Hey guys! I know this just looks like a generic RGB battlestation. I recently just bought a house for myself, and was finally able to set up my own gaming room, and I wanted to show it off .I plan to eventually set up my VR stuff in this room somewhere. I know the photo quality sucks, but I don't own a camera, and my iPhone camera sucks.

My mouse is dying and its warranty expired a couple weeks ago. This seems to be a trend with me where my PC accessories die within a month or 2 of the warranty expiration.

My dilemma now is do I go for a mouse design that I like (Razer Naga, Logitech G600, Corsair Schimitar,) or do I go for a design that will make me look fabulous but I am less fond of?

u/Zaxster99 · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Build quality wise, its okay. Its made of a rough ABS plastic that feels like sand paper, it feels "gritty."

Sensor wise, all these mice suck. They all use laser sensors which have various issues such as not being able to track small movements and horrible lift off distance. The Naga Trinity has a top optical sensor but the Trinity will set you back around $100.

I would recommend the Havit MMO Mouse https://www.amazon.com/HV-MS735-12000DPI-Programmable-Optical-PMW3360/dp/B01DW2VQ5A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1526089127&sr=8-3&keywords=Havit+MMO+mouse

or the Corsair Scimitar https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-SCIMITAR-Pro-RGB-Programmable/dp/B01MU3DZ2V/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526089118&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+scimitar

Both have top optical sensors based on the Pixart 3360, a Logitech G502 class sensor.

Cosair scimitar pro. Had a g502 before it and i liked cosair much more.
It feels much more ergonomic.

Also, the 12 side buttons are a must for me (have problems in my left fist, cant leave it over the keyboard for prolonged times).

I wouldnt go wireless for gaming.

Keep in mind that most of these will have a generic stiff shit cable nor can I promise the shape will be for you.

If you also plan on playing FPS with it:

For 20 USD(!), the Havit HV-MS735 is a pretty good budget option. Has a 3360 sensor, 12 grid, side scroll, and is ~107 grams with the internal weight removed, which isn't too bad for a 12 grid mouse, not to mention it being at the current price that it is.

At 30 USD, the updated Redragon M901 is the lightest 12 grid mouse available with a 3360. Has an additional button on the left side, and doesn't require any opening up to remove the weights. Weighs in at only 87 grams without weights.

At 60 USD (50 refurbished), the Corsair Scimitar is a 12 grid mouse with a 336X variant. Has the gimmick with adjusting the 12 grid, which is actually not too bad because if a 12 grid doesn't sit exactly right, you either lose full functionality or comfort. Unfortunately weighs a buttload at ~120 grams, which is normally a deal breaker for some.

Of course the Naga Trinity, which has the side panel gimmick. If the cable is like any recent Razer mouse, it'll have the best cable of the bunch by far. Also ~120 grams, so another monster in the weight class.

If you don't care about having a good sensor:

Logitech G600 at ~34 USD is an okay mouse. Logitech software is a lot better than Synapse and the crap the Chinese OEMs have. Has a pretty garbage sensor in it though, so FPS is going to be a no go.

Honestly though, the HV-MS735 and M901 are good. Unless you insist on using a mainstream mouse or dislike Chinese OEM software, the Redragon M901 is amazing due its weight class and the HV-MS734 is a budget god at 20 USD.

I know they make mice now that have up to 20 controls on them. The only issue I ever have is backing up - but Im betting an hour of key-binding would set you up nicely.

example: HERE

This is what I'm using https://www.amazon.ca/CORSAIR-Scimitar-Pro-RGB-Programmable/dp/B01MU3DZ2V/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1549312463&sr=8-2&keywords=corsair+scimitar

It's a pretty good mouse, software is a little buggy at times as in it changes my profile randomly sometimes but with EFT having so many keymaps this mouse saves me a lot of time once its setup to your liking

NAGA EPIC USER HERE

I just dumped mine after the 3rd RMA. The original Nagas (2012) were amazing but the recent iterations have been pretty poor. Here are the options I found:

Corsair Scimitar Pro This is a smaller mouse than the naga, but provides the 12 button pad and has great software to boot

Logitech G600 This one is just a little too bulky for me, I have very small hands, but it is logitech. The dual dish feature is too weird for me.

Steelseries Rival 500 Not your standard layout, but a good sensor. Large mouse , very similar to the naga epic.

In the end, I went with the Rival 500, because I liked the features (programmable rumble support) and the Pixart 3360 Optical Sensor was a good choice. It is heavy, so not ideal for fps, but i use it anyways.

Also, there is always knockoff on amazon. My brother has this one and he loves it. Eh?

Corsair Scimitar is also an option.

Depending on your budget, I have 2 different suggestions, but the reasoning for both is similar. First, the corsair rgb mousepad. I assume you have a keyboard- but how about a mousepad that isn't that thanksgiving card from aunty barb? THIS one is super nice, a great company/brand, and it is programmable RGB! Depending on what keyboard you use, you can make the light shows match! Now- if you can spend a little more, THIS MOUSE is a good option for all your mmo hot key needs! Like the mousepad, this is RGB and can match your keyboard! I KNOW you likely have a mouse- but is it like this? :)

Maybe you mean more decorative and a little smaller scale still- if so I'd say let's be bird dish twinsies! I always have little knick-knacks building up, and a cute dish LIKE THIS ONE would be fun AND useful. I have like 6 other cute little dishes on my list too- somewhere in the top 30% of default sort, all grouped together. If you get to the dnd dice, you've gone too far!

Thanks for the contest! :)

Corsair Scimitar sounds like what you’re looking for. I have their FPS mouse with the single button and has the option to have the mouse button macros cycle through different presets using keyboard macro keys (if you’re able to do that). An easy way to quickly tell what key binding is active is with the LED lights on the mouse.

Google express has that groupon deal going for them, bringing down the total to ~$25s range for the non-pro.

amazon has the pro version:
