Are clamps like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B077TV5Q7Q/ref=sspa_mw_detail_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1 a save alternative to star locks on dumbbells?
My routine requires me to switch weights on every rep and I often don't finish that during the 60 second rest period.
I've already learned that spring clamps aren't considered save for Dumbbells as they can become loose and hold less weight as they age. But I wonder if using these clamps would help me save time for the sets in which the dumbbells are barely loaded.
I could still use the star locks on the dumbbells if they are nearly full.
I'd go with the new rounder ones though I have never had a problem with my two pairs of originals. New seem to have a better fit and have steel pins so assume more durable. They are a bit harder to unclip from the bar, though not sure it is a bad thing.
