Check out the Eluktronics P650HP6

  • 15.6" FHD 1080p IPS
  • Intel i7-7700HQ Quad Core
  • 6GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
  • 256GB SSD
  • 1TB HDD
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM

The Eluktronics P650HP6 has a good cooling system and keyboard. In terms of storage you get a fast SSD and a HDD to store bulky files (and yo ca always upgrade that later any way). In terms of gaming this system has everything you need to run at your desired requirements. The IPS display will also give you a wide viewing angle which is great for gaming

Within that budget range, you could get this 2017 Eluktronics P650HP6 for a little over $1300, it would be an awesome pick. This laptop has a powerful i7 quad core processor, 16 GB RAM , very good storage inclusive of a fast SSD and of course, a powerful gtx 1060 6 GB dedicated graphics card.... It is fully VR compatible , has a very good display and build quality and it's heat management/ cooling is exemplary.

u/KayVonTrarx · 3 pointsr/LaptopDeals

So it seems like the performance/storage specs are similar on the Gigabyte P55Wr7-KL3 than the Eluktronics P650HP6 for the same price except for the current $150 coupon.

Does anyone happen to know how they match up in heat management and build quality? After having overheating issues with my current laptop's GPU and CPU, these factors and customer service matters a lot to me.

If both of their customer service stories are bad then I might as well get the Acer Aspire VX 15 as even with less performance, the cooling and customer service should be good.

Most higher end gaming laptops will have pretty pitiful battery lives.

If you were willing to spend on the higher end of your budget and really valued portability, you could look into the Gigabyte Aero 15 for ~$1950. It has thin bezels a slim build that allow it to weigh just 4.6 lbs while still having a quad core processor and GTX 1060. Despite it's thinness, it's also pretty well cooled. It also has a large 94Wh battery that can last up to 7 or 8 hours of light use.

Otherwise maybe look into an Eluktronics N850 for $1250 which has identical specs with a Quad Core i7, GTX 1060 graphics card, 16gb of ram, and 256gb PCIE SSD. It weighs quite a bit more at 5.9 lbs, but still has a decent 62Wh battery that should last up to 6 hours or so hours of light use. It is also incredibly well built and is known to have great cooling. It also has an empty M.2 hard drive slot inside to increase the storage in the future if desired. If you want more storage right off the bat you can look at the P650 model, but it has a slightly smaller battery and it's SSD's are slower SATA SSD's rather than PCIE SSD's.

If you're looking for more suggestions or are interested in getting a better idea of options on the market, I suggest taking a look at my Laptop Suggestion Guide. Best of luck!

I would recommend this [Eluktronics P650HP6] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBUH1HO/?tag=bkadamos_alltest-20) because it comes with everything you need, 7th generation, i7 quad core CPU which is one of the best in the market and great for your usage, 16GB of ram for smooth multitasking, good SSD storage of 256GB for faster boot up and loading, 1TB HDD, 15.6 inch Full HD IPS screen which is a must have for this price range, high build quality, long battery life, backlit keyboard, GeForce GTX 1060 GPU that should be able to handle games on medium to high settings with very good FPs, and it is within your budget.

u/techstar2000 · 2 pointsr/SuggestALaptop

For graphic design you will need a powerful processor preferably an i7 quad core, above 8 GB RAM (16 GB is nice), a solid graphics card and of course, good storage is always important. It is also paramount that if you will be doing this intensively, then you get a laptop with a decent heat management system that will ensure that heat doesn't affect the performance of your laptop while completing important projects.

How about this Eluktronics P650HP6 laptop that's optimized for Graphic Design. It has a powerful 7th gen i7 quad core processor, 16 GB RAM, solid gtx 1060 graphics card and of course, a large storage consisting of a 256 GB SSD plus a large 1 TB HDD..Apart from pure performance, it has a very good display, excellent build quality, solid and crunchy keyboard and handles heat very well.

You could also get this PROSTAR Clevo N850EK1 which has a more powerful processor which of course is great for a long term laptop, has a fantastic 32 GB RAM which is perfect for extremely heavy design work, a large storage, has build quality like the Eluktronics above, but a slightly weaker graphics card.. It also has a larger storage.

Actually, how about this?

u/frfrpot · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

Thanks for your recommendation! After a bit of research, price comparisons and 100+ reviews, it looks like I can't beat the Eluktronics P650HP6 for the price point. It looks beefy enough to handle anything I throw at it, it's not as un-portable as some gaming laptops, the design isn't over-the-top, and Eluktronics have overwhelmingly positive reviews.

At this point, the only question I have: should I go with the 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD, 16 GB RAM and i7-7700HQ Quad Core processor?
Or would the 512 GB SSD, 32 GB RAM and i7-6700HQ Quad Core version be a better idea (about $250 more)?

From what I understand, SSD is waayyyy quicker than HDD (and in any case, huge stuff like sample libraries will be coming from an external drive anyway, so I don't know that I'd need 1 TB on my laptop). 32 GB is probably overkill but, as I mentioned, I'm likely to invest in more heavy-duty software in the future and I like the security of knowing my device will be able to handle whatever I throw at it. The laptop can be upgraded with more drives and RAM if need be, but I'd rather not risk opening it up myself to do so.

Sorry to bother, but thanks again!

I found this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01NBUH1HO/ref=psdcmw_13896615011_t1_B01LZZJH1N?th=1&psc=1

And it seems almost identical in the internals but a whole lot of really good reviews. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

u/TeoTenan · 1 pointr/ffxiv

Spec'ing with i7-7700hq, 16 GB RAM, and the GTX 1060 that you're listing from the MSI laptop at Best Buy, I'd recommend Eluktronics offering instead.

N850HP6 Pro-X @ $1250: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072X9J4M2/

P650HP6 @ $1350: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBUH1HO/

I prefer the laptop casing for the P650HP6, though the N850HP6 is the Pro-X version that comes with a faster M.2 SSD.

u/ModsHateMe43 · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

Hey, can I ask a question? I'm looking at this right now:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01NBUH1HO/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8

And one of the reviews says that the laptop has palm protection that cant be turned off. I use the trackpad a lot, is that true? I want to be able to use the trackpad for gaming.

u/wendys182254877 · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

How is that Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Edition ($1299), with regards to the cooling system?

What would you recommend between that one, and this Eluktronics laptop?

u/theoruss · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

The 2017 Eluktronics P650HP6 15.6" is awesome at 15in, a little bit better for travel, reviews on this company is amazing.

  • Intel i7-7700HQ Quad Core
  • 6GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 VR Ready
  • 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM

If you really wanted the 17 in screen they have a version of it as well, you just lose out on the storage of the SSD down to a 128gb & 8gb of ram. 17 in version.

Thanks for replying again Jpisini :) really hope you can save me and that you’ll accept something in return should this work out.

Hi quick question, would this laptop be able to use a rift s? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBUH1HO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There's only hdmi but I was able to use a cv1 just fine a few years ago?

u/TurbulentNunga · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

Thanks so much for your help! One last question (hopefully lol). I think I may want to stick with the 1060 because pricing (I would like some leftover money to buy the Vive) and I won't be using the laptop primarily gaming, mostly strong enough to handle my editing programs and strong enough for occasional VR use/UE4 tests. So I found these three versions on Amazon:
1,
2,
3
The first is $1.2k and the other two are $1.4k and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out why. When I looked at the difference between the Pro and Pro-X versions it says "Pro-X series utilizes an ultra performance M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD which offers roughly 4-5 times faster read and write speeds." So is it better performance for less money?

u/Phryme · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

You're overshooting for what you're asking for.

This laptop by Eluktronics looks solid. I'm about to get one myself, so I'm biased, but the specs check out. Its $1350, has a fantastic IPS screen, a 1060 graphics card, and comes with a 256gb SSD with room for another HDD if you want. Almost more importantly, its a fresh windows install. (You won't have to spend 5 hours uninstalling random programs).

Just my $0.02, but Eluktronics appears to be a very underrated brand. Their laptops also don't look like spaceplanes, so it fits in a classroom well enough.

Reviews mostly dote on the screen and build quality. Haven't seen much about the keyboard but that isn't inherently a bad thing. Its probably your standard, mostly quiet keyboard.

The shopineer guy usually knows what he's talking about, and I'm sure this would make his list. The Eluktronics P650HP6 15.6"

u/CianXIII · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

Hey so I can't find much reviews, however Ill still grab the elektroniks 650 HP. Since you're the only one with info, whats the differnce between these two other than the drives?

I'm going to recommend you look at Eluktronics brand on Amazon, they have a very good 15.6in, look for a GTX 1060, although the lesser 1050ti is still very capable. The prices very widely on the configuration you want, but this is very capable, I have the 17in version of that if you want bigger.

u/edit1754 · 1 pointr/GamingLaptops

Ah. Laptop you linked was from the UK, which led me to believe that.

Something like this maybe? https://www.amazon.com/Latest-Eluktronics-P650HP6-Graphic-Design/dp/B01NBUH1HO/

u/flabahaba · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

Do you think it would be worth saving a little more to go for this build for the extra RAM, larger SSD & included HDD or would it make more sense to go with the one you linked and upgrade with individual components?

u/MushroomGoats1 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

you could look into a Eluktronics laptop, might be perfect for you. they got some pretty great specs and the styling is about as low key as you can get. I'm gone for about 180 days of the year so i looked into getting a good laptop for when I'm away from my desktop. I got my laptop with a 7700hq, 512gb ssd, 16gb of ram, 1070, and a 120hz refresh rate screen and im very happy with it so far. it also came with a fresh install of windows so there was 0 bloatware. they come with lower specs and you can spec one out on their website

Sorry for the late reply.

Out of these 3 - Clevo, Acer and Dell 7567 (I can wait a bit for the Dell to come to Europe with IPS dispaly), which one would you (and others) recommend?
Also is there any big difference if I wait a month or two for any better looking models or better price-specs coming out/to Europe?

I would really like something that looks a bit more stylish (like the Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro Black Edition, except the 1060 GPU makes the price go too high for me atm), and I would be happy to wait for such a model if its coming?

Also what do you guys think about these 2:

Eluktronics P650HP6

Aspire VX 15 Gaming Laptop

Both seem to come around 1000 GBP after shipping fees

u/s3ph · 1 pointr/laptops

Sorry for the late reply i hadn't seen your response.
How about something like this?:
https://www.amazon.com/Latest-Eluktronics-P650HP6-Graphic-Design/dp/B01NBUH1HO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1497640075&sr=1-1&keywords=eluktronics+1060

It has covered all you need for a more than decent price.
