Depends what you have a higher priority for, the aesthetics or ergonomics. I too wanted a mouse that matched the aesthetics of my setup. I wanted a blue led lit mouse that matched my keyboard lighting. Yet, I am sitting here with a non-led lit, red cased CM spawn. Its the best mouse I have found for my hand/style. I am a hybrid fingertip grip.

I haven't found another mouse quite this stubby that has all the bells and whistles like LEDs and such.I though I read a rumor about a new revision to the spawn. I would be in for sure if it added some LEDs. It is very short top to bottom. It seems to help me as I am a fingertip grip and lifter while I game. Also it is an optical sensor with not much else inside to weight it down which helps with lifting. I have been spoiled by the ring finger rest. The staggered right side helps both the ring finger and pinky move/lift the mouse.

As far as alternative... if you have big hands the [Corsair m60/65] (http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Gunmetal-CH-9000022-NA/dp/B00ARD5410/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395292598&sr=8-1&keywords=m60) was nice when I had it. It was a little too wide for my hands. I couldn't use the "sniper" button without choking up my thumb to reach.

Glad I could help, I've been looking for the old logo version of this keyboard for a couple months now. As far as the mouse and the mat. Everywhere I look for the sails logo mat its sold out, so I'm assuming corsair wont make anymore with the old logo =(. I did find this, looks like the black and green options have the old logo

Free shipping too.

According to Price Zombie this is the lowest historical price.

Available from Amazon for the same price, free prime shipping.

Also available refurbished direct from Corsair for $29.99, but you'll pay $4.89 shipping.

I have the Logitech G400s and it was is a great mouse! I use a palm grip and it fits perfectly in my hand. Across my knuckles is about 3" and from base of palm to tip of middle finger is about 7 1/8". I use one notch higher than the default DPI and love it. My only complaint is a year later and my right click needs some extra pressure to make it work. Especially when gaming. I noticed when I was trying to use a special ability while playing The Witcher. It works just fine for a single click. But when you need to right click and hold you either have to use a lot of pressure or you have to really hammer down on it and hold. Again this just started for me and I have had the mouse for about a year and that is my only complaint. I personally am looking at upgrading to either the Logitech G502 Proteus Core, Razer Taipan, or the Corsair M65. The only reason I don't run right out and get the Logitech g502 Proteus Core is the $80 price tag. Hope this helps.

I've got a hugeass mousepad. It actually sits under my mouse, keyboard, and still has room. It's a little wider than the section of desk I have it on (this is my desk, which I would highly recommend), but I love it all the same. I've got plenty of room for all of my shit.

I like my Corsair mouse quite a bit, though it's just a wee bit over the $50 parameter at $59.

Per Araziah's suggestion, I've started using f.lux. I used to use it on my (jailbroken) iPhone, and I think it is a great app/program.

I just picked this guy up a few days ago and I'm loving it. Might be a few bucks more than you're willing to spend, though not by much.

That's all well and good but M65 69.99 + free shipping, and R.A.T.5 77.99 + free shipping. Either way, enjoy whatever mouse you choose/chose!

I would reference this

> Always DISABLE Mouse Acceleration

> Always ENABLE Raw Input.

>Be able to do a 180 Degree turn easily, quickly and consistently.

>Be able to move the crosshair 1 pixel easily and consistently.
If the smallest movement you can make with your mouse moves the crosshair more than 1 pixel on screen then your sensitivity is too high.

My additions:

  • Make sure your mouse has a high polling rate (500Hz to 1000Hz). I use the Corsair Vengeance M65 with up to 1000hz polling
  • High refresh rate monitor if you can afford it (120, or preferably 144hz). This makes aiming buttery smooth.
  • FPS that at least 2x higher than your monitor refresh rate (to avoid drop off issues).
  • Lastly, game sense will help out a lot. As you become extremely familiar with maps, you'll handle corners better as they've become more muscle memory.

Newer, cheaper, and (arguably) better version. for $54.99. Or find the old one as a used model for like $45.

u/legobmw99 · 1 pointr/buildapc

While that is a solid mouse I don't think it would have anywhere near a similar feel to the g9, just based on shape alone.

The Corsair M65 seems good

u/xDreamzZx · 1 pointr/buildapc

Deathadder, not many buttons though.

Rival, not many buttons either, slightly cheaper.

Naga, not the Epic version though, but got lots of buttons.

M65, slightly over budget though, but more buttons than Deathadder and Rival, fewer than Naga.

Just some of the awesome mice (yes, mice, not mouses :D) out there :)

u/Sololegends · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I really like the Corsair M65 when it comes to mice and, well, the Corsair K70 when it comes to key boards. Both built very well. The mouse I still own and man it feels solid, a tough cable and pretty great software to go along with it.

(I think I removed any referral link, if I didn't please lemme know and I'll edit the URL!)

Is this what you were talking about? If so, I really like what I see. My only question, what do the three buttons on the top do? The square, the three scores and the hyphen?

u/ennuionwe · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

I never really got any suitable offers for selling me a replacement mouse, so I think I'm probably just going to hold on to the corsair.

That said, they can be had new for about $52 from Amazon with prime shipping or Neweggg with free shipping.

u/CoinReturn · 1 pointr/technology

I've been enjoying the M65. Haven't had any issues with Corsair's customization program, I've never been a fan of the "Sniper" buttons and it was easy to change. The weight is good and adjustable. I've had it almost a year with no mechanical issues.

u/whomad1215 · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Corsair m65.

edit: you linked only FPS games, are looking at the corsair k70. The m65 is designed for FPS games, is about $50 or less without rebates, and is built like a tank. I have the m90 which is the first gen MMO version. The aluminum base makes the mouse extremely solid, and it has the greatest scroll wheel I have ever used.

Also the m65 is designed for right-handers, has a similar shape to the deathadder.

u/Venom747 · 1 pointr/buildapc

so i've been curious about this as well so i googled a couple mice and here is what i found: tom's hardware suggest a number of mice:

Corsair Vengeance $48

razer deathadder $51

E-Blue Cobra Type M $17

others like the zowie fk, most logitech, steelseries mice are out of your price range but you can look into them if you're interested!

please let me know what you choose to go with! i'm interested to know :D i'm leaning towards the deathadder atm XD

u/ndelorey11 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I've had a Corsair m65 Vengeance for about a month now and I love it.

Not saying Razer is bad, they just need to focus on making their products last longer.

If you are looking for other mice:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AAS888S/?tag=pcpapi-20
These are some of the best.

Well technically piracy is not illegal in general because you can not be fined for downloading something made public on the internet, only uploading it. Your ISP will however try and limit your piracy habits as it makes them look bad. Now Apple specifically states that your copy of OSX should not be used on a non-apple device in its terms and conditions. But nobody ever listens to those anyways so it will probably not affect you in any way whatsoever.

As for Mac OSX as an OS, its alright. I have a Mac pro 2011 and a HP Z803 and I use both for editing video in Premiere and After Effects. Honestly in terms of editing alone I have come to I prefer Windows over Mac just for the more logical filing structure. Mac does have the advantage of the Apple ProRes Codecs and Final Cut, but I have almost no need for either. Windows is just so much more open to 3rd party editing tools or even major ones like Octane Render which is incompatible with all Macs because they are using AMD Firepro GPUs.
Also windows absolutely smokes Mac at gaming. In conclusion, I see the appeal of Mac, but it does not serve me any benefit and honestly feels quite restricting.

u/whatisthisbugshell · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

The M65 is only $8 more right now. I don't know much about these mice but I assume the M65 is better.

u/slayerboy · 1 pointr/WildStar

The Anker is, and definitely feels like a step down from the g700, but for the money I'd be ok if it got the double click of death at 6 months. It definitely took some getting used to.

Before I got the Anker, I tried the Corsair Vengeance M65 mouse, which I absolutely loved the feel and weight of but I'm an old fashioned mouse gripper from back when mice didn't have scroll wheels and use the "claw" grip as opposed to the palm grip where your middle finger is on the scroll wheel. That mouse is just a tad bit wider and it was painful for me to use. I would highly recommend trying that mouse before the Anker because it's much more sturdier.

u/oreesama · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

for the mouse you got 2 options

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Proteus-Spectrum-Tunable-Gaming/dp/B019OB663A

or

https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Gunmetal-CH-9000022-NA/dp/B00ARD5410

And for the keyboard you have a couple of options based on mouse your purchase, if you go with the corsair then i recommend these to stay on budget.

https://www.amazon.com/TOMOKO-Water-Resistant-Mechanical-Multi-color-Anti-ghosting/dp/B01DBJTZZW

or

https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K551-RGB-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B019O8YZ4A

Now if you buy the logitech you gonna have more money for a better keyboard keep in mind that those keyboards below have more than 1 choice of cherry switches so choose wisely, oh chosen one

Ok,i currently use the Roccat Kone XTD got it 2 years ago and its still AMAZING ! If this mouse every breaks i will get a Zowie FK1 (currently out of stock for amazon but you can get it somewhere else). The Zowie FK1 somewhat forces you to have it a "clawgrip" which makes your aim more accurate. And when i used it at my friends house i sometimes forgot that im using it. :) (same goes for the Kone XTD) I have Semi Big hands :) EDIT: i heard the Corsair Vengance mouse is REALLY REALLY good too. Its optimized for FPS games. EDIT2: And you should probably take a look at this mouse :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F02WUpZBRck

Corsair's m65 is fantastic. It easily lets you kill angle snapping, and it has a metal body under the top composite. http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Gunmetal-CH-9000022-NA/dp/B00ARD5410/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414889626&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+m65

It was very highly reviewed when i was mouse shopping last month.
