does have a slight white cast when you first put it on, but that fades into complete invisibility after 10-15 minutes. I love it!!"

^^ is this the right one? if so, lemme order this
Most sunscreen's I've tried both dry my skin and break me out, but I adore the Can Make Mermaid Skin UV Gel with all my heart. It feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen, due to the epic ingredients.
Asian sunscreens, like Japanese or Korean. American sunscreens are greasy as fuck.
These are pretty popular among my friends:

I am sure you can find them cheaper in Japanese or Korean online shops.
>My skin is incredibly dry, and gets oily because of that
Sounds dehydrated, yeah? I'd avoid any actives for now and instead focus on moisturizing and hydrating products. Getting your skin in a healthier spot may help with the redness and pore size, so you may not need any treatments in the future! But in case you do, I'll include those options below (just with a little *active! caveat)
I'll also include some overviews on dehydration at the bottom :)
For redness: sunscreen, niacinamide, azelaic acid (active)
For large pores, you can keep them clean with consistent cleansing, oil cleansing, BHAs (active), and occasional clay masks (drying, may want to avoid while treating dehydrated skin).
Pore strips are eh - they won't make your pores any smaller, but they may remove gunk buildup for some people. But for others they may not work or they may cause damage, so it's kinda a toss up. If you liked what they did and want to continue using them, just be sure not to let them dry fully and make sure they aren't causing irritation etc.
Retinoids may be able to actually reduce pore size [1, 2], plus they're great at treating photodamage in general. They are the big guns of skincare however, so I'd table that for now until you treat the possible dehydration, get a sunscreen, get some experience with actives, yadda yadda.

Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF 50
It doesn’t pill under makeup. It sinks in quickly. No alcohol in the ingredients. Only $11-12 from Amazon.

I used Biore watery essence for a few years, it was the only sunscreen that wouldn't break me out. But it has way too much alcohol so looked for an alternative.
I found this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Canmake-Mermaid-Moisturizing-Sunscreen-SPF50/dp/B00X3E456K/ref=sr_1_1?crid=I8UXIUUJJNT3&keywords=canmake+mermaid+uv+gel&qid=1567059631&s=gateway&sprefix=canmake%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-1 and haven't looked back since. It's light, effective and has no alcohol or white cast.
There are lots of recs/reviews in the HG thread I linked. I personally use Asian sunscreens exclusively, as they tend to be more cosmetically elegant than western sunscreens. Popular options that are not drying include [Biore Watery Essence] (https://www.amazon.com/Biore-Aqua-Watery-Essence-SPF50/dp/B06XX7VW8Z), [Skin Aqua Moisture Milk] (https://www.amazon.com/ROHTO-Skin-Super-Moisture-SPF50/dp/B01MRBST6H) (alcohol free), and [Canmake Mermaid Skin] (https://www.amazon.com/CAN-make-Mermaid-Skin-AF27/dp/B00X3E456K) (alcohol free). Check out reviews in this sub and r/AsianBeauty before you buy
My favorite sunscreen is CAN make Mermaid Skin Gel UV. I’ve repurchased it over and over. There isn’t any white cast (for me), it doesn’t have a noticeable fragrance (although I’ve heard some people say it smells like coconuts I’ve honestly never even noticed a smell), doesn’t contain alcohol, doesn’t make me super oily, and doesn’t pill over my current routine. I love it.
Thanks! I used to be intimidated by some of the unfamiliar brands because I thought they'd be really expensive, but I continue to be pleasantly surprised at the cost. Here's a link to where I buy my canmake:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X3E456K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_j3-ZDbE3HR40X
Hm, this is the seller that I have used multiple times and my friend has used them as well!
thank you, you've provided insight specific to me which helps me so much. i did some browsing through the sunscreen holy grail thread and decided i'd pick up this as a starter and see how it goes for me. it's alcohol free, which can either be good or bad for me - i'm gonna just have to see how it goes because my skin tends to get slightly oily around mid-day (mainly the t-area being nose + forehead).
regarding cleansers (and moisturizers), i'm sooo bad at evaluating how they leave my face after application because i doubt my ability to recognize if my skin is dry, tight, soft, etc. if i find that it my cleanser is in fact not gentle enough however, i think i'll opt for trying to find decently low pH cleansers.
it's funny that you mention aquaphor because i feel like after doing my fair share of lurking and browsing today, i've seen plenty of people mention it. i think i might actually get aquaphor to give it a shot and see how my face reacts to that, as well.
these happen to be my first posts on /r/SkincareAddiction and i'm blown away by your descriptive responses. i was not expecting any of this, but am beyond grateful. thank you once again. :)
I bought mine from here. It looks super sketch, but it actually came (normally I search for the lowest price, and Amazon had it this time, other times I go on ebay).
It containts zinc oxide (someone correct me if I'm wrong reading the ingredients? D: ) which is a physical sunscreen, and it works lovely for me.
I live in California. I found two sunscreens and already bought them, just waiting for them to arrive. One is this and the other is this. The first one is water resistant, and the other isn't. Once I start to get sweaty from the heat in a few months I'll start using the water resistant. Also I'll most likely buy all my stuff off amazon.
I'm a male and don't wear makeup, so how well something removes makeup isn't much of a concern to me. I have oily skin, acne prone and very sensitive. I chose the products I chose because I read others review it with the same problems of mine and they said it was nice. When I asked what I should introduce, I meant which one is the most important. Like, should I buy the oil cleanser first since to use and wait three weeks before ordering the next? Or should I order the second cleanser/moisturizer first?
YMMV, but I've ordered the Canmake from this seller and this seller on Amazon with no problems.
this one?
How much mL?

Is it safe to buy from Amazon sellers so long as they have good product ratings and feedback? I want to buy Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV, Baby Pink Mineral BB Cream, Cosrx Good Morning Gel Cleanser, and Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher. Help much appreciated!
Since you live in the US and I assume have little access to Asian drugstores, consider ordering online from Rakuten or Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/CANMAKE-Mermaid-Skin-Gel-UV/dp/B00X3E456K/ - pretty sure it's alcohol free; makes my skin feel soft/hydrated not shiny.
I just buy mine through Amazon - here's a link!
