i've got HID on my Octane right now, but I previously had https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/7000-Lumen-H4-LED-Headlight-Bulb_p_169.html which was incredibly bright but had poor cutoff. The HID has somewhat better cutoff and is a bit brighter I think.
I picked up this one with a Halo ring. It's bright and does a great job of keeping my path lit.
