If you don't want to be loud you could just hook up a ps4/xbone/wired 360 controller and just play your games like that but for when he's not sleeping could use this keyboard mouse bundle if you like the looks https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KBXKMM6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_13?smid=A2R0FX412W1BDT&psc=1

I think one of the best deals is the Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite L Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo, but the keyboard is a Men-chanical keyboard.

For KB+M, this Cooler Master Combo is pretty good.

A few things that I would change:

  • More storage. I've gone from 120gb to 240gb to 500gb SSD, and I have a total of 4TB of HDD storage, external and internal. For example, you wouldn't be able to install Final Fantasy XV in its 4K texture mode on that drive at all. And a lot of games are in the 50-80gb range, meaning you'll only be able to install one game at a time.
  • There is absolutely no point in buying a liquid cooler. Spending excessive amounts of money on cooling is only relevant if you plan to overclock the cheese out of the CPU, and even then liquid coolers are mostly for aesthetics.
  • Get a better power supply. Get something that's 500W or 600W, just do that you have some overhead, and get something other than the cheapest Corsair CX stuff. Get something from EVGA or Be Quiet!, if you want to be sure.
  • Do not buy a mechanical keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are a massive luxury, and very dependent on individual preferences. Trust me, I bought a cheap mechanical keyboard and I regret the switch choice I got. Same applies to the mouse: Mice are very dependent on comfort, so buying an expensive mouse if you don't even know whether you will use all the features or like the shape is a bad idea. Again, trust me on this, I've gone through like 6 gaming mice by now. Rather, buy something more utilitarian, like this good mouse+keyboard combo

tl;dr: Spend less on keyboard, mouse, CPU cooler. Spend more on storage and PSU. If you've got leftover after that, upgrade to a Ryzen 1600.

MasterKeys Lite from Cooler Master. They use mem-chanical switches that are supposed to have a decent tactile response. Should be a great starter.

$50 is kinda tight, my mouse alone costs more than that. But maybe check this out: https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Devastator-Keyboard-SGB-3031-KKMF1-US/dp/B01KBXKMM6/

Well, i think i saw some masterkeys with white led (non mechanical) that went for about $30, but it was on brazil so im not sure if you can find it on your usual sellers there. It was the masterkeys lite if im not mistaken. You can always buy the rgb version of a keyboard aswell and tune the lights to make it white. And for about $70 you can get the compact version of the corsair k66, it is a mechanical keyboard with cherry mx red but it has no backlight at all. I know its a little off budget, but its all i can find right now on mobile. I saw some cougar keyboard on amazon for $70 and it had white leda, but i dont know about the brand tho.

I only found the CM one bundled with the mouse on amazon. Hope i helped a little bit, and good luck finding your keyboard.
Also, this was all done on mobile, so there will be mistakes :D

I'm not sure which one of these to choose as they all seem to fit my requirements:

  • Budget: max of $100
  • Full Keyboard
  • It's for gaming, so something close to Cherry MX Brown?
  • basic backlight is fine

It'd be my first mechanical keyboard and I want to know between these keyboards which one would be the better one considering the brand and the quality

    ^^^Links ^^^are ^^^of ^^^Amazon ^^^Mexico ^^^since ^^^I ^^^live ^^^there

  • G. Skill RIP JAWS KM570 Seems to be alright, however I'm not sure of the brand being quality

  • Hyper X hx-kb1bl1-na/A1 I have one of their headsets and they seem to be quality, but they also seem overly expensive; other than that it fits my requirements

  • Logitech G413 Prodigy Seems to be alright as well, but it's using it's own switches apparently and isk how good they are

  • Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite L Combo Quality company I believe, it includes a mouse which I could use since my current one is off-brand and it's half my budget. But the switches are "mem-chanical"? so it's not fully mechanical? what are your thoughts on this?, would it good to save up a bit more for a better one and get this in the meantime to get used to mechanical?

I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks for reading

IMO this is a sweet deal if you're looking for budget. Memchanical switches are a lot nicer than a standard membrane keyboard.

I believe the Coolermaster MasterKeys Lite is a pretty good combo. It has RBG so you can just set it to red if you like. HardwareCanucks just did a video on it.

Great keyboard, i use it my fiancee uses one, the rgb customizable one is 39.99 the regular single color boards are 25 and all come with a mouse that matches.

u/XQuizyx · 1 pointr/buildapc

I've heard very good things about the Masterkeys Lite L combo. Never got around to trying it out myself though. https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-SGB-3040-KKMF1-US-MasterKeys-Keyboard/dp/B01KBXKMM6

No problem, here's my profile: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198132578610/

On the subject of keyboards, I'd recommend a decent membrane keyboard for fighting games, so that you get that smooth motion when mastering inputs. Mechanical's great too, but can be costly, and won't feel as smooth when performing motions such as quarter-circles.

The Logitech G213 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WR2JYQ/ref=dp_cr_wdg_tit_rfb) is a good example of a great membrane keyboard that will last, which is $39.99 Certified Refurbished on Amazon US (probably not your region, but it's the most common here, so it might be of use). The Cooler Master Masterkeys Lite L Combo (https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterKeys-Mem-chanical-SGB-3040-KKMF1-US/dp/B01KBXKMM6) is great as well from my research, but it's slightly more expensive due to an obligatory, average mouse that's thrown in with it.

All this said, you will undoubtedly have to do your own research on specific keyboards in your area, as I could not find any results for the keyboards you mentioned. You should be able to find something by a well-known manufacturer for around the 40 US Dollar mark, so keep searching. You'll most likely be able to manage well with your Microsoft keyboard for now, though for reliability, you may need something better. For reference, I did pretty okay on my 20 year old DELL keyboard I used to type these messages, so you'll probably be fine!

EDIT: Added links to examples of the keyboards mentioned.

I gave up Logitech years ago after consistently shitty, failing garbage components. Maybe give something a shot from CM (Cooler Master)? Hold on I'll grab a link to something...

You probably aren't going to find mechanical rgb for $60. The CM Devastator II comes in rgb though.

u/KingOfInfo · 1 pointr/BulletBarry

I couldn't find many good RGB-backlit keyboards under $90, but these two are from decent brands and have zoned RGB.
